The best part of listening to a Buckethead studio album is when you hear a riff and go "psh, there's no way he can pull that off live" and are happily proven wrong when he does it even better.
Makes me wonder why everyone chooses the soothsayer live version to react to when his studio version sounds so much cleaner. This video currently however is just as good as his studio version of Lebrontron which is absolutely amazing.
10:05 LOL You can see him *almost* go for a tapping run on the bass…then his brain just goes “NOPE”. Watching musical decisions happen on the fly is part of what makes live performance so unique and interesting.
I recommend anyone who likes his music to see him play live at least once as it is even more incredible when you are standing 5 - 10ft away from him as he melts your face! The venues are usually really small and if get there modestly early there is no reason you can’t get to the front if you want to. When you witness his size and the musical energy pouring out of him it is truly a one of a kind experience. I imagine it would be similar to seeing Mozart play when he toured around Europe in the early 1700s.
Saw him live at the basement in Nashville. It was the best concert of my life so chill also he was nice enough to let all of us touch the killswitch on his les Paul as well he gave us all gifts. A game of clue for me. A oven MIT for my friend. And a hot wheel car for my other friend. I was in disbelief when I got home.
100% agree… been listening for over 10 years, finally got to see him in San Francisco last year. The energy of that show. Second to none. Looking forward to seeing him more.
The way he looks down with his mask makes it feel like he's playing for you! I remember seeing him i think in 2009 and 2012 and i just felt like he was staring back at me so many times....he puts on an amazing show
Check my page for Soothsayer. I think it’s from 2009. He stares at my camera for more than 2 minutes then waves the guitar at the camera before walking away. Hypnotizing.
Major eargasm! I'm in love with this guitar virtuoso. His music soothes my pain and heals me. God bless him & may he bless us with his music forever...
Ive been playing over 44 years and seen many great musicians,Brian brings so much emotion out of motion.that outfit helps really much to consentrate to playing itself..self control spot on. Bow this man
He melted my face off at wakarusa 09' my god when he played jordan. But I was on every conceivable drug ever. Lsd, shrooms, molly, DMT...I mean by time special K came around I thought dude wanted me to have some cereal 😂
His technique of playing.is just mind blowing.its like every chord he plays, reaches you. This guy in all my yrs.Zepplin,Angus satch, all of them. Well let's just say.!!!$!@
I Love that Guy, What a Blessed Individual, My fave Guitar Hero, he can play as heavy as anyone, and also come up with his insane melodies. And he don't get all stupid cursing and spitting all over the stage and everything else. The Man is a true professional. :)
I want to see more , hope there is a 2019 tour , I will be there , God willing , I wish I could see him play baptism of solitude, it's my favorite, I think of my mom when I hear it , now it breaks my heart to hear it , only thing would make it better would be to see him play it ... he is amazing. Joi Unangst Haynes
Buckethead is unreal. I think he is an alien or a robot or an alien robot.. This video is awesome but doesn't come close to seeing him live. He looks like he is 10 feet tall.
His appearance actually is due to genetic disorder called marfan syndrome. People who suffer this condition are tall, thin, and have abnormally long fingers. A common test is to try and wrap your thumb and pinky around your wrist. Obviously, you can not do it...unless you have this condition. You can tell just by looking at his fingers as he plays that he most likely has it. It's how he's able to play some of the notes he does. In short: while he is for sure human, he has a genetic mutation to allows him to accomplish things most people can not on guitar. There is of course, a huge downside to the condition though: his heart is incredibly weak. Even just walking at a brisk pace can cause severe palpitations.
17:00 or so...All along the Watchtower...Can anyone imagine what Jimi would think if he walked in the door and saw Bucket? Guy has amazing strength to play that intensely for that long
@@brianvosburgh1720 there are 3 distinct bends that Jimi did in the original towards the end of the solo. Bucket repeats them here near the 17:51 mark. It’s subtle, but it’s definitely there. There are many references to Watchtower in the song, but might be what @raxxtango is referring to. Listen to this at 2:45: ruclips.net/video/TLV4_xaYynY/видео.html
Dude I still watch my recordings. He was like PLAYING TO U.S. dude I have a great clip of him literally less then a foot away zombie walking at my camera
Thank you for taking the time at the culture room and I know it's not easy there to produce such an awesome video there . The sound quality and video is definitely a 10 💯
The best 20-ish minutes video i've ever watched in a long long time. Period. The ears of the guy taking the video must be ringing way after the show lol.
Joey Narciso It was incredibly loud. I already have Tinnitus, but this definitely didn’t help matters. The ringing in my ears was much worse for nearly 2 weeks after this show.

best lebrontron live..
The best basketball player since Michael Jordan... but Buckethead is the perfect robot basketball player raised by chickens, so there you go

John Reppas Can't argue with that.
+XxdartvaderxX. i did ! it showed a song called jordan by buckethead
tbh... youtubes search engine isnt as good as it used to be maybe try google then type in top 10 songs :)
+ScragNath Check out Guthrie Govan.
Cause he is the best
I just keep finding great songs on you tube from the master, Buckethead you are the man!
The bass part is called "Kareem's Footprint". Afterwards Giant Robot, Crash Victim and Nottingham Lace. God, Buckethead is so tall
i believe he has Marfan syndrome, which would explain a few things, like his fingers!
6 foot 6. Over 7 with the bucket.
Nitro as does Arrow from Starcrawler.
