Keep at it,you will get better with practice.Big B didn’t get this great by accident,he worked at it day after day.Talent and hard work will get you to the promise land of good guitar playing.
And don't forget that Buckethead Les Paul is special built. Oversized neck to fit his giant hand reach. From a 24 1/2 all the way up to a 27" fingerboard. Plus the double kill switches Gibson put in for him. One to kill output and the other to split those ceramic humbucker coils. Oh and push pull pots. Lol. Dude is bad ass.
One tip I'd give you is to avoid using too much distortion and effects when you're still an early learner. That stuff can end up being a crutch that hides your playing mistakes and slows your improvement. Get good at playing with clean tones first before you start going crazy with effects.

I've seen him twice. Once in a 5 piece band that had a DJ. Buckethead jamming with a DJ was pretty freaking great! The second time was part of a trio. They opened with the coolest Led Zeppelin medley, after a mid-set break, came back with an AC/DC medley. Killed it! So much Fun!

I'm not totally sure, but it sounds super similar to my pigtronix mothership 2. It has these super high pitched squeals that are pretty characteristic of it.
