Hello lovely Hooman! What a fab book and cool designs, and great that they show suggestions at the back. You say using a hula hoop, if you used a much smaller hoop you could make dream catchers. What I like about the mandalas is they involve different stitches which will keep the making of it interesting. I hope you make one! Take care, hugs n stuff x x x
That’s what I was thinking as well Wendy, most rows will be different from the next keeping the making part fresh and interesting- I really would like to try one this year… we’ll see! Was nice to look at something a bit different this month. Big hugs to you lovely Wendy ❤️☺️
Hello lovely Alice!!! That book is super cute! I love the colors they use. I have never tried making mandalas before, but I am terrible with getting bored doing the same stitch over and over, haha! Your face when talking about blocking was hilarious! Yeah, I hate blocking, but I have done it before. I made the Burrow Blanket from the Harry Potter crochet book! It's my favorite blanket ever! The yarn was expensive but when I saw it I had to make it! I hope you have a great week and can't wait for your next video! Hugs! ❤
I wonder if the changes on the rows would make these a little more interesting to do then a regular blanket- might keep me interested if it changes every (or every other) row? Xx
Hi Alice! Lovely review, some great photos in the book. Beautiful mandalas. Your facial expression when you mentioned “blocking” was brilliant! I’m with you on that 🤭
Hi Alice, I really enjoyed your book review. I pulled my copy out and looked at it along with you. It is a beautiful book! I have been obsessed with Mandalas & in 2022 participated in Mandala Tuesdays with a number of channels (including Nova Gnome Creations, another cozy and positive place!) We made throw blankets, using a tutorial from Mikey at the crochet crowd, (it was called the Fall Circular Mandala blanket.) The participating channels had us send in pics of our progress, and they would share that every week. My daughter, who is a little older than yours, helped pick the colors for every round. It was so much fun and is definitely one of our favorites! I also intend to make the Mandala Madness blanket some day, there is a great tutorial for it. I might do as you said, and make a smaller version and put it in a hoop to hang on the wall. So many patterns to try!
I definitely want to give one of these a go at some point soon. I love the idea of your daughter helping you pick out the colours for your very own collaboration ❤️ That’s such a lovely idea ☺️
Hi Alice, that’s a lovely book, it’s not something I would do at the moment but maybe later on. I’m really enjoying my knitting at the moment. Thank you for this book look xx
Hello starlight and stitches Thank you so much for your mandalas to crochet- crochet book review - by Haafner Linssen From Alice Leblanc pusheen channel
🤣🤣🤣🤣 here you go, I'll tell you my shoe size, I'm a UK8, which is an EU42, not a 41 as some shops like to insist. When I lived out in Turkey, I couldn't buy ladies shoes because they only did up to a 41, they were all horrified that a female could have such BIG feet!! I either had to stock up on footwear when I came over to visit or take a chance and order online for international delivery, you'd be surprised at how many pairs of shoes, sandals, boots, etc I ended up giving away because they weren't a true size 8 and it cost too much to send them back!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hope I've given you a bit of a giggle, lovely book review by the way xx
Haha!! You’re so funny 😄 My mum is an 8 as well- and wide fit so she struggles too. That’s so funny, you’ve given me a real giggle (and I know who watches to the end of the videos now!!) xx
These are lovely in lockdown I made place mats in aran weight cotton for a friend with a Deli but it was just a plain circle might have to get this book xx
I’m pretty sure it was fairly cheap from the works when I got it- was a while ago though. I’d really like to try some of these- they look so pretty! ❤️
That book does look really interesting. I've done a few doilies but never a mandala one...often thought about it. I'm glad that you did a non-amigurumi book as I just don't have much interest in amigurumi.(PS...I hate blocking too, but for doilies it is almost a must.) My shoe size is a 26 here in Japan...I think that's in centimetres! I can't buy women's shoes here generally. Apparently Japanese women's feet don't go above 25 cm. In Canada I'm about an 8½, but I have very wide feet so even there can't get a lot of shoes.
I’m finding the size 8 and above crew in my subscribers today!! My mum is a size 8 wide fit as well. I have a few more non amigurumi books I can go through but if there is ever any you want to request just let me know 😊❤️
Hello lovely Alice. Size 6 or 7, used to be a 5. Do your feet keep growing I wonderI. love this book. I turn them into dreamcatchers. I have made huge ones using hula hoops.
Have you actually? This is what I want to do- I bet it takes ages though!! If you have any tips or hints please let me know! ❤️ I’m the same as you my feet are bigger than they used to be 😄😄
It’s a lovely book but not for me, although I do really like the flowers and the summer scarf, I’m much more of an amigurumi girl. My shoe size is 4 😂😂
I’m a 4 too!! People who havnt played to the end of the video are going to be so confused as to why everyone is talking about their shoe sizes in the comments 😄😄 That summer scarf really is lovely, maybe one day I’ll have the patience to actually do something like these 🤷🏼♀️❤️
@@starlightandstitches snap! They really are 🤣🤣 I think if I tried it I probably wouldn’t finish it cause I have no desire to make clothes and if I did finish it it’d be far too precious to actually wear

I really can’t hide my true feelings can I!! 😂😂 I don’t think we’re alone in that sentiment either!!
Thank you Alice for another great book to add to my list. I love your book reviews. I’m a crochet newbie and am so glad to have found your channel.😊
It’s so lovely to have you here Kimberly! I try and do a new one at least once a month ❤️ so pleased you enjoy them 😊

When I started crocheting many years ago, I use to make doilies for my nana. Some of the patterns look very similar to them. Good memories ❤
Aww that’s so lovely! I bet she loved them 🥰

I still can’t master knitting- I think I’m made just for crochet 😄❤️
