Best catamaran channel on RUclips hands down great job brother!!!
You are a BEAST ! The Ever Ready Rabbit on Roids ....Nothing slows you down! Carry On ! Kansas City still Approves !!!
I always enjoy the attention to detail and the thorough explanations. Thank you, Ross
Thanks Whitney, almost too much explanation I feel. Cheers Ross
You know what Rosco? You are a very intelligent man . What you have to work out with maths and the actual science behind all that you do , needs a very smart brain. You are creative and what I love about you videos is that you are humble and kind and always explain how things work for people like me. I understand most of it but untill it comes together with each prosess I'm lost at what it all means. But I can say to built your own Cat is an amazing feat and not many people in the world have done what you are achieving. Think about it ! It is so much more completed than building a two story house. It really is an amazing talent you have. Also I know this is long but you do things the right way and are very strict at using the products so you get the best results. Just look at the beautiful C company you have to see the results of your work. If I could give you a medal for an A+ I would . Well done Aussie Aussie Aussie!
Been watching Sailing Parlay Revival RUclips channel. Hes in a middle of fixing a design flaw of a lagoon 450 bulkheads. Seeing what a "professional" production does on their Catamaran...compare it to what your doing....like night and day....your work is far SUPERIOR then theirs. Your catamaran will last for decades! (besides the occasional touch up and fixes as most vessels need over time). Looking forward to all your videos.
Loving the great way you take us through the complex procedures and make them look so easy.
Cheers Steve
Ross, incredible the progress you are making. Janet must be very happy with you. Thanks for sharing.
Yep Daniel, I think J asset has a grasp of the enormity of the build, and concentrating on getting as much done as possible now.Cheers mate.Ross
Rosco, You are bloody amazing. I am always looking forward to all your progress and like others have said before, you position great shots with added explanation which is brilliant. 100% hats off to you. Love your work. Really appreciate the quality editing and series you have made. Very professional.
I know you are ahead of what we are seeing, but from my perspective the weekly progress is amazing! Great job Rosco!
Thanks John, greatt o hear form you buddy. Ross
could you put a low tack masking tape on the grid score and saw through it to minimize the breakout
Love it as always...
Your the man Ross 😀 .
Aarrrgggg now I have to wait for the next episode.
Regards from the emerald Isle.
What a process, Rossco! You inspire with the effort shown in the tasks, and the detail you provide in recording and presenting it! The added shots of the final result, or a finished piece on a completed hull, is really great. Very much appreciated. 👍👍
You are my top RUclipsr. Keep it up.
Ohh thanks Tommy.
Great choice to go thicker - many benefits !!!
Hey Rossco, you’ve been at it a fair while now ,good to see the build and the vids are a pleasure to watch. It will be a nice vessel and your attention to detail will show through in the finish. Well done ol mate !! Swampy
Gidday Swampy, so good to hear form you mate. How's Tassie, hope you and Robin are well. Cheers Ross
@@LifeOnTheHulls
Gday Rossco, we are absolutely loving tassie mate , best decision we have made. I work 4 days a week on the water and now have a Master 24 ticket. Great job with your boat , l can’t wait to see her in the water.I have been paddling also and am just about to put in a lot more time and get paddle fit for next summer. A few overnights and exploring coming up . How much longer will the build take ? Might be up before Christmas and will come down and have a couple of beers with you. Say hi to Janet and Tracey and the gang for me cheers buddy👍👍
How shocked are we Ros, to hear you say ‘I thought it would be simple, but…’ 🤣
It'd be a lot of work and a bit of waist but maybe you could tongue and groove the foam or maybe some kind of overlap edge? Or maybe I'm talking thru my hat.. Cheers Rosco. 🥂
Your work ethic continues to stun me, Rossco. Great job!
Cheers mate.All good fun.Ross
I was going to say we have lots here in Thailand not far away from you..
Add another layer to raise the toilet the Higher you go up The Wider the base is for the toilet or head
I can't believe your tenacity
Very interesting Rosco. It looks great when it’s all glued down. An amazing process.
Gidday Jeff, not as interesting as paddling with 20 whales buddy.Yewww.
I think your method of using up the smaller sheets of foam, is definitely the way to go, that way as you said, you've got all the larger sheets to do the larger jobs later on. Resourcefulness, now that's a smart mans way on how to do things right.
You know you got the needed experience for the job when we see your proficiency with Auto CAD design, or better known as Card board design, a lot of folks just don't realize how beneficial it really is to use templates, when ever possible, the time alone that is save on a project really makes a huge difference, it just speeds up the building process in so many ways. Once you get really handy with templates it just makes a real noticeable difference.
Well Ross I have to admit man you've man some great progress on this project lately, a real noticeable difference.. Good for you man. You must be stoked
As always nice work Ross.
Greate that you managed to find some foam.
Take care buddy.
All the best.
Yep Martin.needed a good cleanup but saved the day.Rossco
great to see the progress, thanks for sharing always look forward to the Thursday fix... take care Ross..
Really enjoying your videos!
I have a bit of fiberglass work to do and I was struggling with paying for it to be done or just jump in and have at it. I have done a few minor patches. But nothing like what I need to do. It's for an aircraft so weight and strength is important.
I will let you know how it goes.
Everything your doing looks wonderful!
Cheers from St. Louis Missouri.
Great work as always Mate :) . I see the Dip stick gave a thumbs Down you lost him on the Cad Carboard just to hard to Understand for Him lol :) Stay Safe All.
Its looking good
glad you got the foam core 👍👍
Very lucky Blake, and incredibly timely.Would have been in trouble without Paul for sure.Rossco
Had to watch it again.
Changed my account.
Cheers

Good stuff Kevin.
It’s so cool to watch your process.
Superb work.👍
Good onya Norman thanks for tuning in buddy.Ross
I, for one, have really appreciated you adding the photos of the intended finished boat sections into your presentation so it makes it a little easier to try to mentally flip the mold and turn it inside out to see what "we" are working on. It's very important that I don't make a mistake here!
I've forgotten, have you had the hull inspected by the inspector yet, or is that only on the finished boat?
Great work on everything one thing I gotta say on the foam core no matter how you cut it it is the same amount of cutting better off cuts the way you did it but same amount of cutting good on you
Originally what make and model catamaran were the molds used for? Voyager 440? I’d love to see photos of what it might look like when complete.
Gidday buddy.Boat was the voyager V1270.Power cat version was the last one made and there was a couple built of which Hakuna Matata has a few photos on the web.Cheers mate.Ross
Go champion! Great progress and strength info/data really interesting. 👍🏻
Jig saw puzzle- you are a pro
Cheers Linda,thanks for watching.Ross
hi the cat is looking very good nice work
Cheers Greg
No waste, love it
Cheers Rossco
My mantra buddy.Rossco
Im in a similar position, stuck in a yard waiting for engine and rigging parts... painful!
Bloody hell brother I was living through the idea that you were in the Med living my dream.Hope you get that sorted mate.Ross.
@@LifeOnTheHulls lol, nah mate still stuck waiting on a rig 😂 but I'm at least in Wales now. Should be pushing off soon. Keep up the slog brother!
Have you ever used a hot knife on the foam ?
My hat is off to you. I cannot imagine taking on a task like building a CAT. I find it very interesting.
Is flex engineered in to the laminate schedule ? By changing will it move flex to more vulnerable are?
I'm curious of how many times someone has put a foot through the open hatches? Hope not many. Great job as always!!
Didn't have any mishaps but made some blanks to fit over the holes.Next episode I address that issue.Rossco
This is the stuff!
Love that you engage with your comments section! Keep at it!
Yes divinicell is quite expensive but exellent making a stiff surface, just be sure to make a good wet bonding to the laminate
Definately wet mix,2 percent catalyst to hot coat Sea lite.Good prep and quick work the key to the bond.Ross
No wonder there’s a cardboard shortage ! 😉🤣
Rossko, you are an absolute foam master!
Love your brilliant work, but after seeing this I think I'll pass on the Schooining Kit and stay content with Top Hat....
Cheers
Stick with the top hat, superb little boat.
Perfect gedaan👍
hi there. could you tell me where I might find the sea lite product? no results on a Google search
It's going to make the factory units look bad by comparison Ross ! Maybe you can use that vibrating roller on your back and knees to relieve all the stress you're putting on them ? Take Care !
Hah.might need it at the end of this deck.Ross
What foam is this ??
Can someone please tell me ??
greetings from Liverpool Rossco,
a quick question for you,
With all the challenges Colin has had to overcome on his cat @parlayrevival does it make you think about adding a bit more lamination to the bulkheads and joints on your own boat.
as an amateur builder and repairer myself your looks so much stronger to me than the mass-produced versions that are built to a time cost budget. so I was just wondering...
I know I've peeled away a few layers on mine to make sure all is good before I splash her.
Gav
Hey Gav,will be beefing up where it is critical no doubt.Weight of the fixings on the big production boats is a lot of the problem I fear.I am reducing weight wherever I can. Ross
@@LifeOnTheHulls I've taken the belt and braces approach to my repairs.
Because I'm no expert I've wolloped the glass down.
My hull and keep are now about an inch thick 😁
Almost as thick as me
What is the roller with a long handle and cord? Vibrating?
It is a vibrating roller Kevin.Has a piston and acts like a mini steamroller that agitates the sealite into the pores and perforations of the foam.
@@LifeOnTheHullsDo you have any idea where I would buy a vibrating roller? Thanks
Great work and progress Ross.
One question, would it not be worth using foam strips on the radius areas as I would think the condensation attraction of a solid glass infill would be a pain to the headlining and cause drips too.
Of course, you wouldn't get away with calling someone a massive flange in this part of the world ..... Keep on troshin !
Haha.
I can see you were good a jigsaw as a kid 🤣😂🤣
I'm awake up to what you're doing here ya sneaky bastard, this isn't a boat build, you're making a giant esky.
That's some chilli bin if that's the case, great idea.
Hi
Dam you don't shy away from a hard days work that's for sure. Nine hours on your knees like that is hard on a yung guy. I'm not implying your an old man like me but
That foam looks manky!
Actually ok needed some sanding and clean up.Had a hoard of dust and dirt from storage over the years.Beggar couldn't be a chooser in this case.Rossco
Try coosa panels.
Coosa panels are great for bulkheads transom etc, won't work in this instance they are already laminated and don't lend them to cover contoured surfaces and minimal bending.Cheers mate.Ross

Isn't 20 mm 3/4" not 3/8".
Yes it is ,I admit the typo, cut and paste strikes again.Cheers Ross
20 mm is not 3/8. typo?
:-)
T.
Well spotted.bugger.The old cut and paste strikes again.
