I watch every episode with great interest! Unintended consequence! For 1/2 of each day after I watch an episode, I sound just like you! Day before: “Hey Chery, what did I do with the bag from the composite shop”? “ I bought some new rollers”. “I thought I left them right here.” Day after: “Hey luv, where you reckon I did with the bag from the comp-sit shop?” “I bought some new fin rollahs”. “ I thought I left them right heah “. Thanks for a much appreciated trip down in the hulls. I’m building some molds right now.

Ross, I have enjoyed watching you pull the modules in and out for awhile but the fitting of this one really shows well how these modules fit and are integrated into the hull. Great work and thanks for sharing this epic build.

Progress - looking better every week Ross 👍 and yes, as you point out, there are very few boats that are actually symmetrical, including production made! Boats really are a unique beast hey! 😀

Once again you've done a great video Ross. That hard top will really makes a huge difference on your friends Cat. As for the progress on your cat, you are really making a difference now. Showing the overlays of the finished version and your work in progress really does a wonderful job of helping us visualize where in the Boat you are working. Continue to take care of yourself and the bride. Regards, Solomon

Hey Ross, I`m binge watching from the start and just watched you struggle to get the stairs out of their mold. I worked in construction most of my life, and we used to use some pretty complex polystyrene shapes to cast concrete against. As we wanted to re-use them , getting them out of the concrete without damage was important as they cost a bomb! We found using compressed air was the way to go. Something for you to think about mate

WAIT A MINUTE "CAPTAIN ROSS", or should I say Captain Janet. #1, having the 4th bed just in caase you have a full boat can be rememdied by letting the youngsters camp in the cockpit and the salon. Remember the saying, cruising is camping and the kids would like to sleep outside more than having a bedroom. Also, where are you going to put all the spares, a vice, tool box, etc. Pulling a toolbox out of a hole in the sole is a backbreaker. I was also wondering why you wouldn't have a hull just for you and Janet. We all know the more comfortable boat is 3 staterooms with one hull for the owners. Obvioously, it's your boat and I'm just ranting on because I'm having fun. Also, did yousay those hardtops are for a Seawind Cat? Love your channel, and your workmanship is certainly on a par with any boatbuilder in the world. You and Teal are the two best fiberglass guys I've seen. SV Seeker also has it down when it comes to homebuilt steel boats.

Great work (again), Ross. I have a question... I hear you often talking about getting things "level." I build things that attach to ground so I understand the concept of level and square but I'm curious how that works when you are building a boat. What part of the hull mold did you set to level when you got started? More importantly, how do you know how the boat will sit in the water once it is fully built and loaded? Obviously, you want the level that you are setting everything to as you build it on land to be the same when you float it. But it seems that the. way in which the boat sits in the water will have a lot to do with how your weight distribution compares to the original design.

Should have put the aluminium profiles on top, then screw the part to it to hold it in place. Then fillet from the inside, tab from the inside. Once cured remove the aluminium profiles, fillet and light sanding. Same strength and a lot less fairing and sanding needed. Always plan your work to minimize fairing and sanding - those are by far the most time consuming tasks.

Would like to see a bit of time spent on whatever instructions or documents you did get for assembly. Since this was not sold as a home built kit, I would imagine the documentation was on the sparse side. Are there any completed versions close to you that you can use for a reference or what do you do when your not sure of a step or sequence or something ??
