I installed a 4D TECH Start/Stop Eliminator on my 2020 F-150 5.0L today. Turn key to "ACC", plug the unit into the OBD-II port, start the truck, and the "A" button reads, "OFF" every time. No more engine shutdowns at stop lights. I love it!
I just bought my first truck, a 2017 ford f 150 xl, this video helped allot with some ideas. For me so fat I've put in led interior lights, then a gas cap sticker, and a talgaite sticker. Thanks for the awesome ideas! hopefully my truck will look as nice as this one someday!!! Thanks!!!!

Great looking truck, love the storm trooper look. I suggest you give Forscan a try. You could of disabled auto start/stop from the truck’s ECM. Also disable hyper flash on your tail lights and a bunch of other mods. RUclips it bru, you will love it.
Plasti-dip is great stuff. I did my badges and rims on my '09 and it turned out nice. Just bought a '14 FX4 5.0 that'll be getting that treatment, this week.
Catch can is a great mod but it has more to do with direct injection than the turbos. The valves get gummed up otherwise and keeping the turbos cleaner is just a bonus.
I installed the SeaLight led high, low, and fogs. I also installed switchback led turn signals. They are a amber turn signal but the switch to a day time running light when the turn signal cancels. They really add to the amount of light at the front of the truck.
Great upgrades and they seem somewhat simple to do. I don’t have an F150 yet but already have my eye on a 2017. More videos like this one would be great.

Good video. I have been told by some mechanics that if you have 2020 or newer you don't need a catch-can because they fixed the issue. The start/stop, you just need to unplug it under the steering wheel and that will prevent the truck from auto-turning off.
With the tail lights/blinkers, you need to splice in a resistor to the new LED lights. LED's consume a lot less power so they flicker twice as fast when you don't have a resistor wired in. I've done it several times. RIP Ken Block

Sorry, too lazy to read through the comments to see if this has already been said, but: Doesn't that LED light bar on the front bumper interfere/restrict the airflow to the intercooler? (I have an EcoBoost and was under the impression that should be an open airway for the most part)
You should add these: - rwd rear shocks (Rancho or Eibach) - proper rwd coilover leveling kit (Eibach or Elka) - sway bar (less body roll) - upgraded brake rotors - painted brake calipers - cold air intake - exhaust - body color mirror caps - bed cover - center armrest cover - painted air vent trim and paint correction detail (remove those swirl marks, maybe add a ceramic coating too)
So it really depends on how much height your putting on your truck. And if your doing a suspension or a body lift. Both change the Center of Gravity which is why ppl say it affects the steering but the suspension has a bigger effect than just a regular body lift cuz you normally just do about a 2" lift. Thats why suspension lift is more expensive cuz more modifications have to be done to multiple parts over the basic body/ lvl lift kits
If you undo the clips for the inner fender and pull it back using a tie down strap, you can sit on the ground with your back against the tire and 'easily' replace the bulbs and dust covers. I found this far easier than laying on the ground and going straight up behind the bumper.

I did not install a resistor and that’s why the blinker flashed double time with the LED. So I left the turn/brake light with the stock halogen bulb and only put the LED for the reverse. I noticed your upper arm after installing level kit is leveled (straight), how, because I installed level kit on my 2017 lariat but still the upper arm facing downward. I appreciate if you share what you did.
Hey Anees, I actually had a shop install the level kit so unfortunately I cannot give you specifics. My basic understanding is you disconnect the shock, bolt the spacer to the shock, and the install it back in the shock tower. And then you’ll need to get the wheels re-aligned. Hope that helps!!
@@MagargeeFilms same here shocks were disconnected and fixed the levelling kit, then did the wheel alignment but still the upper arm facing downward and due to offloading the upper arm hitting the coilover.😥. Anyway thank you for response. 👍🏻

I don’t yet. I basically spliced in the positive to the running lights and then grounded the negative. Secured the Amber lights to the grill with zip ties.

But when you say 33” like I hear 33’s, 35’s, etc. what does that number actually depict? Would it be the outer diameter? Because I have toyo open country tires on mine and they have an outer diameter of 34”
Hey Kyle! Congrats on the new truck! So when you hear 33" or 33s or 35s, thats referring to the outter diameter of the tire (or how tall the tire is when standing up right). Keep in mind that number isn't exactly accurate if you were to get out a tape measurer and measure it for yourself. You’ve got a nice looking truck. It seems like you spent a lot of time on it. Do you have a video on how you plastidipped your emblems. I’ve attempted it before but did not come out as clean as yours.
Thanks for the love! No I have not made a video yet but would like to make one soon! The key is apply the next layer before the previous one has completely dried. That way they bond together. And when you peel it off, make sure the plasti dip is 100% dry and tear away from the emblem (down, up, or to the side). If you pull straight towards you, you’re more likely to pull the PD off the emblem

It’s amazing!! Takes like 2 seconds to open up or close, protects the the dash, and keeps the truck cool. It’s also compact and out of the way when driving. Doesnt block visibility at all.

Truck looks good! One question, you said yours was a 2x4 not a 4x4, but it looks like you have a 2h 4h switch, did you change out the coin holder to that or is it something else? Thanks
Thanks! So it actually came with that knob. It’s looks like the 4h 2h knob but it controls the diff-locker only. On the 4x4s, you turn the knob to change the drive and pull the knob out to turn on the diff-locker. But with the 2wd, it just turns to activate the diff-locker.

There is a connection under the steering column that would eliminate the start/stop feature. Just unplug it.

I found that if I lightly hold brake when at a stop the engine does not cut off. When I push down firmly it cuts off.

I have a 2017 XLT FX4. It has stock 20 inch wheels on it. It is not level or lifted. Can I put 33s on it and not rub? Please advise

You have a 2WD truck. And you have a 4WD selector knob at 18:53 (right below left vent)? Mine is the coin tray of shame there.

It doesn’t not cause airflow problems.
Ford sells these truck from the dealership with a license plate covering that hole anyways.

Is the light bar infront of the intercooler blocking air for the turbos?
The light bar is in front of the intercooler but there’s plenty of room for air so get in still. Never had an overheating issue (knock on wood)

You should add these:

When installing a level kit does it change the steering in anyway? I've been told this but not sure if it is true.
I did not notice any steering differences or issues. You do however need to get an alignment after installing the level kit.

Do you have a link for the tail light reverse bulbs? Did you have to install resistors when you replace the original bulbs with these LEDs?
I did not install a resistor and that’s why the blinker flashed double time with the LED. So I left the turn/brake light with the stock halogen bulb and only put the LED for the reverse. If you want to use the LED bulb for brake and turn, you’d probably need the resistor

I noticed your upper arm after installing level kit is leveled (straight), how, because I installed level kit on my 2017 lariat but still the upper arm facing downward. I appreciate if you share what you did.
Hey Anees, I actually had a shop install the level kit so unfortunately I cannot give you specifics. My basic understanding is you disconnect the shock, bolt the spacer to the shock, and the install it back in the shock tower. And then you’ll need to get the wheels re-aligned. Hope that helps!!
@@MagargeeFilms same here shocks were disconnected and fixed the levelling kit, then did the wheel alignment but still the upper arm facing downward and due to offloading the upper arm hitting the coilover.😥. Anyway thank you for response. 👍🏻

I don’t yet. I basically spliced in the positive to the running lights and then grounded the negative. Secured the Amber lights to the grill with zip ties.
How you secured them? Cause I used zip ties and they get way out of place. Yours look centered

But when you say 33” like I hear 33’s, 35’s, etc. what does that number actually depict? Would it be the outer diameter? Because I have toyo open country tires on mine and they have an outer diameter of 34”
Hey Kyle! Congrats on the new truck! So when you hear 33" or 33s or 35s, thats referring to the outter diameter of the tire (or how tall the tire is when standing up right). Keep in mind that number isn't exactly accurate if you were to get out a tape measurer and measure it for yourself. You’ve got a nice looking truck. It seems like you spent a lot of time on it. Do you have a video on how you plastidipped your emblems. I’ve attempted it before but did not come out as clean as yours.
Thanks for the love! No I have not made a video yet but would like to make one soon! The key is apply the next layer before the previous one has completely dried. That way they bond together. And when you peel it off, make sure the plasti dip is 100% dry and tear away from the emblem (down, up, or to the side). If you pull straight towards you, you’re more likely to pull the PD off the emblem

How well is the sun shade working out ? Some reviews on Amazon didnt like too much .
It’s amazing!! Takes like 2 seconds to open up or close, protects the the dash, and keeps the truck cool. It’s also compact and out of the way when driving. Doesnt block visibility at all.

Truck looks good! One question, you said yours was a 2x4 not a 4x4, but it looks like you have a 2h 4h switch, did you change out the coin holder to that or is it something else? Thanks
Thanks! So it actually came with that knob. It’s looks like the 4h 2h knob but it controls the diff-locker only.
On the 4x4s, you turn the knob to change the drive and pull the knob out to turn on the diff-locker. But with the 2wd, it just turns to activate the diff-locker.
