      @@ysinvangulik1004 Puscifer are very different. He sings with a female singer called Carina Round.Their songs are very clever and good. I recommend listening to Humbling River, which is and older track, or listen to The underwhelming, or Bullet train to iowa from the new album. Also, the Arsonist and the Remedy are bangers from their album before last.
      They are amazing live and have a very cool gimmick involving aliens and abduction etc etc.

    This is IMO, best TOOL album ever, this is like the line that separates 2 different pahses of Tool, the Opiate and the Undertow albums from the albums that came after Aenima but is just more than just a divisory line, in this album you can hear the essence of the first 2 albums but improved with way more complex Polyrhythms, that in my opinion, laid the path for the upcoming albums after Aenima, so this album was key for tool to continue down the road they set up for today's Tool to happen, so they were just getting better and better with time, evolving in difficulty and mastering complexity at a level where composing near-to-impossible songs to be replicated is a task you hear accomplished in each of their songs, but that's my thought about AEnima album where this song is housed, congrats on reacting to AEnima album, very excited about it.

    • @MosquitoCreative
      @MosquitoCreative 5 месяцев назад +2

      The difference between pre and post Aenima is the bassist. Tool's original bassist was a guitarist, not a bassist, so he quit after Undertow. For Aenima, they got Justin Chancellor in from Peach, who supported them on the Undertow tour in Europe. Pre Aenima, the bass pretty much just followed the guitar. Post Aenima, the bass took the lead allowing Adam Jones to do more interesting things n the guitar.

    MJK remarked somewhere a long time ago that there was a point where he realised they could really get sucked into that rock star life if they wanted to, & how he knew he needed to change that. They’ve had / have fun recreationally, but they’re so good at the age they are now bc they never went too far. I think metaphorically, MJK is saying how far are you going to go with wealth/fame/boredom/privilege - it won’t ever end going that route, bc it’s never enough.

The sound production for this particular album done by Sylvia Massy is the best that I have ever heard. Paul D^Amour played a Rickenbacker 4001CS bass guitar it is a Chris Squire signature Bass guitar it has an aggressive picked tone with a thick sound. Unfortunately this was the last Album that Paul played on with TOOL.

    Just saw this... Tool have become a top 5 all time band, imo, yes i have a bit of knowledge when it comes to music, but Tool are not music, they are artists,...like Van Gogh, Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Banksy. Tool have a great collection of songs, all of them with meaning, some kind of happy, but some dark and disturbing,...
    Great reaction MollyBoy, ( not a big Slipknot fan, they're alright, just not for me, thats why im here lol.)

    The song is about exactly what you thought it was about. :) Yes, you need to see the Danny Carey drum cam version of Pneuma. You'll see exactly why the man is the GOAT.
