It's more about the TOOL Army assuming he is hooked and more content will automatically follow, but most don't understand that the youtube algorithm is heavily driven by comments - so the assumption = less comments asking/suggesting.
Brother, don't listen to those turds that complain about you pausing. Most people don't tune in to hear the song... I'd just go play it if that's what I was after. I watch these reaction videos of some of my favorite bands because it's nice to experience someone's first time. You do it your way, don't worry about the turds. If you need to pause to address something, by all means. Honestly, those are the moments when questions are asked or things are noticed that I can then come to the comments and engage with you and the rest of the audience. By the way, if you don't like something, don't be afraid to speak your mind on it. Don't censor yourself to please anyway. We'll respect you more for that. ;)
Maynard once wrestled a guy who jumped on stage while he was singing pushit. Wrapped the mic wire round his kneck and sat on top of him. All while he carried on singing. Footage is out there.
I say anytime that you feel like you need to pause the comment and discuss what you appreciate about the musical art and a massive talent you just listen to please do so. I myself enjoy watching a person enjoy tool for the first time just to see the amount of excitement for the massive talent they just heard.
The stankface says it! No one out there is doing what Tool does. Love your reactions to hearing it. What until you know the lyrics, Maynard is such an awesome writer. Welcome to the army my man.
Parabol/Parabola should be next! It's meant to be listened to without a pause, though. So, it has to be the 9-10 minute audio only or the official music video. Talk about something completely different / amazing!
The two songs are meant to be listened to together, yes, but who said they are meant to be listened to without a pause? Dictating reactors on how to listen to Tool has made some of them stop listening to Tool alltogether, and I see why. Let people discover Tool the way they want!
Please listen to the parabol parabola combo. Listen to every word. And the message that life is temporary and so is pain and discomfort. Parabol is the soul waiting to be born. And parabola is being born. I'm a tool army stooge. But that song and lyrics are top end
His frustration and desire here begs for change.. "why wouldn't you welcome any change, MY FRIEND" I always loved that line in this song. But.. It's been over 20 years..and all I can say now is: Mom... please!!!!
when you listen to the song following this and then the subsequent album, it makes this song make even more sense - third eye is the next full song after - a song very much about partaking in psychedelics Then the next album is a much more full but subdued Tool. MJK left Cali to live in Arizone because he is very much not one ‘of them’ and he was kinda angsty and angry and held these grudges Then Third Eye was opened and then the Lateralus album is the aftermath of that. Maynard grew up in the midwest USA - we get 4 seasons here, and for a few months a year you are stuck inside and also, he grew up doing actual work - chopping wood, gardening, survival stuff. so yeah, California was NOT for him.
Tool have a lot of crossover appeal. They play metal festivals and often are called a metal band. They're just different. Metal is almost an umbrella of genres. But Tool are just Tool at the end of the day.
I thought you forgot about Tool.. I'm here!! Tool fan right here👋 Pause all you want, I like to hear your reaction plus I wish your videos were longer👌
We are definitely wanting more Tool. Some of his best vocals in my opinion are ...Right in Two from the 10,000 Days album. Live videos to watch are....Sober and the drum cam video Pneuma which is an album you haven't heard yet. Keep making the videos.
TOOL hits different. Edit > I’ve seen them in concert probably 6 or 7 times the first was during Aenmia…. The last was when Fear Inoculum came out. They never fail to impress. I saw all Maynard’s side projects multiple times as well….. Puscifer and Perfect Circle. He’s amazing.
I started listening to music around 1972. Since then I've only heard 6 bands that were absolute game changers. They introduced music to my ears so original that they changed Rock music for me forever: Led Zeppelin Black Sabbath Boston Van Halen Metallica Tool
@Pohgrey it's absolutely 💯 fuckin Phenomenal!! I've had the pleasure of seeing Tool live twice...that's a fucken show!! Absolutely top 5 of my concerts! They're Amazing live!
Would love to see you check out the live version of “Sober” as Maynard really puts on a performance. And great watch is Danny Carey’s live version of Pneuma, the drums halfway through are out of this world!
You have GOT to start looking at the lyrics for Tool and a few other bands. Tool lyrics and Maynard’s vocals are just another instrument in the band . AMAZING
Most, if not all, Tool songs have really interesting lyrics, but this is one of the tops. It's about Maynard's disgust with the superficiality and ridiculousness of LA and his desire to see Mother Earth swallow it up with earthquakes and tidal waves!
My original cd copy of this album, thats long lost sadly, had a lenticular front cover and when u took the booklet out it had a pic of the USA inside and u slid it in the clear cover and angled it and one whole side of the USA disappeared
@marcharris8216 I still have that! It's actually only half of California that disappears, though. And on the liner notes booklet there's a disturbing picture. It's 4 guys on a couch in the background(the band I presume) and some kind of humanoid on the floor in the foreground and when you tilt it he appears to be fellating himself 😳
This one will always be 💎 Btw, love your stank faces and your comments. Do pause, cuz we do want to hear your thoughts, why else we be here for if not that?!
This is my favorite Tool song. I saw em live a couple of years ago. It was mind blowing. They turned the lights on at the end and Maynor said “y’all have been good, let’s turn the lights on. Take some pictures’. The song they played for that was “Stinkfist”. F cali. 🤘
Your next Tool reaction should be one of my absolute favorites, "Parabol\Parabola". Parabol is an amazing intro to Parabola, which will melt your face off.
There is a short video of Maynard putting a fan in a choke hold live in concert. Maynard keeps singing the whole time. He is amazing. You should check it out.
More Tool reactions please. My favorite band of all time. Watching you react to them reminds me I the feeling I had the first time I heard these songs.
Hey , it’s ok to pause, we’ve heard the song already, LOL It’s just fun to watch someone react for the first time to get back that feeling of listening to them in the 90s .. I’m going to catch them live in Vegas , I think it’s going to be my 15th time !! One of the best live shows you can ever see !! And I’ve seen almost everyone .. Do Parabol/Parabola next , make sure you do them together.. it’s a spiritual song about how bad ass we are ( Eternal) !!
Tool army’s still here. Many tracks left. 46 and 2, lateralus, ticks and leeches, euglogy, the grudge, descending to name a few. Save third eye until the end of your journey.
You could never do TOO much of tool MollyBoy! The tool fans you have following, like me, won’t put your channel down, until you stop playing Tool. So do yourself a favour and keep em coming. Once you’ve gone through every one of there songs, do a “Revisit Reaction Series” (is that already a thing?🤣) and go through the entire list again. We will follow and continue to grow your channel. Seriously but MollyBoy, love your work brother! Do you MollyBoy, do you, and pause the shit out of the songs and get your commentary and your thoughts and your emotions out right then and there while it’s real, raw and true in that moment of presence! We can listen to this song, unpaused in various other places. I come hear to share in YOUR initial experience of something I too love and have a huge passion for. When you are a geek level fan (speaking from experience), you have enjoyed a particular song or moment, in all ways possible. I can’t enjoy tool in any more or in any other way, than I already do. So sharing and watching others experience the same feelings and emotions I do with this music, is why I’m hear. Keep doing TooL and Keep doing YOU!❤
I discovered Tool in 2022, and I became a massive fan, and I have never listened to heavy metal before, so I totally get how you feel about their music. It’s just real and powerful without stressing you out.
Ya see, we are ignorant Tool fans, we ask ourselves, how can you go 12 days without reacting to Tool shm!!! Why do you need us to ask? If that’s the case, please do a Tool reaction everyday! 😊 🤘🏻🌀
TOOL is on tour for the first time in a long time. TOOL fans are going to concerts for their fix right now. After touring, people will return to RUclips to get their fix.
If you like his voice just wait until you get to Maynard's other works like A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Puscifer has one with actress Mia Jovovich called What Do You Know? From A Perfect Circle there's their most known one Judith and one of my absolute faves is Brena. 3 Libras is solid, too.
I miss you doing Tool bro! We need more. This song is basically Maynard talking about the corruption of Hollywood and how its poisoned society with its glamour and drugs and how it should all be "Flushed away" and gotten rid of and start over.
Another really popular Tool song is "Pneuma - Drum cam" from the Vic Firth channel. And there's also "Right in Two" which usually attracts a crowd! Have you checked out Tool, Pneuma the Dana Carey drum cam video yet 🤔 after watching that video I recommend checking out what drum teachers react to that video 😮 a whole other level of amazing 😮 enjoy 😎
Firstly you are awsome and genuine and your reaction vids are class, keep it up. Second, this is a reaction video, if people just want to hear the song , they should go listen to it on their own. Stop and comment at will, because hearing yourcl thoughts and reaction is why we are here. Great job!
This album came out when I was 17 years old and this song has been my favorite song since the first time I heard it. It never gets old to me. Hearing it performed live has always given me chills. I truly hope I get to hear it again at the end of the month in Biloxi
Tool army sound off! Click that like and toss comments! Molly needs more tool. Get this stuff in the algorithm. Molly, good to hear your family is getting into tool from your reactions. I suspect you are just not getting in the algorithm. Us tool fans are rabid and smash like buttons. So, I think it's a glitch in the matrix. Not what you are doing. Plow on and keep up the good work.
Hey bro great reaction. It's your channel brother if you want to pause then pause fuck what people say. I'm loving you tool reactions man please keep them coming 🤘🤘
Damn it man we want to see neuma with the carry cam! The people have spoken! 😂 seen them live twice about 20 years ago and still some of the best shows I've seen.
If you don't like the blanking pausing then get lost .. you are my favorite Reviewer Molly Boy..Tool Is The Best you are do fun to watch your reactions are the best.. my Brother in law was from England.. I love the way they talk the slang it is totally Different than American..
I am going to see Tool concert in Miami on 1/18/24 for my 50th birthday. Cannot wait!
Nice! Enjoy! February 5th in Denver for me!
Damn bro, I live near Miami. Enjoy!
I’m traveling from Tampa to Atlanta on January 25th! It will be my Sixth time seeing them live. Been a fan since 1996!
Pro tip: Do drugs
Baltimore on the 10th for me. Enjoy!
Here for TOOL. Just pick any song. They don't have a bad song. I can't believe TOOL Army isn't watching. YT must not be notifying for some reason.
That's for sure what happened to me. I was like: why is he only doing Metallica and Pantera for an eternity? 😅
It's more about the TOOL Army assuming he is hooked and more content will automatically follow, but most don't understand that the youtube algorithm is heavily driven by comments - so the assumption = less comments asking/suggesting.
@Phyto. I can see that as well

Tool Army checking in. Agree with an earlier post, listen to Danny Carey's Pneuma drum cam. You will listen differently after that 🥁
Maynard once wrestled a guy who jumped on stage while he was singing pushit. Wrapped the mic wire round his kneck and sat on top of him. All while he carried on singing. Footage is out there.
Hahahahaaaaa! First time hearing this story. That is EPIC.
He rode that dude for a while… ruclips.net/video/dS41ost0pM8/видео.htmlsi=_7ivTbv7vxbZROVL
@@morgansmmoaddiction6185 Oh yeah that's real. Maynard studied Brazilian jujitsu, he put that dude in a proper hold until security came.
Yeah Maynard is a blackbelt in Gracie jiu-jitsu so dude fucked up lol
Pause as much as you need to, that's why we're here.... to see you react to Tool.... here for it
This album changed all the rules. Music was never the same after it. Tool reaches into your soul and pulls out little pieces.
Feel the same way about 311 Grassroots from 1994. One of the best sophomore albums ever.
ever heard of cynic "focus'?
@@Mutabor1981nope but googling it right now.
It's my absolute favorite song ever!! I personally cannot wait for it all to go down. Wash it all away. It's time.

As a 53 yo Tool fan (since summer 93) I love it 🖤🤘🏻check out the “Undertow” album 👍
Aenima is one the the best songs ever. I love tool and have since opiate in the early 1990's
This is an incredible Tool song.
Said everyone about every TOOL song
@@CoastPropertyBuyers Nah. Plenty of Tool I dont like, in fact I think Puscifer is far better, but this particular song is excellent.
Tool on tour now go see live to anyone who never has...
I just found your videos today. Love seeing new younger generations taking interest in Tool. Thanks for doing these.
This is, in my opinion, the greatest metal song of all time.

Love the reaction. TOOL songs ARE very different. Each one is a work of art by itself. You want goosebumps? See them in concert.🤟
Tool have a lot of crossover appeal. They play metal festivals and often are called a metal band. They're just different. Metal is almost an umbrella of genres. But Tool are just Tool at the end of the day.
Saw this song NYE 95/96 in Oakland, before the album came out. Still my favorite song forever and always.
We’re still here!!!! TOOL🌀🌀
YES, he really just said 'Mom's gonna put it back the way it ought to be!'
The whole album is a masterpiece, indeed

Love me some Tool! You've got to react to Tool Live with Danny Carey on his drum kit!! It's insane!! Incredible 🥁
Danny is one of the best drummers alive right now, even at his age. His Vic Firth drum cam version of "Pneuma" is freaking amazing!

Went to my first Tool show last month, they sounded even better live. SO talented.

This song is such a banger. I live in CA, and I would welcome the flood 😎🤘
I discovered Tool in 2022, and I became a massive fan, and I have never listened to heavy metal before, so I totally get how you feel about their music. It’s just real and powerful without stressing you out.

These are THE BEST lyrics of all time. Fucking yes.
Maynard has the sickest tattoo. The spine down his back. 🔥
I hope you can react to tool more frequently. This band brings me true happiness. Great reaction!
Please do more Tool
TOOL is on tour for the first time in a long time. TOOL fans are going to concerts for their fix right now. After touring, people will return to RUclips to get their fix.
If you like his voice just wait until you get to Maynard's other works like A Perfect Circle and Puscifer.
Puscifer has one with actress Mia Jovovich called What Do You Know? Another great ambient one from Puscifer is Sour Grapes (Late For Dinner Mix). Oddly beautiful. And the Humbling River is outstanding and kinda perfect for the way things are in the world right now.
From A Perfect Circle there's their most known one Judith and one of my absolute faves is Brena. 3 Libras is solid, too.
My students introduced me to Tool a number of years ago. They are insanely good musicians.
And live? The classic reaction to Tool live is Sober. Some things are a cliche for a very good reason.
I miss you doing Tool bro! We need more. This song is basically Maynard talking about the corruption of Hollywood and how its poisoned society with its glamour and drugs and how it should all be "Flushed away" and gotten rid of and start over.
It's a reference to Bill Hicks' Arizona Bay stand up comedy special as well.
Nah, this is just an FU to LA.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Always happy to expand the Tool Army. Spiral out, keep going🤟🤟🌀🌀
Another really popular Tool song is "Pneuma - Drum cam" from the Vic Firth channel.
And there's also "Right in Two" which usually attracts a crowd!
EDIT Oh and you're also missing "7empest" which is an epic 16min track.
And "Disposition - Reflection - Triad" which are called the Holy Trinity, 3 songs meant to be one basically.
Seeing Tool live is an experience like no other! I HIGHLY suggest seeing them.
Right in Two.
Pneuma, invincible and descending from their newest album Fear Inoculum are awesome and you still gotta do the Danny Carey Drum Cam!!!
This song is about LA falling in the water and all of the people gone...AKA "Learn to Swim", and I agree!
Haven't delved into this band much but I've always loved this one. That entire interlude is fantastic.
Have you checked out Tool, Pneuma the Dana Carey drum cam video yet 🤔 after watching that video I recommend checking out what drum teachers react to that video 😮 a whole other level of amazing 😮 enjoy 😎
You have to watch the live videos of "Sober" and "Pneuma". Pneuma is a drum cam video, so it focuses on Danny. It is very well done!!
to this day the best concert i've ever been to, they were AMAZING live! talking about california falling into the ocean "see you at arizona bay"
Feel an experience. Carry drum cam. Inspiring when someone is so amazing.
