- The reason I haven't done a Tool video in a while is because not many people have been asking for them. My last Tool video also didn't do anywhere near as good as my other Tool videos. Here's another one anyway, this song was a banger. So refreshing hearing something different after a while.

Parabol/Parabola should be next! It's meant to be listened to without a pause, though. So, it has to be the 9-10 minute audio only or the official music video. Talk about something completely different / amazing!

Maynard once wrestled a guy who jumped on stage while he was singing pushit. Wrapped the mic wire round his kneck and sat on top of him. All while he carried on singing. Footage is out there.

Brother, don't listen to those turds that complain about you pausing. Most people don't tune in to hear the song... I'd just go play it if that's what I was after. I watch these reaction videos of some of my favorite bands because it's nice to experience someone's first time. You do it your way, don't worry about the turds. If you need to pause to address something, by all means. Honestly, those are the moments when questions are asked or things are noticed that I can then come to the comments and engage with you and the rest of the audience. By the way, if you don't like something, don't be afraid to speak your mind on it. Don't censor yourself to please anyway. We'll respect you more for that. ;)

Most, if not all, Tool songs have really interesting lyrics, but this is one of the tops. It's about Maynard's disgust with the superficiality and ridiculousness of LA and his desire to see Mother Earth swallow it up with earthquakes and tidal waves!
My original cd copy of this album, thats long lost sadly, had a lenticular front cover and when u took the booklet out it had a pic of the USA inside and u slid it in the clear cover and angled it and one whole side of the USA disappeared
@marcharris8216 I still have that! It's actually only half of California that disappears, though. And on the liner notes booklet there's a disturbing picture. It's 4 guys on a couch in the background(the band I presume) and some kind of humanoid on the floor in the foreground and when you tilt it he appears to be fellating himself 😳

It's more about the TOOL Army assuming he is hooked and more content will automatically follow, but most don't understand that the youtube algorithm is heavily driven by comments - so the assumption = less comments asking/suggesting.

We are definitely wanting more Tool. Some of his best vocals in my opinion are ...Right in Two from the 10,000 Days album. Live videos to watch are....Sober and the drum cam video Pneuma which is an album you haven't heard yet. Keep making the videos.

Hey , it’s ok to pause, we’ve heard the song already, LOL It’s just fun to watch someone react for the first time to get back that feeling of listening to them in the 90s .. I’m going to catch them live in Vegas , I think it’s going to be my 15th time !! One of the best live shows you can ever see !! And I’ve seen almost everyone .. Do Parabol/Parabola next , make sure you do them together.. it’s a spiritual song about how bad ass we are ( Eternal) !!

Edit > I’ve seen them in concert probably 6 or 7 times the first was during Aenmia…. The last was when Fear Inoculum came out. They never fail to impress. I saw all Maynard’s side projects multiple times as well….. Puscifer and Perfect Circle. He’s amazing.
Another really popular Tool song is "Pneuma - Drum cam" from the Vic Firth channel.
And there's also "Right in Two" which usually attracts a crowd!
EDIT Oh and you're also missing "7empest" which is an epic 16min track.
And "Disposition - Reflection - Triad" which are called the Holy Trinity, 3 songs meant to be one basically.

I discovered Tool in 2022, and I became a massive fan, and I have never listened to heavy metal before, so I totally get how you feel about their music. It’s just real and powerful without stressing you out.

Haven't delved into this band much but I've always loved this one. That entire interlude is fantastic.
Tool have a lot of crossover appeal. They play metal festivals and often are called a metal band. They're just different. Metal is almost an umbrella of genres. But Tool are just Tool at the end of the day.

Pushit studio and then Pushit Live (Salival) back to back. They’re about 50% different songs and the live version is studio quality.
Thumbs up for more Tool. A caveat, though: grab a lyric vid when you can. Sometimes I can't make.out what Maynard is singing, and I'm not the only one, and the lyrics deserve to be understood.
I disagree, they distract from the music on the first listen.
The music of Tool alone is more than enough you have to grasp onto.
I recommend to people to spare the lyrics for later on or read them after or before, not during the listen.
This is my favorite Tool song. I saw em live a couple of years ago. It was mind blowing. They turned the lights on at the end and Maynor said “y’all have been good, let’s turn the lights on. Take some pictures’. The song they played for that was “Stinkfist”. F cali. 🤘

Your next Tool reaction should be one of my absolute favorites, "Parabol\Parabola". Parabol is an amazing intro to Parabola, which will melt your face off.
I would also suggest off the 10,000 days album track 7 "Lost Keys" followed by track 8 "Rosetta Stoned" just incredible! Also both Wings for Marie parts 1 and 2 on same album.
This album came out when I was 17 years old and this song has been my favorite song since the first time I heard it. It never gets old to me. Hearing it performed live has always given me chills. I truly hope I get to hear it again at the end of the month in Biloxi

Puscifer has one with actress Mia Jovovich called What Do You Know? Another great ambient one from Puscifer is Sour Grapes (Late For Dinner Mix). Oddly beautiful. And the Humbling River is outstanding and kinda perfect for the way things are in the world right now.
From A Perfect Circle there's their most known one Judith and one of my absolute faves is Brena. 3 Libras is solid, too.
This is the album that introduced me to Tool and this is my favorite song from it. Eulogy is another one from this album I love and Die Eir Von Satan which is a funny song if you know what it's about first.
Please consider Maynard's side project, A Perfect Circle. Their big hit was "Judith". The drum fills on that one are monstrous -- as is the rest of the song.
