Suren Kostanian he took it off because carbon fiber weighs much less than the OEM one. And it would be hard to close it because the shocks would want to keep it up. So you’d have to use extra force which could end up cracking/breaking the carbon fiber

You remove one of the struts because it's to much pressure for the carbon hood. With two struts you risk to breack the carbon when you close

I just got a carbon fiber hood for my car but I hear that i need pins to install. I seen how you install it and there's no pins by the grill. Do i need pins or not?
