Same here I have a bmw 330e 2017 with damaged headlights, I cannot find any aftermarket headlight that will go onto a 2017 330e- OEM lights are costing too much so I am looking for alternative any suggestions?
So I just bought a '17 330e and I have been slowly upgrading MMI, Screen, and Grill/Headlight aesthetics to match the "Elektroauto" theme for my plug in HEV F30. Yalls videos have been so encouraging and instructive. Literally would not feel the same about my first modded car without @KiesMotorsports. Huge ups to the whole team and your sponsored motorists. Please keep em coming!
Good video Brian , I remember doing mine on my f31 330d. The biggest issue is removing the torque screws from the bottom of the headlights. This was a pain in the ass , due to the poor design of the retaining nuts. The new lights are a lot better though, shame Depo didn't make them a full led set up.
Me and my father in law tried this without a lift. Doable but very hard and took us a few hours to get just one of the screws that holds the actual headlight in after you take down the wheel well liner. Ended up taking it to my local mechanic and had him do it in a few hours. He noted that it was a challenge but the results were definitely worth it. What halogens did you end up using as I notice the white ones included with the depo lights aren't too bright.
@@9991083 If you only spend 15 min on a project like that youre 100% gonna glare the living heck out of everyone in front of you. Halogen projectors and LED projectors are two completely different things.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Ok, my bottom two bolts on each headlights were almost impossible to remove. The stupid lock nut kept moving. Even when I used vise gripes, the stupid bolt kept moving. After lots of elbow grease was able to get three off but the fourth one even broke my vise grip. So I cut the stupid screw off. When I installed the new headlight assembly, I got rid of that stupid bolt setup and went back to the simple bolt and nut.
Let me share a 1+ year experience review on these: Good: - The look, totally worth the upgrade. Don't think twice if you're considering this one. - Much better visibility especially at night and in rain. - Value for the price. - No error codes or anything. Bad: - I decided to use morimoto 6000k xenon bulbs over provided h7 bulbs (you don't need the relay, but need amp igniter and connect to h7 port). H7 white bulbs have a tendency to go yellow over time. You can already see the yellow tint in the video. - To replace high beam bulbs, kinda need to remove the bumper to access. - Headlight height and position adjustment tabs are very flimsy, I need to keep on tweaking them here and there every few months. - I don't know why they left high beams without projector lens but anyway, high beams in my case lights up literally everywhere. I wouldn't want to be driving on the opposite side.
Thank you for posting this !! As I am getting ready to install. I had a question. Once the headlamp is installed. "How do you change the high beam bulb, and what you are saying is the conclusion that I came to. WOW, how painful. Now I have two questions, what light bulb should I install that will last the longest. Is there a way to make the headlight height position adjustment more fixed so that you are not needing to adjust so frequently?
I love how you guys had to "wing it" during the install because that's usually how custom installs work. My wife hates the beamer so I'll need someone else to help with the bumper. Lol, great video.
When adjusting the alignment nut (part #2080646) don't extend it too far out otherwise you could do the opposite of what Brian stated and your lights will be pointing too high and blind oncoming drivers and in addition you could fail your next car inspection.
Can u please tell me how to replace the passenger side low beam headlight.. I watched your vid but on my 320i 2017 I don’t feel no clip . I know how to access the bulb just can’t get it out
I have the same headlights. I moved to a 55w HID from the retrofit source. Only downside with this DEPO housing is... you have to remove the headlight to replace the high beam. They for some reason moved the access hole to the side from the top.
Would it be possible to drill an equivalent hole with a hole saw and plug the back with the piece you out by attaching it to a backer plate and sealing with headlight glue? I assume it’s either a clip or screw on which should be easily movable with some creativity
Sick video . Is there any chance you can make a video for coolant hose, water pump , thermostat refresh ? Can’t find any good guides for them. Also a good Valve cover gasket video would be sick as well! Always love the work Brian and team ! Y’all are probably the only reason my car is mint right now with all these preventive maintenance
This was conveniently uploaded when I'm seriously considering buying these Depo lights... Also, Brian every video you post you look more and more like Thor
I recently had some genuine led headlights retrofitted to my f30 but find that the beam faces down too much so visibility isnt the best. I came here looking for answers that I appear to have found with this adjustment bracket at 9:04. Would I be able to access these and be able to adjust by removing just the wheels and arch liners? Thanks for the video brother
I have a 2012 F30 pre LCI model with Halogen lamps. I'm looking to upgrade these to the new LCI LEDs and was wondering if I needed a wiring loom/converter for this upgrade or am I able to use the existing connector in my car? Any advise welcome, thanks.
Admirations for the channel! However important question - how do these DEPO perform at night? Are they better than the OEM halogen? I used them in the past - 15 years ago and they were worse than OEM halogen. How is the situation now? I am very tempted but the result keeps bugging me... An answer or even some photos will be much apreciated! Cheers!
I realise your comment is from 9 months ago but if you've not took the plunge it's totally worht it! The stock halogen lights on the f30 are simply put abysmal. I recently upgraded mine to Xenons and the difference is night and day. Definitely worth it.
Hey gents how are the light output performance at night on the road ? From my understanding projective headlights and LED do not put out a good output on the road, they look good but are really not that bright compared to a set of HID's in a projective headlight assy.
How long is the manufacture warranty on these things? I bought some a few years ago and was never able to adjust the height setting cause I guess it was derailed and couldn’t find any vids on how to manually get inside the actual unit and fix it like that
Hello, I have a 2015 328i Halogen model, mistakenly I ordered Xenon projector setup for my car with all HID bulbs, ballast. I would like to know if those will work on my Halogen model?
Just completed this job. Took me the whole day, but was able to get it done thanks to this video. Thank you guys!
Y’all need a 2016-2017 option
Check Bayoptiks
Facts I can’t find them anywhere.

Yup and factory ones are 1k each

BMW Jesus is killing it. New headlights look awesome.
Am I the only one in the comments that’s stoked/surprised it’s freaking Kerry Getz?

Way better look on the headlights... 🔥🔥. Like the intro and the shirt.. Kiesmotorsporst!!👍
If you want to protect your wheels even more, put a piece of shrinking plastic insulator on the bolt guide/hanger and heat it up
Legendary 🙏🏻
Please tell them to make some for the 2 series.

Hey Brian...a video on upgrading from the halogen bulbs to LED or HID on these lights....please.
Easy pull the halogen bulbs out. And put in the led. Do some google search. Easy project to do. Take like 15 mins

Depo light ! This is the 2nd or 3rd depo headlight video 🤣 kies is the best bimmer channel

remember to adjust them with a specialised measuring device
I'm loving the new logo Bryan! And LED headlights ona BMW is a must, if you don't have them, doesn't look like a BMW at all
Hey so I have a 2016 328i f30 would these fit on it? If not what’s the difference?
Following
Dude same
I would highly recommend the sylvania zevo bulbs with these. Extremely good forward focused light, fanless and easily available!
Do these fit on a 2016 328?????

Hey Brian, if I already have the xenon and one of them goes bad, can these be used as a direct replacement?
No
i think you can code it to work
How about about showing a video where the adaptive headlights are coded out with Inpa.
Are these discontinued because I don’t see them available anymore! 😢 just my luck cuz these are the best I’ve seen
When I’m about to order. Do I leave quantity at 1 or 2 😬😬 always gets me. Not sure if 1 counts as a pair or single
i’m trying to figure that out to bruh
1 quantity it counts as a pair
If it was only left or right (one light) you’d have to select if you wanted the left or the right, so it must be a pair :)
Very nice upgrade. And nice Kies logo too!
What is the total time to do this
The Legend... Mr Getz
Awesome, informative videos and awesome f30!
*F31
Can these go onto the lci late 2015 model
next make non budget friendly best headlights (custom ones) and then make f32-f82 body conversion (as close to original widebody as possible)
With regards to the original drl’s will removing the bulb and tying them out the way not throw a light on the dash

You guys revamped the logo and intro. I love it.
What the story behind the new logo?
What is the M3 style bumper he has in the car? It does not looks like GoodGo one

when will you guys have more in stock. I've looked at your website but says discontinued.
No errors on the bus with these headlights? Sometimes they show a light malfunction warning on the dash when LED lights are added
Should try to make a quick video of how to change the halo bulb on a stock f30 headlight 👀
Will the lights turn on when you unlock the car like the oem ones?
