@@FritzRamos So, install was simple and easy. I did the BIMMERCODE changes but something isn't right. When I unlock my car, the top yellow lights flicker and sometimes aren't on or randomly flash. When I turn the headlights on, everything works fine. Maybe it has to do with the side marker choices since there aren't anymore side markers? What do you think?
Question for you Fritz! For $1200 they are pretty expensive for aftermarket (still way cheaper from BMW, so happy to see that). My question is for $1200 how is the quality of the headlight itself (specifically the bulbs used, the housing, wiring, etc.). For that price, I don't want to buy something that has issues in 2 years with faulty manufacturing errors! Apologies for leaving a comment on the vid and not messaging you directly, you are the only review/install/really any marketing-related content I have seen for a new LCI LED upgrade for the F30! :)
The headlights have weather sealing and seem durable. I personally didn't have to code anything but it's nothing bimmer code can't fix. The LEDs lay on the magenta side of the green/magenta spectrum, but LEDs typically move towards green as they age so the light should get more white as time goes on. I can't speak to the long term durability as I have only used them for about 2 months but so far so good. They do also have a 1 year manufacture warranty. Hope that helps.
Awesome channel Fritz’s , I have a 2017 330 ix , halogen bulbs with non angel eye led park lights . The car is perfect except for the headlights . This video gave me the confidence to change the headlights myself .
You could put LED bulbs in there, the ones with high power voltage that give serious brightness, halogen is just the bulb type not the lamp housing itself, the LED head light from BMW is the same it only has LED as beams.
Hi Fritz, I am looking to upgrade the headlights on my 2014 F30. You posted the video about a year ago. I would appreciate any updates (or 1 year review) you provide on the quality of the product you installed in this video.

This is amazing, been looking for this as my F36 440i 2018 (bought second hand in 2020) came with 2 unusual things: 18 inch wheels, even the dealer where dumbstruck as to why, and non-LCI lights like this. It was an early demo and only owned by BMW South Africa. Got it for a steal with only 6000kms on the clock, but the lights and wheels bug me. So this is GOOOOOOOOD news.
Likewise. Bought a BMW 340i, literally has everything, including digital cluster, 360 camera system, heads up display, 19" rims, except for the LED headlights. Been looking how to get second hand OEM LCI LED's but there aren't any coverage of replacing the headlights with these. Think this is a good replacement without hassles.
I got the USR LCI headlights and the low and high beam patterns are dangerously bad driving at night. Idk if I got a bad housing or what I’m supposed to do to fix them. Looks nothing like yours does on the road
Just saw your video now. Great presentation and demo! I have the same car in Melbourne Red as well and it has the halogens. I'm considering my options for upgrading. I thought about just swapping out the bulbs for LEDs which would be the most cost effective but it won't have the angel eyes look. I like the body style of the F30 - has the more classic BMW look compared to the G20 generation. I have to say that the G20 definitely has the more modern technology esp with Android Auto, etc. i thought about trading up but i would lose a ton of money. What are your thoughts about the 2 generations?
@@FritzRamos Honestly, i kinda just want to get the Kies Motorsports Depo style halo ones. It comes with projector housing and led halo's already built in.
