15 years ago i bought a black G35 - used car with the hood clearly repainted and i did a full compound on the whole car and it looked amazing, but the hood still looked matt dull. In the rain it looked great with full deep jet black to match the rest of the car. I wish i would have tried just throwing on some clear coat on the hood, i know it would have done the trick because i believe they repainted the hood the black paint but did not clear coat it. Now i have a new car myself but my sister has a sun damaged paint car that i will work on improving with all the skills i have learned throughout the years. I'll record my progress and throw it on youtube. I hate to see a car neglected and I'll be happy to help my sister.
@@jorgeortiz7612 On my black vehicle the edges around the clear coat failure was white and jarring. This method basically fades it out and makes it look a bit more bearable, esp from far away.
My 22 year old car has paint that is horribly faded but when it is wet from rain it looks 80% better so I am going to try this. Thank you.

I like easy and cheap; especially when it "clearly" works. Thanks.

No need of sanding in 600,1500,2000 grit ?
Yes you do, that’s why he repeated MANY times it’s not profesional job
Does it matter what temperature is outside?
Yes, don't do it in too cold of temperatures
My dodge has the same issue especially on that big ass flat hood
How does it look when it drys?
Like new 😊
Yeah right…
This was the question I came to post. Would like to see a legit reply on this.
it will look ok for about few months . then that stuff fails .. doesnt hold up long
best to do it with a 2k clear .. 2 part system in can ..much stronger lasting
Tryin it. 👍🏽
Now fix that 1 meter giant rust hole at the rear of your truck 🤣
Right on !!
