@sweetbabysean did you match the blue factory to the van? Spray it first or did you spray the clear coat directly to it after you used the 2000 sand grit ??.
It looks pretty good, but for a little constructive criticism I would of done 1 layer of basecoat after sanding, then when applying the clear coat only apply 2 layers, with the first one being really thin and letting it dry for a few minutes to create a glue for the 2nd coat to stick to, and on the 2nd coat lay it down thick, the glue you create from the first coat will allow you to lay on a really thick coat without it running: also spray bottom up instead of top down to work against gravity. Then after 24 hours of drying you wet sand it with 5000 grit sandpaper, followed by compound, and polish. Wait 30 days for the paint to fully cure to the metal surface then apply wax for that showroom shine finish.
Hey I am an automotive painter. My advice would be to go slower with the clear coating sprays. You will achieve better results with only two coats. Because as you slow down the clear has more of a chance to build up as it’s laying down.

I have have a Previa, I live in it, and I live in Fl also. I wish we could chat sometime b/c you are familiar with this car and I just got mine a month ago.
Sure thing! Instagram is best @stealthvandweller
I have to set up an Instagram account, I will notify you as soon as I do that.
And thank you for your reply
Great Job. Will do the same for my Acura Roof and trunk that has clear coat fading
If you're married to this man he's a keeper he's loyal
Lol you know me too well
I am a professional painter and have spread lacquer many times nice work👍💪❤️
Totally following with your logic/rationalizing throughout this process lol.
Love it! Come do my car haha
Lol
Sure!
Just making sure Sweet Project Cars is on your radar. It's great
Hello, how has it held up over these last few months?
Pretty good! No visabke changes. I didn’t polish or wax so I’m assuming I probably should lol
Brilliant! I know polishing will make it shinier.
what is the long term on this fix though? hope someone helps me out , thanks in advance
There really isn’t one for $20 haha. But if you do this in the right conditions it will last a few years with wax
Do what he did but instead of spray use proffesional 2k clear coat and apply it with compressor...
Clear coat wont cost more than 50 bucks for whole car... Find someone who has compressor.
I love the Toyota Previa van is the best. have had a few Toyota vans 1984 was my 1st toyota van .
That came out awesome! Did it last?
It should, just not like a pro job.
Lasted so far!
Not bad! Careful with the sneaky chicken and wipers! ⚠️ not bad. Chris fix does something similar but but think he SANds in between and well a whole lot more work and more items. 😁. But this way is valid!
be careful with that acetone near light lenses folks it will permanently burn the plastic lens, tape em up
Great tip! Didn’t think about that! But luckily I didn’t poor much of it on the towel
Is there a better option to get the old adhesive off ?
