My most ambitious flying adventure yet! What is it like to fly for 24 hours across the world to Japan.. and back, in Japanese First & Business Class? Well today I’m going to find out, in the brand new All Nippon Airways (ANA) 777 First Class Suite on my outbound, and the ANA 787 Boeing Dreamliner in Business Class coming home.
As usual in my trip reports, I'll be walking through in detail, what it's like to fly these luxury products; the food, bed and overall experience. What better way to try it, in 24 hours back to back! Just to explain, this is one of my most ambitious trips of 2021, something I really wanted to share in its entirety. Bro your videos make me sososo happy!! This is such an epic one - you have such a unique standpoint. I haven’t heard anyone compare ANA’s business class to Emirates before - helps with our experience watching the video so much. Personally prefer the Emirates lavish decor over the ANA one - but that first class tho!! Hope to be back in the skies soon and look forward to your next vid!

The sheer chutzpah of a day trip London - Tokyo - Frankfurt and presumably back to London. Just brilliant - I tried to do a RTW last year, just for the heck of it... wasnt possible.. Well done TT - cant wait for the next 'mad' one

I did something very very similar back in 2000. I flew SJC-NRT-SJC just over and back on the same plane. Took about 21 hours if I remember. AA had just put the new 777 on this route and I just had to try it out!

Absolute madlad, I admire your resilience! Did you find doing it First then Business was the right way around or would you have preferred the comforts of first a bit more on the return leg next time you do something similar?
Thanks for watching, it was quite a crazy trip if i'm honest. I wanted to be as fresh as possible for the First segment to review it and experience as much of the product comfortably. On the way back, I slept quite a bit of it, so it suited perfectly. Next time, I hope Japan is open, as I really want to go back to one of my favourite countries + a layover in a bed!

@@Trektrendy A few years ago I flew 2 of my kids back from Australia to the UK, dropped them off with my wife and jumped back on a plane to Sydney...was the strangest feeling being back in Aus a couple of days after I got on a plane to the UK!

Amazing video again man, I’ve been able to start back traveling and love it. Most of my travel is in the USA, I find myself judging 1st class compared to flying overseas 1st class or business. Again great video.

Very nice review, but the 24 hour business isn't true as you know. The 19.00 flight from LHR-HND arrives at 15.50 in Tokyo. The flight from HND-FRA leaves at 00.50 and arrives at 05.20. This is more than 24 hours in my calculation.

Most people would say 'you're crazy' to do this trip. However unlike most people I'm an airline professional/AV geek & one year went to TYO 5 times for a long weekend (3 nights). To be fair my girlfriend was Japanese !!! Great video mate as usual 😎

I believe it said boarding group 4 on your boarding pass because ANA has shifted to boarding their airplanes back to front regardless of cabin class during covid. Who knows if that's really necessary anymore, especially given that all the flights into and out of Japan I've been on recently have never had more than a handful of people, but that was the reason I was given when I flew ANA F from Narita to Chicago last year.
They were boarding back to front, window to aisle first (no priority boarding). They recently reverted to regular boarding procedures for Japan domestic though.
I didn't know a crazy itinerary like this is even allowed..What a day mate!
It was quite an experience booking and getting accepted to board. I booked with VS miles and merged my tickets into one PNR (great agent on the phone did that). Then all hell broke loose at checkin, as they'd never seen anyone with this itin. A few phone-calls to headoffice, around an hour later and it was actually permissible as I'm bound by entry rules to Germany. Certainly a tiring trip though. Thanks for watching :)
@@Trektrendy That's insane and congrats everything worked out well in the end! I can't imagine a route from LHR to FRA through transit will show a crazy combo in search engine in the first place. I'm in Canada so I mostly use Aeroplan and Unitedplus. Which reward program did you book this with and what's the best value program in your opinion?

I wonder if they would have denied someone if they wanted to do it for the hell of it xD. I've done some odd itins for mileage runs back in the day, that usually worked as an excuse, some agents actually understood completely too.

The main reason why I love ANA is that they are the cleanest airline in the world. (also because they have my 2 favorite planes, the 777 and 787) Another excellent video, Hoping one day to visit Japan with my Mom( and to Africa with my Dad, and to Russia with my brother XD)
(I also one to see how Boeing does in 2020 and see how JetBlue does with their lounges in the middle of the summer)

@@alx25 13 seconds he says, "I'll be flying ANA's ten thousand dollar first class." He has an UK accent. They use GBP or Pounds Sterling so most likely he quoted in USD. If he had an Australian accent he'd be quoting in AUD Australian dollars. Canadian accent would quote in CAD. However, my information was incorrect as he didn't give a price for the return flight which was business class. So the entire trip would be more than 10k.
Lovely, but looks like an otherwise pricey extravaganza.... And honestly, flying F on Ana, and the J back (which is pretty awesome too) is hardly a difficult thing...
