As a kiwi hope you enjoy our county. I would tell you to come down to Hamilton but it is one of the most boring cities in NZ. Queenstown is a fun place to go.

Having the ability to have a shower on a long haul flight sounds amazing. Done long hauls to various places, the idea of a shower midflight sounds so refreshing.

I did Newark and Singapore (and the return) with Singapore Airlines in Premium Economy. 17 and 19 hours. Let’s just say I haven’t left the country since then.

Due to my circumstances, I'll never be able to travel much. i'm fine with that, but videos like yours let me live a grand life vicariously through you.

Great video! The most interesting aspect of the A380 bar was one of the easiest ways to socialize with fellow passengers. Everybody has the same two issues: a lot of time and no one to talk to. Even, if there are better first class seats in the competition, the bar and the shower would make me choosing for Emirates FC again.

As a struggling muso, it's a bit hard.......everyone seems to think music is just a right. I hope the RUclips, and the various websites who pimp music out are paying the creators, but if Itunes doesn't, why would they?

Nine hours of sleep is just insane. I remember flying from Houston to Paris (Air France) which is roughly 10 hours and I slept maybe three in economy. The food was definitely worth it. Great material with your video. It's everyone's dream to have at least one first class flight but damn is it expensive.
Right? I used to fly between IAH and CDG in AF biz-class quite frequently... rarely got more than 3 hours either. And even that required sedation from the inflight help-yourself bar - back then, the Cognac was still flowing when the Armanac ran out!
Welcome to NZ. Love your RUclips's. Seen almost all of them. Singapore is def, our favorite😂 as we had a superb flight from UK to Singapore and on to Christchurch NZ. I complemented the staff on amazing service and as a lovely gesture each and every on of them came to us and thanked us. Including the pilot .

Welcome to New Zealand mate im actually in 2 weeks leaving to go visit family in South Africa so my flight tends to be that long anyway but i do love it a-lot. 38 hours in total 17h to Dubai and 8 hours to johannesburg any way enjoy New Zealand 🇳🇿🐑

Agreed though unfortunately AirNZ only goes up to business class. We just don't have the number of flights and customers to offer a more Premium 1st Class product :( that being said their new Business class coming this year looks epic!
Air New Zealand hasn't been an amazing airline for more than 10 years now. If you can afford to fly with Emirates, particularly for that long period of time, stick with it.
I have actually flown this flight in economy, it was definitely tiring but very accommodating. The staff were very helpful and the flight itself was extremely comfortable!
Just curious do you get to keep the leather bound notepad and pen or is that a step too far?? Just asking because at £10000 a ticket you'd perhaps expect to keep it
A lounge bar on a first class flight is the best thing ever because on a plane no talks to each other or makes any kind of conversation usually it’s just awkward small talk but at a bar people can socialize for hours on end after all that’s how I met all my friends and girlfriend so in my opinion the first class bar is the best part

Emirates First is my fav way to fly. I love the entire experience.. Lounges, food, especially caviar, Dom, Hennessy Paradis, and especially the shower on board. It's also the best nights sleep in the sky. The Business Bar at the back of the A380 is also a great place to hang out. Also totally agree with how amazing Hello Fresh is, I would recommend it to anyone. We have it at home all the time and it's great value, great meals and quick to prepare.

Kia ora and welcome to Aotearoa New Zealand ❤️❤️ Very happy to know they reinstated the A380 route, I took it in Economy in 2019 and enjoyed it but during the pandemic/lockdowns it just had the 777ER with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur. It's one of the popular flights especially for us NZers flying to Europe. Hope you enjoy your time here ❤️❤️❤️ Ngā Mihi.
Although I've never done this route I'm privileged to have flown Emirates from UK to India in business many times on the upper deck of the A380. The lounges and onboard service are by far the best I've ever experienced. Luckily or (unluckily if you consider costs) for me my wife has always dreamt of visiting New Zealand but wants to save for us to travel on the upper deck given the travel time, so you video is really inspiring.
Would love to see a video of what you pack, including cameras and computers, and some thoughts on how you deal with jet lag, which is what discourages me from travel.
I'm based in Australia and I'm a frequent flyer. Yes, the journey time across the continent of Australia (east to west or vice-versa) is true "long-haul". North to South isn't quite so bad, although Tasmania to the very top of either Queensland or the Northern Territory or Western Australia would be pretty gruelling, too. Living in Australia, I've simply had to accept that my flying time to most places (in either Australia or abroad) will be long. It's hard to fly Economy Class anymore. For those painful distances, you need some leg-room and some creature comforts.
I've wondered "how does The Boy afford it?" on several occasions - but figure it's not really my business, and the end product is reviews from the perspective of passengers rather than airline guests. More power to his elbow, say I!

didn't realize that verve cliquot was an LVMH product. i'm definitely a verve girl, but i'd never turn my nose up at a glass of dommie-p. love your channel and reviews. you film these so well, i often feel like i'm part of your travel experience-much appreciated, since i'm disabled now and must experience life through other people. oh, and the caviar? ooooohhh yummmmm. i took the wine train in napa for my brother's wedding, and we ordered caviar and vodka, which was *amazing*. it all came in a bowl of ice so you could taste the coldness. the sharpness of the vodka coupled with the creamy, slightly salty quality of the caviar was divine

I did this flight 5 years ago, albeit in economy, and this video brought back some great memories of my trip. Although we went from LGW-DXB-AKL in 27 hours total which was a killer.

Emirates actually have a first class lounge in Concourse C as well. It is a bit smaller, but has more or less the same amenities and a cool water fountain near the entrance.
10k price, and you have to walk half an hour to the gate? Lufthansa drives you in a Mercedes across the tarmac if you book first class out of Frankfurt. Just saying... Also: Standing in line in the middle of hundreds of people? For 10k?

I did Heathrow to Perth Economy non stop with Qantas (17 hours) in 2018 - I would much prefer your way of travelling…
My family and I take the 12hr economy between LAX and Manila. 5 more hrs to the flight and I would lose my mind.
I could have easily done that when I was 20.

I have some serious health issues that make it impossible for me to travel and when i found your vlog I was so excited bc it made me feel like I was traveling to all these places as well. The tours of the trains or planes I find to be fascinating. A dream of mine is to take a train trip and stay in a sleeper car. Anyway thank you for making these video. They mean alot to me! didn't realize that verve cliquot was an LVMH product. i'm definitely a verve girl, but i'd never turn my nose up at a glass of dommie-p. love your channel and reviews. you film these so well, i often feel like i'm part of your travel experience-much appreciated, since i'm disabled now and must experience life through other people. oh, and the caviar? ooooohhh yummmmm. i took the wine train in napa for my brother's wedding, and we ordered caviar and vodka, which was *amazing*. it all came in a bowl of ice so you could taste the coldness. the sharpness of the vodka coupled with the creamy, slightly salty quality of the caviar was divine

Everything seems amazing.
I did this flight 5 years ago, albeit in economy, and this video brought back some great memories of my trip. Although we went from LGW-DXB-AKL in 27 hours total which was a killer.

Emirates actually have a first class lounge in Concourse C as well. It is a bit smaller, but has more or less the same amenities and a cool water fountain near the entrance.
