I'm in agreement with you... this is excellent value for what is included. The lounge and the onboard service are top notch!
If only the flight was an hour longer it would be perfect! The service in Emirates First is always excellent in my experience.
Very well presented.
Thanks - glad you enjoyed!
So nice to watch someone enjoying the full experience and ordering real food (not vegan like other reviewers). Keep it up Yann!
Glad you enjoyed the video!! Hahaha I'll be ordering the full menu every time, that won't be changing. Thanks for watching!
Awesome job 👍🏻 I recently got to fly Emirates' other fifth freedom route from Malta to Larnaca for my birthday (though sadly I was merely in Economy 😅) and it was such a fun experience in one of the comfiest Intra-European seats in the sky. Crews were phenomenal and so welcoming. 10/10 highly recommend it even if it's on their 777
I love flying wide-body aircraft on short-haul routes. I've done LHR-MAD on BA 777s and IB A350s a few times, good fun and can't beat the comfort on such short flights.
Larnaca to Malta is €1500 or £1200 one-way!
Excellent video! i would stay awake and enjoy the whole experience!
Thank you! Someone on my flight went straight to sleep and skipped the meal service!
Great flight. I’m happy to see that the second best value departs from my country. Hmmm 🤔 Might have to give it a go so I can live like Yann for a day. That lounge in Bangkok was stunning btw. Thanks for sharing your flight. ✈️
There's an Emirates lounge in Sydney too! 2hr30 of flight time so similar to my flight. Make sure you reserve your shower as soon as you get on - they won't have enough slots for everyone on such a short flight!
@@FlyManYannThanks for the tip. 😊
"That lounge in Bangkok was stunning" crikey, you're easily pleased! It's pleasant enough, but the Qatar lounge at BKK is better in every way except for the provision of power outlets. (FYI, I've been in both within the past week).
And this beautiful flower 🥰🌷
💐💐💐

Great watch.🙌
Thanks for watching 🙏
Wow....... its a good idea to experience emirates first class, definitely i will try it as soon as possible
Amazing, enjoy the flight! It's a lot to fit in 2 hours but a great experience regardless.
Yeah BKK has a long history with 5th freedom flights. There used to be many more, almost 20 years 😱back I had Finnair on BKK-HKG (MD-11) and Swiss on BKK-SIN (A340), very attractive ticket prices in Business
Had to look up the pictures of the Finnair MD-11!! Prices out of BKK are usually pretty great - can't wait to return.
Always happy to see your handsome face.... Nice review as always 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video - already working on the next one!
Keep it up mate! You'll have more subscribers than Trek Trendy one day, trust me!
Do you have any advice for a flight from Heathrow to san francisco then honolulu regards
Haha I loved how u downed the shot of vodka! I made a whole video on how airlines serve caviar and what’s the appropriate way to eat them ! 😃
Sublime
Emirates First is always a great experience
There's another Emirates fifth-freedom flight: Rio de Janeiro (GIG) to Buenos Aires (EZE) or vice versa, about the same distance and duration as BKK-HKG. But it's on a 777 (and usually on an older 777-200LR). So, no on-board bar, no showers, and probably an older seat.
Not one of those silly "I only paid 100$ for this" videos of people spending airline miles of hundreds of thousands of dollars already spent.
Those miles aren’t that hard to earn though
Yep exactly, I love the fact you can fly this cash only (without points) on pretty much any date for the same price.
Depending on what country you're from, airline miles can be super easy to fairly difficult to earn. Also depends on how much spend you can push through a card. US probably has it the best globally.
Belvedere is simply the best vodka, I agree.
Totally jealous of you. Bangkok, Hong Kong etc etc.
I can’t help but think however that Emirates are a bit overstated.
If I were 1st (and admittedly never have been ) I wouldn’t want the glitz..
Just the class.
Just me though. Great video as ever.
The older style cabins (like in this video) are definitely showing their age and tackiness a bit. I definitely think the new cabin refurb on the A380s in F makes the cabin look a lot classier - it's in line with the design language from the game changer first class suites.
You missed the Rio - Buenos Aires 5th Freedom Flight
Great video! Any tips on finding this flight and Insane price?
Go on the Emirates website then search for Bangkok (BKK) to Hong Kong (HKG) in First class and pretty much every date will have this price. Let me know if you end up booking it!
So as per you, if we want to travel first class in emirates do we need to book from Dubai via BKK to HKG at 600$. Or we simply book BKK to HKG for the price of 600$?Let me know.
...and off to google flights to find a flight to BKK we go!
Enjoy - Bangkok and Hong Kong are both great cities!
All of my trips on Emirates are NEW YORK to DUBAI on the A380. Business Class prices are ok but first class is astronomical. I fly Business class. Maybe someday they’ll offer me a reasonable upgrade, but for now: business class is more than enough.
I don’t feel the need for the extra meal service. Being able to use the shower in the plane would definitely be a fun experience but other than that, I don’t see the necessity of spending so much money.
The prices from the USA to DXB are some of the highest on their entire network, like you say, business is definitely good enough! Fingers crossed for the upgrade 🤞
Another way of looking at value is how much “per hour” it costs to fly. I’ll use Singapore airlines as my example. I fly the ewr to sin flight 2-3 times a year. It’s about 18 hours each way. I’ve been able to get business class seats for about 5-6k round trip. About $150/hr to fly. That’s decent value to me. I also like that this video you produced talks real money. I too… am sick and tired of RUclipsrs that say “I flew this flight for just $100 and 100,000 points!!! Like we all have an endless supply or amount of points in our accounts
Last August I flew on an Emirates 777 from Cebu to Dubai in first then onto New York in first on a 380 then returned from New York back to Cebu on a 380 then a 777. The 777 only has 8 first class cabins. Between Dubai and Cebu both times I was the only one in first. I was treated like a king on both flights. I paid $6500 round trip. I had saved for awhile to make it happen. As of now service from Cebu is back to the 2 class 777 (Business and Economy). Manila has a 777 with first. Bangkok to New York was a bit cheaper and you can have a 380 on both flights except for one. Do your research and you can make a dream come true. Good video.
Sounds like a great trip on nice long flights to fully enjoy the service. I've flown on the 777 in First once and I quite like having the smaller cabin. Although I still prefer the A380 any day of the week for the onboard bar and shower spa. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I found a better value would be $881 for a return first class ticket from Bangkok to Hongkong...you cant beat that ever
The fact that from first class lounge to landing Emirates are probably losing money on the catering alone (assuming the passenger has expensive champagne tastes like Yann) means this really is insane value. Well done on getting your money's worth 👍.
I shouted at the screen when you slugged that vodka shot back. Oh, to young again, and enjoy the inexperience of youth! While you're at it, you might want to learn how to shake a cocktail, that was pretty grim!
Now for some truth bombs on this flight: I just did this BKK-HKG-BKK back-to-back in F on 22 April.
It is good value, but 2 hours of flying time just will not give you the time to enjoy the full F experience in a full cabin.
If you've done the shower before, IMO there really is no point in doing it again, although I was proactively offered it on my return HKG-BKK segment. I'm aware of at least one person doing it on the outbound BKK-HKG. I didn't bother. It's a bit of a gimmick unless you have an unexpected tight connection: that's where it comes into its own.
In short, IME realistically you just cannot do shower, bar, and four course meal in 2 hours, unless you're just doing it for a few video clips, and not really savouring it.
On my outbound, things were hampered by a late incoming flight which consequently delayed boarding: it was a terrible boarding experience, penned in for some time at the gate at BKK waiting for the aircraft to be ready. This is my second time on this flight, the first time being about 8 years ago, when things were a little less manic. In an effort for a timely departure, pushback began with people still wondering about the cabin and washrooms, not helped with a fair degree of cabin tourism going on. The crew were just too busy to control it.
I managed to get as far as completing my first course, the caviar, before I was informed there wasn't enough time to make it any more than one further course, so, knowing I'd be coming back later, I quit my lunch altogether and headed to the bar for a badly made expresso martini. There's so little time that for the second half of the flight the bar area is already full of crew desperately trying to secure the cabin ready for landing, so it's not a particularly convivial place to be.
On my return segment HKG-BKK, things were a little less manic, thanks to on time departure and about 20 minutes more time scheduled in the air. I managed caviar, mezze and cheese as well as trip to the bar to shake my own espresso martini (and a much better one it was too as a result). The crew were again battling to secure the cabin though, so it really wasn't the best environment for an after dinner drink.
In conclusion, I don't remember these segments being so disorganised the first time I experienced them all those years ago, but I don't think it was a full cabin back then, and probably the influencer/Instagram brigade hadn't cottoned on either. The crew were great, and it is good value, but my caveat is that two hours is not enough time to genuinely enjoy it, it's very much a compromised experience. My highlights: the caviar courses, and no fewer than two, yes TWO, 2012 Corton-Charlemagnes to try with the cheese. Unexpected disappointment: the Arabic mezze course; in comparison, the Qatar business class mezze, while not as extensive, is far more tasty.
Great video just wish the cost information was also in £ 🇬🇧 currency.
Thanks for watching! I usually do prices in USD since it's the most "universal" currency that most people would understand easily. I paid for the flight in THB, it was about 21k or so. I think at the time it worked out to around £480.
@@FlyManYann no worries pal.. Thankyou for that and keep making these great videos 😀
Put "600 USD in pounds" in the search bar - don't even need to find a currency conversion website. I use Google constantly to convert.
What's his IG? I'd love to follow this handsome guy! Always great reviews - refreshing from the others...
Haven't set up the IG yet, I'll make sure to include links in an upcoming video once it's all sorted! And thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed :)
Try eating the caviar without all of the accoutrement.
Guess I need to book another first class flight now! I'll try it on the next one 🫡
@@FlyManYann 👍👍
It's Not a "secret route" 🥴
odd how some people will pay a lot for airlines ------ was an art director worked on BA virgin and american airlines over the years many clients worldwide .......... for many years some customers were ridiculously loyal to one airline /// by mid 90s and I was advertising them felt airlines were taking advantage somewhat ..... then around 2000 customers got more savvy and became incredibly unloyal .... put this down to internet ..... as the more unloyal you became on things such as loyalty schemes the more benefits you were sent .... mad ... was on virgins first flight to NY .... had double gin glass champagne and fell asleep missed a party apparently ..... hey ho ... RB was around .... never met him .... funny really yeah he advertises your airline zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If you want to make back your money have a couple glasses of Hennessey Paradis at US$1200 a bottle.
I've forgotten to do this every time I've flown Emirates First and always remember as I'm walking off the plane. One day I'll remember!!
Shallot not shallet 😂😂
Woops ahaha 🥴
It's not a secret... I have done it just over a year ago...
