I thought wow Glavine has aged, but then I looked in the mirror. Tom Glavine was a true professional. Those 90s Braves pitching staffs he anchored were some of the best in MLB History!!!! Thanks for some fantastic baseball and great memories!!!
So who else thought they were referring to Greg Maddux when they said Mad Dog ? That's why I'm here . I thought we would be interviewing Tom AND Greg .
on top of that, he was a notoriously slow-starter. I watched most of his starts w/Atlanta, and he would almost ALWAYS get in a bit of a jam in the first inning, until he navigated his way out of it. But once he could establish HIS outside corner, the game was over. He was also great at going away, away, away...away, away, away, and he'd bust a guy inside the 3rd or 4th trip thru the order. So smart, given his limited velocity and stuff.
Glad to see Maddawg stick to baseball. Lost ALL RESPECT FOR HIM STICKING HIS NOSE IN UGA football. He doesn't like the Braves, funny he is talking to Tom Glavine. Boo to you Russo
Completely agree, love Glav, as a Braves' fan since birth ('78) ya can't not love Glavine, but "Mad Dog" is just...hell idk it's like just him talking period bothers me. Your correct, he doesn't like the Braves, but that's okay, I've always been told once there's a group of people talking negatively about ya especially when it's obvious to anyone that your "the team" in the sport at the moment, well that just means we're doing something right. Haters are gonna hate...😂 Go Braves⚾🔥💯
Oh please. All the top seeds had a rough first series. A week layoff is brutal in baseball and historically has been awful for teams. Aside from that, if you're a Philly fan, I get why you stick to that series so hard, but if you don't acknowledge why it went the way it did, you can't be taken seriously. Strider just coming back after a month off, Fried sick as a dog with the flu leading into the series, E C, etc. Add to that the Phillies were hot and you get that end result. Congrats again, but if you wish for the Phils to play the Braves again this year in the playoffs, you're insane. 😂
10 games against three teams under .500 and 4 of those were against one of the worst teams in the league lol not earth shattering while the Braves have possibly the greatest offensive team of all time so yeah, they get more attention

Fried is the wild card. If he’s pitching like an ace come playoff time the Braves are going to be really tough to beat in a 7 game series
Fried’s gonna pitch like an ace if he’s healthy. It’s just if he’s healthy
Couldn't agree more. I don't trust our pitching come playoff time just yet. Very inconsistent second half
Don’t worry about a 7 game series. Lose in a 5 game series against the Phillies.
305 Wins.......enough said.
He was drafted in hockey too.
Thank you, captain, obvious! Everyone ATL knows that haha. Get woke!!

I'm gonna start ending every sentence with 'Gimme your thoughts on that for a sec, go ahead..' GO BRAVOS!!
Gooooooo Braves 🪓 ⚾ 🔥 🔥 🔥 💯
Bro 305 wins for a guy that rarely threw real strikes these days is an amazing number from a braves fan
The fact that he wasn't getting more wins till the 91 season, even says more.

Lol stay salty
No one is salty everything we say are facts he even admitted he got the call a lot and he was notorious for first inning trouble
Possibly the best baseball player to ever come out of Massachusetts.
This dude sounds like my grandmother screeching at me for not being home when the streetlights come on.
i have Glavine's Donruss Card '88 like 3 of them.
Legend
Bartolo Colon won nearly 60 games from 2014-18, it's possible for Verlander to get there
Fried’s fastball is in no way average at any point. 94-97 lefty fastball isn’t average
I was thinking the same thing… I’ve seen him hit 97..
Hit 98.4 in the World Series
No pitcher in our era currently will get 300 wins I’m sorry not scherzer not verlander def not degrom or that left handed ace in Los Angeles
Top notch job sabotaging Mets, never recovored

Mad dog is a joke..
Best Bayliss impression he could manage

@@Scootapuff88Right they get enough as it is
Tom glavin joins mad dog to talk about Tom glavin. Also the braves are doing good. Think the video title needs some editing.
