I had to be up at 5 30 in the morning. Not only did i watch the whole series, i stayed up to make sure i watched the final out. I literally cried with my dad.
Alex Anthopolous is the greatest thing to happen to the Braves franchise since the old days of John Schuerholz turning around the franchise in the early 90s to go on to win 14 straight NL East titles (still a record among major sports leagues in America that probably won't be beat again).
He's doing what they paid him to do! The moves He's made are smart moves... I think we can see at LEAST 2 WS championships again from the club. Hopefully I don't ruffle any feathers..
2021 was a magical season for the Braves. They were under .500 at the trade deadline and got really hot at the right time. Joc Pederson, Eddie Rosario and Jorge Soler definitely changed that team and gave them the spark that was needed. When they lost Acuna Jr I thought they were done for. I was very wrong..
Since 1991 I believe the Braves have won their division like 75% of the time. Alex Anthopolis has been great but the entire Atlanta Braves organization even through a change in ownership has built a model of success for sure.
I had to look this up now cause you made me curious, so according to wiki they won the east 1995-2005, 2013, and 2018-2022, 17 total and most in the division

DH Marcell Ozuna 6. C Sean Murphy 7. LF Eddie Rosario 8. SS Orlando Arcia 9. CF Michael Harris definitely the best lineup for years to come
Worth mentioning that all this is possible because of the farm system Copellela made as well as Dana brown, now working for the Astros. They both had insane drafts and are gone, we will have to see what happens. In this situation the Braves have essentially depleted their farm system, so these contracts to young players are also bets in some way as we don’t have much left in the tank for trades later on or bringing in for injury
Definitely true about the farm that was in place. I'm not aware of Atlanta's current farm, do they not have any prospects right now to get really excited about?
You are right about that, but don't forget that the braves have their team locked up for the next 10 years so they have time to rebuild their minor league system. They must think they are okay if they just let dansby Swanson walk, and Freddie Freeman the year before. The braves have proven you don't need megastars to win the world series . Look at the dodgers in the Mets. The braves will be just fine
@@SmartrBaseball No, Atlanta farm is really bad now. Theyre in the bottom 5 of the league. The main guy to watch is Shewmake at SS. He could take that position and then Grissom could play LF.

I also love the 2021 trade deadline because we gave up Pablo Sandoval for Eddie Rosario and we also got cash when he came over. We also gave up a failed catching prospect for Duvall. A lot of people complaining over the use of dynasty but I don't get the reasons, mainly one ws. I agree it's too early for the braves to claim it until we prove sustainability but by this logic, both the dodgers and 90s braves are equally not dynasties
The braves have front office commitment to win and willingness to spend money on the right players. Great fan support and the players enjoy the area and organization. I’m from the ATL and love the NYC area but forget the teams up there. Gotta give you credit though because at least you know Freddie overplayed his hand in negotiations.
I understand hating the Braves but the only reason you hate the south is because you have never spent significant time there, I was born and raised in New Jersey but have lived in the south the last 15 years and I wouldn't move anywhere else. People are just nicer down here, the cost of living is significantly cheaper and I get to keep far more of my paycheck than in New Jersey plus winter is easy down here.
This aged very well because it has been four months, and the 2023 Braves have dominated in the 1st half. Padres and Mets aren't the competition for this season.
It only takes one title to be considered a dynasty these days? Seemed like only a decade ago when people weren't willing to call the Giants a dynasty after 3 titles in 5 years.
I like the enthusiasm, but it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to a Dynasty (srsly, 1 WS is not a dynasty in anyone's definition). If they can win 2 more WS in next 4 years, then we have a dynasty
Saying the Sean Murphy deal was just for shits and giggles kind of under plays how smart of a move it was. AA knew with the new rules even more emphasis would be put on catcher defense. So he went out and got one of if not the best defense catchers in the league. Contreras was never going to be the catcher of the future. I think this will be the biggest move of the offseason for all of baseball. Real big brain move. Not just a because they can move like you have made it out to be.
People have become so loose with the term "Dynasty" when it comes to baseball in the last decade or so, so much so that I am convinced claims/videos like these are meant to jynx the team in question. I was always told to qualify as a dynasty you need sequential wins in back to back seasons at least at some point during your "reign" otherwise its just you win, you lose, you win. I genuinely hope this doesn't ruin the Braves amazing season but they need to win at least another championship this year if we want to seriously start tossing the word Dynasty around.I mean just look at the Cubs Dynasty, the Astericks, the Red Sox, (I really don't think anyone though the Nationals had a Dynasty going)the Dodgers. All only have a single legitimate title but all were touted as dynasties. Shoot I'm a Dodgers fan and I would not even begin to call their sustained success a Dynasty without a second championship period let alone in back to back seasons. My point is, be patient.
@maxreiter2826 5 straight division titles and a WS... Atlanta is pretty damn close to being a dynasty as is... but in a few years when they have another World Series banner, or two. It'll be cemented as basic fact
All the Braves have to do to win the world series is, the season before has to be short/half. '94 strike, '95 we win the world series, and history repeats it self.
You can’t be a dynasty with 2 years of success. They could be in a dynasty, but you can’t be called one until after you’ve had at least 5 years of success
If I was the owner of the Braves, I’d flip off the MLB Commissioner when receiving the Commissioner’s Trophy for screwing Atlanta out of a All Star Game.
Everyone wants to use war to talk about how great a player is. If war is the be all end all stat why isnt this stat used when talking about the world series mvp? Also whats a 0 war players stats?
John Coppolella not only screwed future players, but he also killed veterans’ careers, i.e. Andruw Jones. they didn’t see it coming & had to leave ATL to play for another organization in a bad headspace. Coppo sucks & deserves his fate. he was hated in the office & locker room alike.

As someone from the south I hate anything from the north especially New York ( most arrogant liberal pricks!) however I respect the Mets, should be another fun competitive year, chop on!
😂😂😂
I’m from the ATL and love the NYC area but forget the teams up there. Gotta give you credit though because at least you know Freddie overplayed his hand in negotiations.
I understand hating the Braves but the only reason you hate the south is because you have never spent significant time there, I was born and raised in New Jersey but have lived in the south the last 15 years and I wouldn't move anywhere else. People are just nicer down here, the cost of living is significantly cheaper and I get to keep far more of my paycheck than in New Jersey plus winter is easy down here.
Say what you want about the south. Nobody retires and moves north.
Extending Acuna and Albies early in their careers for pennies on the dollar was unbelievable work.
not pennie’s…. well pennie’s for Acuña Jr. , not even pennie’s for albies
A dynasty requires more than one championship, you could say perennial playoff contenders but not a dynasty.
2021 ozunas injury is the reason the braves won the ws that year everyone stepped up afterwards along with the new outfield
Great video bro
This aged very well because it has been four months, and the 2023 Braves have dominated in the 1st half. Padres and Mets aren't the competition for this season.
It only takes one title to be considered a dynasty these days? Seemed like only a decade ago when people weren't willing to call the Giants a dynasty after 3 titles in 5 years.
Should be a good 7 to 10 years for the Braves. And they get to do it in a great ballpark too.
I like the enthusiasm, but it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to a Dynasty (srsly, 1 WS is not a dynasty in anyone's definition). If they can win 2 more WS in next 4 years, then we have a dynasty
What Dinasty!!!! Two more chips C'mon dude . Dinasty????
Saying the Sean Murphy deal was just for shits and giggles kind of under plays how smart of a move it was. AA knew with the new rules even more emphasis would be put on catcher defense. So he went out and got one of if not the best defense catchers in the league. Contreras was never going to be the catcher of the future. I think this will be the biggest move of the offseason for all of baseball. Real big brain move. Not just a because they can move like you have made it out to be.
The next time this post cross my feed Grissom will probably be in the AL central
What was Ozuna’s season ending “injury” again? 😂😂
Just a heads up that Spencer Strider wasn’t a part of the 2021 World Series. 22 was his first full year.
He was on the roster he pitched two games in October of 2021
Ron Washington did something special with these young players. When you see how much extra work he puts in. He couldnt do that as the Manager
My favorite part of this video is that our all star ss isn't even mentioned.
The problem 60 wins / 29 loses…
A dynasty? They have one title, and no other post season success. This is a huge stretch mate
great video, with one question. is there a particular reason you're pronounding the end d in d'Arnaud? it's dar-no.
There's a very simple reason... I'm an idiot
we gotta stop handing out the word dynasty to everyone, yes they have a good, young, core. One world series win/appearance is NOT a dynasty.
@maxreiter2826 5 straight division titles and a WS... Atlanta is pretty damn close to being a dynasty as is... but in a few years when they have another World Series banner, or two. It'll be cemented as basic fact
@@fullcircle8231 You cant have a dynasty with one world series appearance, whether it was a win or not thats just not what the word dynasty means
Great video! It’s Dar-no though!
Travis "Dar-nod" 😂😂
Josh Donaldson getting no mentions throughout the video is crazy
As a Braves fan, some of these contracts need raises.
One ring is a dynasty now lmao
All the Braves have to do to win the world series is, the season before has to be short/half. '94 strike, '95 we win the world series, and history repeats it self.
You can’t be a dynasty with 2 years of success. They could be in a dynasty, but you can’t be called one until after you’ve had at least 5 years of success
They ain’t no dynasty, they’re always decent but only won 2 championships. Kinda nuts for being the oldest team in the league
Since we're using the term Oldest team in the league, make it 4 titles.
What does wrt+ mean and why is it important?
I love Grissom but Orlando doing something special at SS
A dynasty? They’ve one won WS so far.😂 I guess the recent Dodgers are one too.
6 Divvies + 1 WS is a good start for a dynasty, emphasis on nasty
So all it takes to become a dynasty is winning 1 world series?
1 is more than 0
@@nathan1678 Congrats to the Marlins Dynasty that started in 2003!!
@@JOfnT you think 2003 is a while, the Mets have a dynasty going since 1986
Need to update this
If I was the owner of the Braves, I’d flip off the MLB Commissioner when receiving the Commissioner’s Trophy for screwing Atlanta out of a All Star Game.
Alex Anthopoulos saved this organization
Start using real stats not the fake analytics stats batting average hits hr andd other traditional stats are only ones that count
Everyone wants to use war to talk about how great a player is. If war is the be all end all stat why isnt this stat used when talking about the world series mvp? Also whats a 0 war players stats?
Yeah, you’re missing the definition of dynasty pretty heavily here…
I love Alex
I’d hardly call one World Series a Dynasty
Alex A. is the reason the Braves are best team in baseball. End of story
Let’s go Bravos! Now just DFA Ozuna, and bring back Duvall 🤣
Great vid but ozuna did NOT have an injury that ended his season lolll
Travis (dar-no) don’t have to pronounce the d on the end
In AA we trust
Astros are the dynasty now!!!
The braves are a long way from a dynasty. IMO 3 championships in 4 years is the minimum requirement to be a true dynasty.
Go Bravos!!!
Go Braves!
Winning 14 straight divisions but winning one World Series is not a dynasty
him pronouncing d'Arnaud, "darnod" LOL.
What is a Darnodd?
Using stats like FIB and WRC+ like we know how much those matter😂
Just use normal stats with BA, OPS, etc
Travis darNOD baby 🔥
Once the braves win again, id say were a dynasty. Also, kyle wright shovdlve won Cy young
😂 bro you went there 😂😂
