I live the idea of the rush monsters, it's such a fun concept. Imagine goblin attack force turned into firefighters, policemen, lawyers, salarymen etc.
@@otaking3582 false. they are an extremely fun concept that takes elements of the game and spins them in a different direction. Cutting out needlessly long effect text for SS’ing conditions in favor of just simple trigger or continuous effects and letting you summon infinitely inherently. What we get is a card game pretty devoid of power creep, allowing people to have more options.
@@caswellweird No, it's just another pointless gimmick meant to dumb down the game for mobile phones, while also forcing players to buy a completely new set of cards *AGAIN*
I like how in the rush duels, Dian Keto pretty much gets her life story told. Because each card seems to be younger than the last. So, it seems she started as a Warden, but then lost her job when the witches escaped. So then she became a chef which led her to becoming a disco queen by night. All of those years of cooking and dancing showed her that life is better caring for people and making them happy rather than ruling with fear like when she was a warden. So once she's an old lady, she just gives everyone 1000 hp back by letting them just...relax.
I wish there were some supplementary material for the cards. The closest comparison to what I want is League of Legends weirdly, where the champions all have a block of lore text and usually also a couple short stories about them. Imagine if Yugioh archetypes got short stories telling their lore, it would be so cool
Another thing about the burial cards is that the barren ground is reddish purple, like the trap card background, while the grassy field is green, like the spell card background.
The thing with Cold Wave(and probably some other banned cards that I can’t think of right now) is that it got _stronger_ as the game got faster. In Unga Bunga times, going a turn without spell/traps wasn’t the worst thing in the world. It hurt for sure, but it usually didn’t immediately result in a game end. Meanwhile, for example, Raigeki could undo many turns worth of summoning in one go. In modern Yugioh, it’s flipped. Everyone and their mom can paste 19 or so boss monsters on the field per phase, so Raigeki became obsolete. But because of that, each turn’s importance becomes magnified. So Cold Wave, limited by only its effect duration, affects more of the duel than it did back then. As a result, while Raigeki and Harpie’s Feather Duster became unbanned over time, Cold Wave became more oppressive over time, and probably won’t leave the banlist until a potential massive overhaul in the game’s mechanic. This is probably already known by most people in this comment section, but I felt like explaining for anyone who doesn’t get it.
The weird part about the bubble era/prison/kitchen cards is they were all used by the same character who was the only adult(She still looked like a child but...), who was also as far as I know the only recurring cast member in sevens to be played by an actual child.

So here's a fun fact. The "Bubble Era" cards are in fact referencing japan during their economic bubble in the 80's. This is evident in the cards "Bubbly Elf" and "Dian Keito the Boogie Master" weilding fans while on the dance floor and "Lady of Pumps" wearing a body-con dress (body concious) which were all fads during that time. As well as the mirror ball referencing disco which was also the fad in 80's japan. I use finite cards in a bounce deck on Duel Links. It contains cards like Penguin Soldier. Nightmare Penguin, Nopenguin, Abyss solier and other bounce cards. With the smaller deck and field size this acts as a stun/stall deck. Finite cards helps keep their hand small so I don't hurt as much if they try to stop my Nopepenguin from comboing. Controlling their field and hand size until I can smash them with the higher attack cards like Nopenguin or Abyss Soldier buffer through Nightmare Penguin or XYZ monsters is the main strategy. I originally created it just to be fun but found it can be surprisingly successful! People get caught off guard and underestimate how frustratingly disruptive it can be to agressive deck strategies. The use of Finite cards seems pointless considering Nopenguin Banoshes the bounced cards anyway, but it prevents my opponent from saving cards in their hand for a big one turn combo. If they can keep stuff off the field then lay down everything at once to get over my defences, they have a shot. If their max hand is 3 cards at the end of the turn however, it prevents them from saving just that right combo and helps my weak little bouncers stay safe.

No see it's appropriate for second coin toss because in upstart goblin goblin of greed is tossing the beggar some coins but second coin toss is goblin of greed getting tossed some coins so it's a second coin toss. See what I mean?
u inspried me to build a toon deck
Was not expecting the Legends of Tomorrow reference from Judgment Meter but definitely appreciated it more people should talk about legends of Tomorrow
I think the monsters in weed out are actually getting sucked into the hole
Jokes on you
I love Legends of Tomorrow
I guess this wasn't made with Go Rush in Mind, since there are more parody monsters there
Dian Keto (again) but a child. Her deck consists of older monsters but as a child, like Nuvia the Wicked.
Bean Soldier -> Bean Sol-Jersey, Cannon Soldier -> Cannon Sol-Jersey, and so on
3:40 ah yes the infamous revival jam loop the not legal loop :)
I spot 2 easter eggs/callbacks from other videos that are here
Mrtoptenlist: stop in the name of love be4 u break my heart. Reference to mrtoptenlist pokemon yellow or something list back in 2013
Judgment meter: why would they do that to a panda. Reference to the top ten weirdest fusion monster part 1 and 2
i love your vids!! greetings from the Philippines
Finite Cards is great for Infernity decks to force your opponent discarded some cards until 3
lmao. I find it funny how everyone automatically assumes that just because a card discards, it becomes useful for Infernity decks. But Finite Cards is like a janky way to rip your opponents cards from their hand. But it is slow.
25:11 That's the warrior-type logo from the old Yugioh video games.
I wonder if foolish burial was a parody card at first to premature burial but became broken as the game state progressed
Foolish Burial hasn't crossed that territory but the fact it's an inherent -1 and Limited and only getting better as time goes on says a lot. Premature Burial became stupidly broken with Hidden Armory and Brionac (which to be fair was absurdly broken pre-errata).
It's not a parody card at all
My favorite parody cards are the rush duel baseball series, a series that parodies the Onomatopoeia deck used by Yuma in Zexal. There are so many details and references that it is impossible not to appreciate them.
Well no, they aren't. Because that's not what a parody is lol. You mean joke cards
fried wants din din is so funny
Red eyes metal dragon "am i a garnet to you??"
So glad you used "1st turn kill" bcuz there's no such thing as an zero turn kill... Zero implies no game was played & they had to use their turn to play
@@ShiningJudgment666 yes in the 1st turn & within that turn you'd have to play exodia ... 1st turn kill.... U may delete ur comment to save yourself embarrassment
Toon monsters just one big parody of cards that are super fun to use in a good toon deck,
Well no, they aren't parody cards at all because they aren't parodies. I mean maybe the rabbit is referencing bugs Bunny but that's as close as it gets. Sounds like you need to go back to grade school English class lol
Imagine having 4 pieces of Exodia, 2 Upstarts, and a Cup of Ace in your hand and you activate Forceful Sentry just to flex your hand and get a quick scoop lol
27:25 Judging by his reaction, he's also going to fall apart upon impact because he's not sturdy enough to survive terminal velocity.
I noticed Toon Dark Magician Girl wasn't mentioned.
Legends of tomorrow was a great show.
24:18 Goblin Marauding Squad is more like Goblin Ancient Gear Squad but are beast-waririors instead of machines.
they couldnt have named it United ResistANTS?
9:38 I understood that reference. In one episode a magic pen brought a three-boobed fantasy creature to life and he uses a female pseudonym "Rebecca Silver" because he feels embarrassed by the fact he writes romance novels, Clotho, the former spinner of the Loom of Fates, going by the alias of "Charlie" stood in for him at Romanti-Con 2019 and former delivery girl turned kaupe Moana Wu took over the pseudonym of Rebeca Silver after Mick "Heatwave" Rory retired from writing after the Arrowverse version of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
