There were already tons of possibilities with Animation Nodes. Combining it with Sverchok is just insane now haha

To those finding this video, Blue Fox Creation has uploaded to his Github a modified Animation Nodes that includes his additions that makes this all possible.

you can hit ctrl+Enter in TextEditor to reload a ScriptNode script, you don't have to press the reload button on the Node's ui.

hello, I have seen your channel from creating c4d content to blender, whats the reason behind your switch? I have been learning Blender for awhile and really wanted to create motion design content, that also made me wanted to switch to c4d. Is that necessary? Or should I go straight to Houdini If i ever need any simulation like particles?

Reason? What would be the reason not to switch to blender? Cinema is pricey + to make any kind of particle simulations extra $, most of the addons which somtimes you will use once or twice -> extra $, freaking render engine -> extra $ blender is better with modeling, more gesture friendly, so when you know it it makes you faster, better sculpting, and now slowly everything nodes, along with animation nodes and sverchock it's really capable of a lot, and you don't pay for render engine extra, particle system is by default, tone of free add-ons (or dirt cheap) if you need something that isn't native in blender, and tone of free materials. Unless you animating smart particles every day, blender is just good enough, and will be better because now it grows fast that there are weakly summaries so people could even keep track of all new features.

I'm getting a very different looking Inset Special node in my Sverchok with more input/outputs, and it's giving me an error "the truth value of an array with more than one element is ambiguous. use a.any() or a.all()

I never quite understand, now with AN massive capabilities, why do we still need Sverchock? Not all of SV's nodes are working, because it always late catching up to Blender's latest version. And its very basic featureless nodes, with those striking primary colors, make it feels even more ancient!

Sverchok is considerably more powerful than AN when it comes to geometry generation / generative form finding etc. The two addons have some overlap and they both use nodes but they're very much their own tools with different uses

Featureless? AN is nowhere near Sverchok's modelling capability. For procedural modeling sverchok is way better. It does have some performance and UI issues, but in recent releases they are good.

@@Erindale thank you for your elaborations. So far I can achieve my goals just by using AN. More often, SV's many 'bugs' (could it be because I'm using OS X?) always discouraged me to learn it further. Maybe one day I'll give SV another try if I find an inspiring tutorial about it.

@@bluefoxcreation I'm not sure how to precisely explain it to you.. But from a non-programmer/non-scientist point of view, AN is very interesting, exciting to explore though sometimes very challenging, and so far I still discover more and more hidden functions/combination of nodes to try on. Also there are many tutorials with awesome and visually beautiful results, including from you. While in SV.. well I'm sorry to say that with its issues and so few tutorials showing inspiring results, I find it far less interesting. TBH because of the issues, my experience in using SV is of course very limited, one of which was following through your sphere dance tutorial, that partly had to be done with AN..! *FYI.. my result wasn't the same as yours.. because one of the step in SV couldn't be done, and I ended up using AN to correct it. Again: is it because I use OS X?

i love how people can just dismiss a free, bleeding edge technology because there aren't enough people making it easier to understand...
"you know, i'd love to get more into nuclear physics but until someone dumbs it down enough for me, i'll pass, thanks!" so rife in the game dev/cg community...
