then how can you say that Obituary's riffs are unique & original? they are nothing else but plain recycle of trademark riffage from Celtic Frost / Hellhammer cult records. and the so-called "death metal" that Obituary perform is obviously just a brutalized version of CF too.
Seen these guys back in '93 with Monster Magnet and Fear Factory opening up for them. Was blown away at how good they sounded live. So unique and powerful.

This the best Obituary song in many albums. Fantastic Peres main riff sounding like something from Cause Of Death or World Demise era. The key is they have a technical lead player. The first since James Murphy. To be fair West on that guttural debut was perfect that amazing first album always will be a classic. He has stood in the shadow of Murphy since COD. iI love The End Complete and World Demise don't get me wrong. But they lost something. Lets all hope the album delivers. John Is sounding awesome as well. Cheers to all Obi fans.
While I prefer Sentence Day, I love this track. The mix is their best since World Demise and dammit...this album is just going to be incredible. The sound...the riffs...SOOOOOOO worthy of a self-titled album!
