"Propelled by the inhuman vocals of John Tardy, the obscenely brutal guitar tone of Trevor Peres and rhythmic brilliance of drummer Donald Tardy, Obituary redefined heaviness throughout the 1990s. From undisputed classics Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death, through an unexpected hiatus to their current creative renaissance, Obituary have pioneered, defined and expanded extreme metal, becoming one of the underground’s most recognized and respected acts." - Decibel Magazine
Obituary is a band that doesn't try and reinvent the wheel... killer groove, double bass, solid riff and brutal vocals. Always a solid record.
This song makes me want to go outside, find my neighbors and offer to walk their dog
They got their own signature tone, you know it's Obituary before the vocals start
Saw them play this song in Tampa a few weeks ago. They killed it. Been a fan for 30+ years and finally saw them live. Not disappointed and now my adult daughter is a fan!
Sorry other bands, but this one is definitely the best album of the year
John's vocals have always been one of a kind. So many death metal vocalists try to sound demonic that, to be honest, gets boring at times. But what I like about Obituary is the vocals sound like if a horror movie was a singing style. Brutal, heavy, scary, without sounding cheesy. Obituary was probably the first death metal band I got into in the 90s and I'm glad to see they've stood the test of time and outlasted so many others from that era. Great song.
Ha!!! My husband & I saw them in concert… I was so unimpressed that I fell asleep. He still can’t understand how I slept through them. When you are unimpressed & bored … you sleep. 🤷🏻♀️🤣😂🤣
Obituary proves they are still one of the BEST classic death metal bands. A timeless group.
Been a long long long time fan of these guys. Even before they were Obituary. Now, 51 and to this day they haven’t disappointed me. Cannot wait to hear the whole thing! 🤟
slowly we jammin’
That riff is infectiously catchy. And the signature undeniable groove of Obituary is ever present. Fucking incredible!
Да, вокал Тарди ни с кем не перепутаешь! Словно окунулся в 90-е...
Obituary have proven time after time that they are one of the pillars of true Death Metal!! They groove like no other band in the genre. My total admiration and respect always!
"The Wrong Time"
Obituary still coming out with killer riffs & vocals after all these years! Great track🔥
33 years passed away since heard them first time and they still can impress me!
The band that blew my mind back in 1994 and introduced me to a taste for death metal. 28 years later and it's still blowing my mind! Incredible sound and production and awesome song!! Thanks guys !!
Sounds excellent! J. Tardy is still, after years, the most significant vocalist in DM
Man, obituary never lost that sound of being kids in the garage while always being a cut above the rest in terms of raw groove. John's vocals just give them that much more of something distinct and undeniable.
