Don't get me started on North Korea, the only country still reminiscent of communism and where 45% of people are starving. Yeah me too, my grandparents looked after me whilst my parents went through a divorce that was so toxic it made Cheynoval look like a paradise, I was 37 when my grandfather passed, that was when my life stopped , I lost my world my onlyvbest friend my mentor but most importantly he was my hero. I'm 48 and I still cry like a baby when talking about him, I'd do anything for just 5 mins

I was 301 pounds and I lost 101 by fasting and a less than a year 😊 it hard but you can do it

Wait a second - he just lost 56 pounds in 2 months, and now he's ready for surgery?? But can't he like, you know, with his new found diet knowledge and all, go ahead and lose another 56 pounds in the next 2 months, and continue on, until he actually loses the weight without the operation??
Yes , he can. Many of us with lots of weight to lose have done that. And then inevitably we hit a snag of some kind. We go on vacation, fall off the wagon and can't get back on. We lose motivation. We get sick or having an injury. And the weight comes back on, having surgery gives you that extra tool that helps you make it through the hard times and makes the weight come off more quickly. Speaking from experience… Having lost huge amounts of weight and then regaining it, over and over… Surgery is what finally helped me. Take it all off and keep it off. Down 160 pounds, and at a normal weight for my height.

Kudos to you for your sobriety. Yes, a person can stop drinking or using entirely, and stay away from the people, places and occasions that endanger their sobriety. But you cant stop eating entirely and its impossible to avoid all food triggers. Food sobriety is much more difficult.

I had gastric sleeve surgery November of 2023 and I’m down 140 lbs so far but certainly it’s not a quick fix. You must commit to the process before and after surgery

I agree 👍. I'm a diabetic also. I have less than 150$$ per month for food. I use lots of rice and dry beans and split peas. And ramen noodles. It's hard to afford produce.

i've once read a sentence along the lines of if you wanna help someone with addiction you need to change the environment they got addicted in first. like a lot of addictions come from wanting to escape your miserable life and you'll fall back into addiction easier if nothing in your life changes.
People underestimate how much external influence is changing our behaviour. Just brushing it off with "you should have enough will to not let environment change you" is pretty blind and short minded.

So many Americans are actually overweight and don't realize it cause they don't look it. I'm 5'11 and 195lbs, about 10lbs more than I'm supposed to be for my height.
Its more important to look at BMI no just your weight. You can be "overweight" but have a very healthy BMI.

at 5:26 mins, notice all of the skin tags around his neck… that is a sure sign of high blood sugar. cut the carbs (sugar, breads, pasta, and yes, potato chips) and those will go away.
Skin tags are not caused by high blood sugar. There are many reasons for the development of skin tags.

I wonder what the fattest most unhealthy potatoe chips are. This young person should also watch sugar intake with pop and juice, watch out! I am bit chubby too just over 200lbs and I have type 2 diabetes; I had to make some lifestyle changes cause the high blood pressure and sugar is dangerous. I now have macular edema (swelling behind the retina) but now on anti-VEGF treatment. I regret I drank like 2L Cokes per day, that alone is like 220g sugar, was so foolish when I was younger. I strongly suggest heed these warnings for any younger viewers.
