    "Bergelmir never sought revenge for Odin slaughter. His vengeance...was to live and prosper!" Who else love this phrase?

    Mimir: it begins in an ocean of blood!
    Kratos: finally. A story worth hearing.

      it's funny because he was excited about [the blood] thing. but, it's about live beyond revenge: still the story worth hearing

      if he were to hear this other Tragic event (from another [Flower] Ridiculously more vast than their verse and heavily Mythical-scarred Earth) instead.
      perhaps....he would Not be as grimly excited.

    Bergelmir takes the best revenge in not taking revenge and simply living on.

      Exactly...
      And, unlike Odin, Belgermir lived a good life, being beloved by all, and taking contentement in seeing his kingdom prosper in peace...
      Meanwhile, Odin wasted his life trying to stop the end of his reign, ultimately ruining his life by constantly thinking of his death...
      And constantly trying to avoid his inescapable demise...
      Bringing misery in his life, and in the life of all those around him...

      Exactly!!
      He is the one who ultimately caused Ragnarok, because of his own actions.
      At least Zeus in greek mithology knew that even him, king of the universe, had to obey the will of the fates, who wrote his destiny on stone.

      @@hermescarraro3393 Not really if you think about it, he did imprison Deimos in the realm of death because he believed that Deimos would bring the destruction of Olympus. And then he betrayed and tried to kill Kratos because he believed that Kratos would bring his demise which he did but only because Zeus betrayed him

    When I watch the second part of Belgermir's story, I rememberd two songs: Dethklok's Blood Ocean ann Amon Amarth's On a sea of Blood. But they were not about the myth of Bergelmir, and I didn't find any song about the myth. Such a shame :'v

    As much as love the stories of the giants, I would've loved to hear more about the gods in the game. Yes we heard stories about a few (mainly Odin, Thor, Freya, Baldr) but in the book were mentioned more like Freyr(Freya's brother), Hoenir, Vili, Ve. It would've been cool to get some of them hyped up because they might make an appearence in the next game

    • @papounator8843
      @papounator8843 2 года назад

      There's a mention of Freyr when you visit Alfheim with Mimir. He mentions him when you go to his temple. The Elves are searching for him as he's their god. As for Vili and Ve, the only mention of them in the game is on the shrine of Ymir. Two are standing behind Odin as he slays Ymir... My guess is if there is a mention of other gods, it'll be in God of War Ragnarok.

    So like, if Bergelmir just sailed to Jotunheim…why can’t Odin, Kratos, or anyone else do it?

    • @balanc-joy9187
      @balanc-joy9187 Год назад +2

      Remember, this was back before creation had been as stabilized, and Midgard hadn't been made yet, and with Ymir's blood flooding _all the realms at once_ they were able to sail through it to a realm that was the early Jotunheim before it was Jotunheim. No one can sail to any of the Realms because the sea of Ymir's blood doesn't exist to connect them anymore.
