it is CRAZY how 30 minutes RUclips video is more accurate than a 2.5 hours movie. The director clearly hated Napoleon and did everything to convince the audience of his bias, while Oversimplified shows the true history

I just saw Ridley Scott’s Napoleon and it was so disappointing that I had to come back and rewatch this video to get the taste out of my mouth, oversimplified made a video that’s 10 times more entertaining and actually manages to stay Historically accurate.

Well it's a snowball effect once you have so many subscribers isn't it? When you release a video your influx of people with notifications at once is going to cause the system to think the flood of traffic is a trending video when it's not really trending at all, it's just your already existing subscribers viewing it, but then it gets put on trending list and does trend. For what I remember the Japanese army was incredibly modern (thanks to all the French, English and American counselors they hired, the movie Last Samurai is based upon the story of a french general they transformed into an American guy for the movie). Rewatched this video so I could keep up with the movie while watching it cinema. Yeah well, this video taught me more about Napoleons achievements than a big budget movie which focused on his love life instead of battles and politics.
Can we appreciate that he keeps the flags historically accurate. Biggest pet peeve among history videos.

The Ridley Scott movie was interesting. Would have liked to see more of Napoleon’s battles, but instead much of it was a Wes Anderson-esque expo on Napoleon and Josephine’s relationship.

Sending it thru planes are just a fantasy, you can't on waters because it's *b l o c c a d e s,* and sending it on land means a lot of dead people. It's the 19th Century, not the 20th.
