Today I worked up the courage to do this method. Did it exactly like the best instructor/ teacher (Donna Jordan)in the sewing world shows in this video. I’ll never bind another table runner, table topper,or placemat again. EVER!! Love this woman’s videos.
love love to watch you quilt I've been sitting here all night watching you quilt and I just looked at the time OMG it is 1:30 am I could sit here all night LOL I guess I did thank you for all you do for us want to be quilters
This comment isn't about this tutorial. I just have to say to Mrs. Jordan that, after watching dozens of your tutorials, you've changed my life (because I live to quilt, LOL). I now have tape on my sewing machine to mark my 1/4 inch line all the way to the edge. I also made the most perfectly straight and flat strip set this evening by finger-pressing each seam as they're done, like you show. I will always finger press every seam as I go, thanks to you.
I have been watching you for 1 year on quilting and I enjoy making quilts with you I love what you do as well as I love making quilt you are a great teacher thanks
If you are not familiar with the Quilting with Precuts website, you should check it out. There are many nice comments about Donna's videos and Matt's accurate cutting by the quilters. Your videos are my favorite and I have purchased your kits. To say the least, both are awesome. Thank you for the work you do for quilters.
Hi Donna, I really like the placemat and table runner videos, because time is limited and I am reluctant to start a full quilt. Thanks for all the suggestions.
It’s nighttime here in East Texas and I’m spending this evening with Donna and Matt from Jordan’s Fabrics. Hands down, Donna gives the best tutorials. I’m a beginning quilter/piercer and with Donna’s instructions, I have been able to make some wonderful quilts. I hate cutting so whenever possible I buy precuts that are cut by Matt. Precuts from the factory are never as precise as those that Matt cuts. I can’t thank you enough for making my quilting journey more enjoyable and successful.
Everything you make comes out so beautifully! I LOVE watching your videos. They are part of what’s kept me going this year. I pray one day that God gives me the physical strength and ability to make a beautiful quilt and it will all be done using your tutorials. Your generosity is so heartwarming. You are always giving back through giveaways and I appreciate that very much. The quilt for the giveaway this time... GORGEOUS! I’m sending up a prayer that it might grace my bed and crossing my fingers to boot! (That’s the tiny bit of Kid left in me 🙂) Thank you Donna and Matt (and Cheryl who replied to my email) for all you do!
Sei meravigliosa, grazieeee, mi hai insegnato tantissimo. Ora posso apprezzare i lavori pachwork. Ho eseguito un primo progetto, ho ancora tanto da imparare ma, posso ritenermi soddisfatta. Un grande saluto dall'Italia.
Donna, your tutorials are fantastic! As a beginner quilter, I am learning so much from your tutorials. They are very easy to follow! I really enjoy watching them. Thanks!
Good morning Jordan Fabrics from Raleigh, North Carolina. There used to be a commercial from Folgers Coffee that said, “The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup.” I woke up this blessed Sunday morning and saw the email that you had uploaded a new video. I immediately thought, “The best part of waking up is a new Donna Video in your Inbox!” I am new to quilting and have improved so much since I started watching your videos. I even purchased the same steam iron and 💕 it! Whether I’m ironing, cutting or piercing I always hear you or Matt telling me how to do it. BIG THANK YOU 🙏🏽.
Donna: When you chose the light fabric I wasn't sure it was going to work well with the other colors. Needless to say, the light fabric worked perfectly. :-) And I couldn't help but notice that all of your seams were perfectly flat while you were sewing. I'm in awe. Thank you so much. The tutorials are so much fun to watch - even for projects that are not on my bucket list. Keep up the good work.
Wau, was fuer ein tolles Projekt. Ich verstehe leider nur hin und wieder mal ein Wort, aber schon das Zusehen hilft mir. Ich bin total begeistert von deinen Videos.
Another fantastic tutorial ! I did find it hard to watch in our very hot and humid Aussie Queensland sun, and Donna wearing her woolly jumper ! I also liked the colour combination in this project.
What a lovely gift that would make. Thank you. Your triangle ruler makes quick work of the windmill pattern. Beats the heck out of the old paper bag templates we used to use :)
I'm a beginning quilter and I love all your videos. Although I must admit that my favorite part is how you handle those hardcore sewing machines like a boss. Im still scared of my sewing machine but those bad boys are scared of you lol. Keep rocking those quilts!
Loving all of the table runners you have been doing so much so I'm working on a friendship one right now. One for me and one for my mom. I'm a little scared about doing a pointed runner but just taking my time. Thank you for making the tutorials. I love to watch all your videos, my daughter too.
Love the fabric color choices, your pattern & ease of assembly tutorial❣️ Good tips on alignment and pressing. It’ll be fun creating this table set. Thank you‼️👍
Thank you! I just searched out your old video for the round about and you doing this video answered a few questions I had. The roundabout quilt will be my next project!
Your videos were the first on quilting I started watching. I've been hooked ever since. Thank you for all the free downloadable patterns!!! They are always so much fun to make!!! 😁🥳
Thanks! Beautiful placemats and table runner. In order to not have to use placemats at the end of my table I will need to make my squares a little bigger or make a couple extra. More blocks.
Ms. Donna, my wife watches your tutorials regularly. Sometimes I watch with her. I enjoy quilting because of the geometry and memories of my mother and grandmother hand quilting. I really like your patterns and tutorials. I have a comment about the triangle ruler you normally refer to as a 45-deg. triangle. If you will check, I am sure what you are actually using is a 60-deg triangle. I'm not criticizing just trying to point out a minor error.
I downloaded the pattern and can't wait to make the runner and placemats. I love the fabric you used!! I agree with Smitten!! Since I've been watching your videos, I'm using my 3 lb weight to hold my ruler. Ha Ha!! Mine is pink, too. 😍
Again, years laterstill gorgeous. Donna, I'm learning so much from you and being bold with colours. Thank you for the inspiration! 🎉
