Oris: How we brought a divers watch back to life (2022)

- As anyone who dives regularly will appreciate, the underwater world is beautiful, but harsh. Diver’s watches, as with any diving gear, take some serious punishment in the depths, which is why we always recommend regular servicing and water-resistance checks if you’re a frequent diver.
This Aquis Date was returned to us after years of activity a little worse for wear. We stripped it back, replaced the gaskets and the crown, checked over the uni-directional rotating diver’s bezel, and breathed new life into it. A proper deep clean.

You gave that the kiss of life with TLC to last it another lifetime. I looked back on my own watch collection and noticed that my first watch into addiction was the old nice Oris rectangle watch going back to about 1998 or something and my last purchase was the Oris Aquis cal 400 :) ps I notice the rectangular watch is back out but in a larger version. I might be vintage now :(
I have an Oris Aquis 200m which I bought it back in 2008, I miss those beautiful sword hands and shark teeth indices in the new Oris divers.

My Oris Staghorn went for a service and came back with debris inside, scratched dial and hands. The ad sent it off again and asked the dial and hands be replaced and the service done again. When it returned it was cleaner but still the same scratched dial and hands. I was told that Oris watched got serviced in the UK by a company called Chrontime not Oris. I suggested the watch be sent to Switzerland. In the end I returned the watch for a full refund. This was only last week I had had the watch since 2017. Not very happy really. But I can’t go through that every 5 years it’s so disheartening.

Wie kann man die Uhr so verdrecken lassen? Das ist eine Taucheruhr und bei der täglichen Dusche wird diese gereinigt.
Wondering in which location it was done? In Switzerland? Do official ORIS repair services in another countries have the same equipment for restoration?
These restoration were done at our Swiss factory. Certainly, our local service center are equipped with the necessary tools and equipments.

@RotorBoater Thx, I was thinking it would be around $300-$500. Which I think is fair if one is breaking down the whole watch, cleaning, re-oiling, and replacing worn or broken parts.
Does Oris do this white model in the 41.5mm?
