I must say,at first look I underestimated this dial,now after seeing it more,I think its actually one of the best blues in their line-up,just after Lake Baikal and Whale Shark.Beautiful royal blue,plus interesting texture adds the special effect
What a great dial ORIS, wonderfully done. I would be tempted, scratch that, I'm tempted for this piece even though I do have a couple of other Aquis models. I've not seen the original anime film but did see the old TV series that must be over four decades ago. Do I need this watch? No. Can I justify this watch? No. Do I want this watch? Hell yes,. I like that the crown guards can be removed. To me they make a watch look ugly and make working the crown a pain. I ground down the guards on my Omega. It looks much nicer now.
I keep getting conflicting information about this particular Oris. Does it have a ceramic bezel or stainless steel. I know in your video, you mention ceramic, but at other retailers on-line it mentions stainless steel. Would buy it if I knew 100 % it;s ceramic. Can someone let me know ?
Why aren't any watchmaker making a 28mm diver with a really thick rotating bezel? The ultimate feature of a watch when it all boils down to it, is "how small does it wear"? Smaller is ALWAYS better. No matter how miniscule, if it wears significantly smaller, it's a go! So, now, watchmakers of the world, give us that 28mm diver watch we all want. Maybe with an internally rotating bezel if that makes it wear even smaller than a regular bezel would. I mean, the technology is there.
They also halve in value the second you buy and keep shit time. Want to change the strap.. Costs a fortune.. Sick of watch people bigging up oris. They're OK at best.

Only criticism, at this level quick adjust really should be standard on the clasp.
