I'm surprised no one has brought up "load management". In the same way that a team may want to protect the player's trade value by sitting him, players get "thigh soreness" and "ankle sprains" and "knee stiffness" all the time to protect themselves and their own value when forcing a trade. I honestly don't have a problem with what NBA teams do, even though I believe their should be some written or unwritten rules about communication, and most certainly support players using their power to secure their positions like we saw with AD, Kyrie, and Harden.
@Mark Warner Because rookie contracts and the rookie wage scale. Those are both designed to benefit teams by hedging against bad investment returns on draft picks. NBA rookies are basically tied to a team for 5 years, and any type of guy with the power to voice the desire for a trade will have (or in the past) exponentially outperformed his rookie contract. From there, it's just both sides of a business deal using what leverage they have to secure the best position for them. The CBA exists to protect teams/owners, but also to protect the "average" NBA player. The guy not in a position to demand a trade. Superstars like Harden or Kyrie are just as bound to their duty to make the league a better organization for the average player as they are bound to their duties to the team. However, the CBA doesn't account for the team-side human factor: i.e., coaches and front office management. Superstars have their futures unfairly tied to the competence of a coach or GM. This can million 10s of millions in salary and endorsements. Ultimately, a superstar player almost has no choice but to force a move if they feel the owner is not building a team that contributes to their success, or has been stuck with an incompetent coach. The thing that most people, even perhaps a lot of players, have failed to realize, accept, or acknowledge, is that the players are the experts of their profession, and today's players are so skilled and studied that the skills/expertise of the coaching staff are sometimes below that of the player(s). Legally I can do a LOT of trash things and will get trashed by anyone who knows about it. Team owners CAN trade guys at halftime but they should be trashed when they do it.
I have no idea what that twisting road that Wiley is going down to say something basic and nonsensical.
This whole generation of victims...
Yeah I feel so sorry for this generation. Anytime these B’s want to trade with me and my minimum wage job let me know. These babies will get no sympathy here. 💩 like this is why I could careless about sports. How many people haven’t been working due to Covid?? Yeah no sympathy here
Strongly agree...
Yep
@@jameswilkins4936 neurosurgeons get paid handsomely as well. Stop blaming other ppl for your lack of success
Wiley, your defense of Chuck sounds very forced, not real.
Wiley should have just said he wasn’t prepared for this segment 😂 they txt him the topic on the way to work lol
😂😂😂
Wiley speaking out both sides of his mouth
What's new
He gets paid to do just that.
I don't even understand what Marcellus is talking about...🤔
Making up stuff as he goes along.
I love FS1 giving two brothas the oppurtunity to run a segment show on a major network platform 👑
Wiley & Barkley are the ONLY OBJECTIVE BLACK VOICES ON A MAJOR PLATFORM TV/Radio 🔥 Thank You for Not Pandering 🗣
Acho there are a lot former athletes who were never any good also includes you
To date, there has been less than 30,000 NFL players to EVER play the game. Given the fact of ALL of the high school and college players to ever play. To be one (Acho) to be drafted and play one season or even one snap in the league is a lot better than you can ever think about coming close to the in sport other than being an armchair QB. If you EVER feel so fortunate go ahead and lace ‘em up....Let’s see how that works out for you.
Dude you listen to Candace Owens, you are a terrible judge of people.
Acho is such s smart man. I love listening to him.
@Risks It For The Biscuit So does yours mean more?? less?? 🧐
It’s Charles Barkley... who cares!!!
You obviously
Charles Barkley =Alabama mentality.
@@ricksanchez8393 which is better than California, New York, and Illinois culture and mentality.
This show is honestly underrated. Acho and Wiley both be spitting some real knowledge with a good mix of sports
David Edward's checking in From N.C. Charles Barkley is the perfect example of getting caught up in the messenger and not the message, I thought we had freedom of speech in this country regardless of economic or professional status..
He’s not saying he can’t talk he’s saying he shouldn’t which is even worse
Man, Wiley will make a lie the truth and the truth a lie!
You ain’t lying 🤥 lol
Acho just continues to make Wiley look baaad
Wiley tripping😩🤦🏾♂️not surprising being Chuck and Wiley been called a certain name they are acting like right now😭🤦🏾♂️Wiley further reinforcing the bs
“I don’t like Charles Barkley” he could’ve stopped right there.
Facts!!!! Nothing to like about that clown...
Lol imagine if this situation was happening to somebody in any other profession besides sports.
What do you mean? having to answer to bosses?
What do you mean?
There's people who get promoted or demoted or transferred and must travel to the other side of the country. This happens all the time.
@J Day There is non-compete clauses all of the time in contracts.
Wiley is so disingenuous. Not because of he agrees with Chuck but the reasons why he thought he was valid totally undermine past takes he's gave .
Wiley struggled
In sports.......YES winning matters........produce or keep quiet.
Wiley must have drawn the short stick when it came down to which side to debate ?
He basically wants everyone to have a no trade clause and idk about that.
Wiley made no sense on his take and neither the chuck.
nawl you just slow
The one word that Acho was looking for during the beginning of verbose opening was "microcosm."
Slick Rick face while Wiley was talking💀☠️💀
Players aren't partners they are commodities. Players come and go. Theres always someone waiting to take your spot. Too many cry babies in sports. No integrity. The fans need to wake up, stop buying the merch and stay home.
What's the difference between a factory worker and a professional ball player do they play for them self
I really like that pink suit Acho. Keep it up bro!
People tend to listen more to the messenger than the message and if they are more popular...Dont fall for it.
If I am from Cleveland I know we aren’t gonna win with Drummond so why would we care if they sit him ... that’s the difference 😂
Sound to me like Chuck was saying is more about Cavs, that losing part, Cavs are losing and they need to reorganize.
You totally missed Draymond’s point. He’s saying it’s disrespectful to Drummond for the Cavs to sit him, because he wants to play basketball and being a healthy scratch and having to sit on the sidelines in street clothes watching his teammates play without him is humiliating. And there’s a double standard that when teams disrespect players like that, fans and the media say nothing, but they’ll “castrate” players when they disrespect their team
@@williamcreager6434 my point is when players choose too sit out it’s not beneficial for the team so of course fans of that team are gonna be upset... but if a team sits a player out it’s usually too benefit our team in this case keeping him healthy too trade so fans understand. So in short when a player sits out on his own ..more often than not it isn’t gonna benefit your team in the long run it’s more so gonna benefit the player only
@@ryanlebard3787 And the player has the right to prorect his investment. Which is himself. At the end of the day, by your assesment, the only one that cares about the player is the player. So he must look out fot himself because, again, according to you, the owners and the fans wont.
@@blackchain1900 of course they should look after themselves... but they shouldn’t be surprised when what there doing is affecting the team negatively and get destroyed for it...we are Fanatics anyone not wanting to be with the team you love and putting the team in a bad position cause you are looking out for yourself is gonna get criticized and that’s never gonna change so they need too stop crying... when an owner does it ...it’s usually for the better of the team so not as much criticism
Zero championships Barkley criticizes 3 time champion Draymond because his team is "losing?" Barkley is clueless.
Fox sports got Cel looking like a Cellout
No cell got cell looking like a sellout!
Chuck was absolutely right... history shows us that you’re tolerated until you production dictates you can be replaced. He didn’t say don’t do it, he was saying be aware.
Man he has to get it straight. The issue is the sports media they are the ones that have the problem with players demanding trades and care if the organization sits a player out and put the information out there for the team. The fines that players received is league policy if you don't like it then don't play for the league or during the next collective bargaining agreement threaten and follow through sitting out until the policy is changed. The issue is they wont because of the money.
Employer/ employee relationship. The EMPLOYER makes the decision. END OF STORY.
Yea where you work @ 😂😂, apparently he has more say at his job than you. Now shut up, stay quiet and punch that clock
So true
Replace Wiley! He’s so smart til he’s dumb!
He thinks he's slot smarter than he actually is.
😅😅😅😅😅
Of course Marcellus Wiley agrees🤦🏾♂️
This is the Emmanuel Acho Show.
I never thought id hear someone describe Draymond as noble.
Wiley and Barkley have a grand total of how many championships?
Why does that even matter? Barkley at least was the guy when he took the Suns to the finals. Draymond isn’t carrying no team even to the playoffs but likes to talk like he’s a top player in the league. He should humble himself and look at his teammate curry. The best shooter ever. You see Steph mouthing off?
Exactly ...
0!!! Lol good point
The same amount you have!!!
Acho reminds me of my aunt. A 65 year old w liberal. Everything Acho will say tomorrow my aunt said yesterday! Lol
Draymond is 100% correct...... The players have the power, they need to negotiate better when their deal is up. We don’t need owners we need players.
They union heads are weak.
Imagine you. At your job. Boss tells you hey we're transferring you, we're still gonna pay you, just come to work and chill. Don't do any work until we transfer you. You good? WE ALL GOOD!
But if your boss basically puts it out there that he devalues you it can harm your reputation with future endeavors
A trade is not a transfer. Draymond is just essentially saying keep the same energy across the board.
@@LIJerseyBrooklyn No. The Cavs have made it clear they love Drummond. Hes not in their futre plans right now with the acquisition of a better player at his position.
Charles u have 0 rings when u get 3 then talk if u wanna talk about winning
Thank you someone said it!!! Also Im from Alabama an ask me what charles has done for his state or community smh
If you get to speak based on success why is Charles The Barkley ever speaking?
Or Wiley for that matter.
Wiley being a contrarian just to be one. Got all that paperwork and still not making sense.
Facts. I feel like he has to give an opposing opinion for the show to seem like a debate show. You can tell he’s forcing himself to be different.
You always speak the truth, Wiley?
He was not attacking an opposing team, he was attacking an opposing construct. Nice
Barkley is a sellout, bro. He literally became the person he hated as a player.
How is he a sellout?
I FAILED MICRO....... BUT LOVE THE SHOW. RICK BEUCHER IS A GREAT GUEST
Charles talking about if Kaepernick was winning he still been in the NFL. You gotta watch what you say if you're not winning or producing
I wonder if these guys had the same problem with Shaq trolling Dwight Howard???
If I follow that logic, a rookie could use the same platform to express his sentiment without being told that he's only a rookie and has to earn the right
"Let me hear what you gotta say first, then I'll decide if you're an idiot or not"
Draymond green wasnt wrong for standing up for PLAYERS that's one of selfless things he's done talked about players that's not on his team and standing up for them
They turned wiley into the old fat guy, and he's losing fans. If it wasn't for achos the show would be bad
Horrible take Wiley
slow day in sports when we're breaking down Tito Jackson's statement (aka Draymond)
Wiley to me is almost the only sports analyst that has his thinking cape on when he speaks. Acho sounds smart and intelligent, but he doesn't make since to me.
I disagree with Charles Barkley Criticism Draymond Green
Draymond: I'm the reason we won three championships.
Media: we haven't ask the question 🤷♂️yet
🤣🤣
You determine it when you only ask the good players questions
I've said for years and i'll say it again...if Draymond was in NBA purgatory, he'd say absolutely nothing.
He's so annoying. Never have I seen a man ride coattails so hard like Green. It's insane how he has the audacity to be so loud when everybody including himself know he is just riding the gravy train
All Draymond said is I want to talk about something that has been bothering me. Then he said how he feels. He has every right to an opinion, nobody has to agree or disagree but if u put it out there, ppl r gonna comment.
Millionaires complaining about how hard there life is is not something anyone wants to hear ..
