This might have been the best point Wiley has ever made lol. The fight you see is never really the reason. It's just the conclusion of a whole lot of stuff you didn't witness
KD didnt leave because of that argument.... The Argument was fueled by the Idea KD was going to leave meaning it was known in the locker room and it boiled over with Draymond. KD left because winning a chip didnt feel like he thought it would, when he watched Jordan hold the trophy and cry or Kobe jump up on the table with his fist balled he didnt get that same emotion they felt, his chip felt more manufactured in a lab like a math equation, Best Player + Best Team = Chip. Just like Lebron chip in Miami felt more like relief than joy (his chip in Cleveland however you saw the tears and emotion). however what Draymond did removed any chance KDs decision could be changed.

KD says Kerr and Bob Meyers acted like nothing happened while Draymond felt they got to involved. If that’s how they feel it’s whatever but how can you agree with something that contradicts what the other said?
Kevin Durant said he was watching the last dance and Scottie pippen didn't enter the game and everyone in the locker room called him out. Kevin Durant said that in the locker room everyone acted like nothing happened. Durant wanted more communication. The warriors tried to sweep it under the rug. So Durant said that was the main reason
Kevin Durant played this all wrong. All he had to do after the incident was go to Bob Myers and say, "Either him or me." There's no way Green doesn't get traded with the quickness, especially with the Warriors eventually playing in a new arena. There's no way KD could've stayed there after being called out of his name. He would've lost more respect than he already did when he joined a 73-win team.
Winning rings by joining the team with the greatest record of all time that were 1 or 2 plays from being back to back champs before you got there does nothing to help your legacy.
No, but the same fans quick to discredit KD for joining the Warriors are also quick to crown him the best player in the world when a case for Giannis is made
This is so contradicting. Draymond blames the warriors front office for getting involved and forcing him to apologize but KD said he wanted the team to call Draymond out and didn't like that Steve Kerr tried to sweep this incident under the rug but all of the sudden KD agree with Draymond in the interview?!? Nothing makes sense. They both blaming someone else for their argument... MAN UP AND TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY
KD wanted to leave because he used the Warriors to finally win and beat LeBron. Then he realized the world didn’t recognize his accomplishments with that super team and used the argument with Dray as an excuse to move on.
KD a sad man. Doesn’t deserve to win again. I hope giannis or the warriors win the next 3. I don’t even like lebron but would prefer to see him win over KD.

I really think people missing something BIG with this. Draymon had to keep pushing KD to make a decision bc Bob Myers wouldve had to make a decision to keep KD over draymon when extensions was coming up. If KD stayed, that would have gotten Draymon traded after the 2019 season. It was a HEAVY play by Draymon and his agent. Ultimately, KD gets pushed out June 19' Draymon got the extension Aug 19'. The arguments was about are you staying or leaving. ALSO Rich Paul was the agent 👀.
Draymond got Kevin out to get paid, if Kevin had stayed no way Draymond would have made as much as he is making now, at least not with the warriors. Think about it, If the warrior pay Curry, and Klay and Kevin, Draymond will be the out of the warriors or take a minimum pay.
KDs choice to join the warriors... Was the reason why he left .. no one respects him and he didn't feel fulfilled and therefore he didn't get the respect given to "real" champs.. he needs to win a chip with a team that is "his"... KD became Scotty pippen lol
Why would the Warriors put KD in front of Steph when Steph been there and Steph the reason why KD came anyway lol newsflash he lost to Steph and the Warriors not the other way around
Draymond playing for the warriors back to back seasons played terrible and he has the audacity to disrespect his coach and gm. Draymond is an idiot he need to be humbled and traded. He’s not worth the issues he brings.
they contradict themselves, they say it was a beef between just them 2, but also thought management should do more, yet Draymond didn't like being asked to apologize and said they did nothing when they suspended him for it. You can't say management did nothing and then complain about the stuff they did.
KD also said that he always felt like it was Kevin Durant and the Warriors, like he wasn't really a part of the team, I'm sure that played a bigger part in his departure than the Draymond fight, he wanted to go somewhere where he wasn't looked at as this x factor to an already successful and established situation.

@@joyboy1720 no what he means is that they wanted to sweep it under the rug by just forcing Draymond to apologise and not bowing to media pressure/attention. It was a PR move. KDs point is that let the players address it full
on, air out any grievances and so forth. That way they can better move forward
Slick Rick talking that talk! 💯 best sport show out
Rick was spitting facts on this
Acho couldn’t be more wrong KD was already leaving.. the draymond ish was just the straw that broke the camels back
Also kd is soft and needs to cuddled
Everyone who called him a cupcake lol
@Pull up your pants black man is*
@Pull up your pants black man cupcake with a ring on it lol
Truth hurts
Ric said, "If its not working, I'm just gonna dip" lolololololololololololol talk to em SlickRic
It was working and he dipped lmao
So let me get this right KD gives a reason for leaving the team. And his former teammates agrees that his reason for leaving the team was valid. And now all of you who weren’t there don’t know any of them and have no inside information on situation are telling a grown man he’s lying about his life........ and y’all call KD the sensitive one😂😂 😂😂NBA fans are weird
KD says Kerr and Bob Meyers acted like nothing happened while Draymond felt they got to involved. If that’s how they feel it’s whatever but how can you agree with something that contradicts what the other said?
KD isn’t just looking for championships he’s looking for validation.
Other great players feel validated already but they just need to prove it.
Media: KD should leave the warriors. Also Media:Why did he leave?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exactly 😅
Great takes from start to finish
Ric dropped a gem 💎
this the realest show
Winning rings by joining the team with the greatest record of all time that were 1 or 2 plays from being back to back champs before you got there does nothing to help your legacy.
No, but the same fans quick to discredit KD for joining the Warriors are also quick to crown him the best player in the world when a case for Giannis is made
@@karimw.9954 You ain't kidding.
Exactly it was a combination of that plus greens comment plus the GM and coach essentially not defending him.
They lost
They needed him to lead them on the court
He left and they haven’t been to the playoffs since!
@@NwoFresh and KD hasn’t been to the finals since lol
That’s the realist take Ric ever gave!
Egos always ruin reigns of greatness
Facts
KD all ego. Steph and klay, greater team players and shooters, without the ego.
Best take on this situation I've heard...from everyone.
Great segment.
KD wanted to leave because he used the Warriors to finally win and beat LeBron. Then he realized the world didn’t recognize his accomplishments with that super team and used the argument with Dray as an excuse to move on.
Ric dropping jewels
Wiley is right...kd said publicly after he won a championship he felt like "thats all"...he expected a diff feeling n he didnt get it.
Different because it was a cheap title.
Bucks , mavericks , and pistons had the feeling he was looking for
KD a sad man. Doesn’t deserve to win again. I hope giannis or the warriors win the next 3. I don’t even like lebron but would prefer to see him win over KD.
Marcellus nailed it 👌🏾
Kd was outside wondering what else was out there. Green shut the door behind him and kd was gone.
All of them had a valid point. Great discussion. Totally agreed on their argument.
Kevin Durant is a afraid of his own shadow. He let Steven A Smith back in down, Draymond called him the B word he was scared, but he wants to argue with fans on line. Give me a break
U have two first names...
And call out his coaches and gm
Instead of Draymond.
@@pleaseshutup7053 who has more power, gm or green? Everyone looked at this too close. Kd wondered if he should go, and Greene said yes and called him a *itch so he left. Lol
It’s not like kd was quite during their argument he talked about
@@danmcgilldm I agree Draymond is a clown but kd had the most power he didn’t realize it. If he wanted Draymond gone. Bye Draymond
Except the fact that Steph build it,you forget that Steph TOOK A STEP BACK so this thing can work!
As the leader of the team he gave the good example and everybody else followed.
Klay Dray and Steph all working for KD to succeed cause if he was going to give his 100% and be successful then the team was going to be successful and unbitable.
That KD failed to realise, that everybody in some aspect had to make a sacrifice!
He didnt want to sacrifice anything and thats why he left..
Wiley tripping if someone called him a bith he would have started swinging lmao.
Right about now, A got to say that your show is my #1. With that being said, y’all have different options about said situation which I have listened to, and it’s possible that y’all are right. Yeah, all you have said could possibly be small contributors to that big EXPLOSION 💥
The fact that they had to tell dray to apologize its on him a big man should knows when he is wrong
"The greatest basketball player to ever wear a Warriors' uniform" isn't Wilt Chamberlain?
He's. Been moving around highschool and schools snice he was a kid.

Most fans still don’t count KD’s rings.
His rings count but when you want to rank kd the context of those rings comes into question.
I can’t… I don’t know how to count at all 😅
And this is what bothers KD
@@pleaseshutup7053 yup, he has rings but when context comes in, it’s so controversial.
You don’t speak for most fans
Slick got a little gangster there. I love it.
Marcelus Wiley: "You really think KD would leave based on yelling at him"?
Everyone" isn't the KD the superstar that makes burner accounts to answer back to fans?" KD is a petty guy so it was A reason not THE reason
This logic doesnt apply at all. Him replying to fans about basketball has nothing to do with someone yelling at him..like your reaching with this.
@@Theonlygogeta actually it does. It speaks to how KD takes to heart when people criticize him for whatever reason. Draymond getting in his face saying leave we won without you wasnt THE reason but it is A reason. It's not reaching to say that KD will not take criticism well and tries to prove wrong anyone who says otherwise whether it's fans or Green
Why are people forgetting KD said part of the reason he left was because of what Draymond said a few years back on First Take??? He said it wasn’t the biggest reason but it was apart of it. KD just ain’t wanna say that to his face.
There's no way I would've kept Draymond over KD... They could've had Curry, Klay, KD and someone like Andre Drummond, Christian Wood, Dwight Howard or even Davis Bertans.
Kd was out either way. Why trade draymond?
@@AR-rn8ok Trade value was highest it's ever been and other players produce more - he is a liability statistically anywhere on the court... whether it was free throw, wide open 3pt shot or creating his own shot. 29% 3pt, 45%fg and 70%free throw... he avg 7pts/gm along w/ 7rebs.
@@leroysanders3564 but the warriors weren’t gonna do that dude they’ve been treating their franchise 3 guys the right way and showing other stars that if you take care of them they’ll take care of you I don’t think it’s too bad what they’ve done
They made a stupid excuse. Draymond caused KD to leave
Acho needs to remember Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullen, Nate Thurmond and Rick Barry or even Wilt Chamberlain for a while so saying Durant is the best Warriors player is a joke. Draymond needs to accept responsibility for his actions instead of pointing the finger at others
I can’t like this enough
First time I agree with Rick. KD chasing fame and rings because he thinks it gives him love from the neutral fan.
I like this show 🔥🔥 Every reporter has a good opinion and critical… I’ll put skip and Shannon #2 behind this guys! Good stuff
lessons to learn , Kd was a great renter but the house belong to steph curry.
Why would the Warriors put KD in front of Steph when Steph been there and Steph the reason why KD came anyway lol newsflash he lost to Steph and the Warriors not the other way around
Don’t get it. KD and Draymond tell y’all what happened and their perspectives yet people are telling them they’re wrong or that they’re to blame. Smh.
Draymond playing for the warriors back to back seasons played terrible and he has the audacity to disrespect his coach and gm. Draymond is an idiot he need to be humbled and traded. He’s not worth the issues he brings.
You can tell KD isn't being honest. He is weak for that.
they contradict themselves, they say it was a beef between just them 2, but also thought management should do more, yet Draymond didn't like being asked to apologize and said they did nothing when they suspended him for it. You can't say management did nothing and then complain about the stuff they did.
@@ShaunCruzNYC how can u tell? U know KD? Y’all talked personally?? Or are u just making something up because u don’t like him
KD also said that he always felt like it was Kevin Durant and the Warriors, like he wasn't really a part of the team, I'm sure that played a bigger part in his departure than the Draymond fight, he wanted to go somewhere where he wasn't looked at as this x factor to an already successful and established situation.
It's so much love between kd and the warriors.

The Brooklyn Nets better be careful with KD, somebody could take the slice of cake he wanted and leave the very next day. 🐍
and KD would be like, its not about the cake, I just wanted the cake to be acknowledged.
It’s totally on players. They should have talked it out, man to men. For them to try to blame it on anybody else is just childish and immature.
Umm that’s their point. They were on that path but management intervened.

1. Steph Curry: He the face of the franchise. He's supposed to be bringing them back together.
2.Draymond Green: If he was mad KD was leaving he should've addressed KD like a man off the court. Instead he blew up at the end of regulation when he took a rebound away from KD took the ball up the court and fumbled away an easy November victory.
