Its absolutley wild how much of a difference those 5" carvens make. It kept the rasp but added some bass too it. If only I could convince the wife to run that setup on hers Haha

My 2013 5.7 Sounds like yours On the start up I still have resonators. Don’t get me wrong might be a little deeper but pretty damn close
When you did the muffler delete did you do a dual pipe back or one 3 inch or how big was it and to a Y out the back
I bought a 3” y pipe in place of the muffler I plan on going dual sometime after I get back to the states.
Did you get any warning lights from doing the resonator delete. Has the lack of back pressure been a problem
Didnt get any warning lights, usually only get them when you mess with the cats or headers
My 2017 Ram has a aftermarket muffler, sounds great. Like to keep it but do a resonator delete, do they make just a bolt on kit to get rid of the resonators?
You can buy axel backs that have the resonators removed for Rams and have a company bolt it in instead of weld.. it may cost a little extra since they’ll have to add a few pieces, but it surely can be done.
But as far as bolt in / out resonators.. I don’t think anyone makes them since they’re as small as they are.
So, I have a 2012 5.7. Currently I have a Blackwidow Race Venom & the resonator delete. Everything else is stock except for a CIA. Do you think this would be louder? You'd have to look up the sound clips as I don't think I can post it here.
Removing the bw race venom muffler would make it much louder. My intake is a vararam which may pull in more air (depending on what you run) making it louder.

Removing them doesn’t mess the truck up, there’s no o2 sensors near them unlike cats. it just restricts the last bit of exhaust leaving... it’s good to keep if you’re going to add boost, but if not then there’s no problems with removing the resonators to make it louder!
Hey so I did the muffler delete on my 2014 ram 1500 5.7 and it sounds great but want louder. Does it sound good/is it louder to do a muffler delete and resonator delete as well? Hard to tell on a video.
It’s much loude, than what I was expecting just by removing the resonators.. now mine pops anytime I let off the gas which is one thing I love. I’m planning adding headers and highflow cats when I get back to the states just to make it even louder haha.. it turns heads forsure
I have a muffler delete and a resonator delete and Makes it just alittle louder and makes it pop more.

Yo where did you get that third light bar and those stripes? Could you send me like a link for the third brake light thing under the tailgate and how much the stripes cost? Lookin to do the same for my 2014 ram r/t
The third brake light was from eBay but the company I bought it from doesn’t exist anymore for some reason unless they changed names. But the tailgate light bar was the flow series from opt 7 . The stripes were 140 for the black then 70 for the red outside of it.
@@66two I just got my third light bar from Opt7, absolutely love it, also I love the sound of the truck, I have the Carven competitor series muffler and I want to do the same thing with the resonator delete
So I’m just seeing this due to just now looking around. What did you replace the muffler and resonators with exactly?
I replaced the muffler with a y pipe (was about 80 on eBay brand new at the time. Can look up y pipe for your year and model truck. ) , and replaced both resonators with pipe (any exhaust shop with have pipe they can put in place. no need to buy) . So there’s nothing there restricting sound besides the cats. Hope that helps some boss.
Will any 5 inch tips make it deeper or are the carvens special
To be honest I’m not 100 percent sure, the only I know when it comes to 5” tips is the single wall tips sound a little better than double wall tips. In my opinion. I think any tip you go with at 5” will sound good
I should’ve gotten my ram in the same color. Doesn’t look right seeing Sublime Green & plain silver in my driveway

432 Hemi it made a huge difference, it pops like crazy now and is way louder which is what I was wanting.

Tips were 200 I believe , but carven stopped making the single walled tips I believe they’re all double wall now so it will have somewhat of a different sound
How much drone do you have compared to stock?
To be honest the drone in my opinion isn’t as bad as people make it out to be, I don’t really notice it when I’m driving anymore , but I also enjoy how loud it is and hearing the pops.

Not very loud at all to be honest.. when you’re in the cab at a light you won’t really notice until you take off again

Tips were 229 , most expensive part of my exhaust so far😂
Does it drone
I cut the factory Y off and ran 2 pipes from there back into the factory duals at rear, straight piped. Left my resonators and factory tips, it drones very little, I also do the gear shift trick, run it all the way up to 8th and let it ride. Sounds good!! That factory Y is where most of the drone comes from imo.
How loud is it? I want to do something like this but don’t want to wake up the house lol
In terms of loud for a truck, it’s pretty loud.. not clapping obnoxious loud like some trucks, but it usually pops really loud when I start it. But you will definitely be heard in the mornings by neighbors, especially when it’s cold out. Mine usually idles down after about 30 seconds and it’s not crazy loud anymore.

Thanks! I appreciate it! This is still with cats, I’m debating on taking them off still.. I love the way it sounds right now, but I think removing the cats may give me more of the clapping sound , I may try it one of these days but still haven’t decided.

The tips were 5” single wall carven exhaust tips, but they stopped producing them about 2 years ago I believe, they only have double wall now if I’m correct. Sorry for getting back so late. You may be able to find some on eBay, or Fb marketplace.

Lorenzo Scarboro i could tell a big difference between the stock tips and the 5” tips, I like the loud raspy sound it adds. As well as the pops when I let off the gas
