I'm a 747-8 mechanic, honestly, she's an amazing airplane. I'm proud to be part of her. I may be only a mechanic installing her flaps and landing gear....but where else can you go and say that "I built that!" when it comes to Air Force One. I"m looking forward to being hands on building the best for the next President of the United States. :)
I'm a Boeing Everett mechanic. This video isn't a A380, it's totally a Boeing 747. With the current financial situation, I was transferred to the 777 line after 8 years as the 2nd shift flap and landing gear team lead. I'm doing all I can to make sure that Boeing stays strong, I believe in this product. I miss my Big Bertha, she's an amazing airplane, one of the last that is totally built by Boeing alone. I hope to God that she doesn't vanish, she's epic. I'm close to retirement, I'm proud to be a "Rosie the riveter". I'll take that to my grave. We in the U.S. need to stand by these amazing Boeing aircraft. Being a Boeing mechanic, all I can say is that it doesn't get better. There is no way in hell that Airbus can create the most iconic airplane in the world (747). I'm one of the last dying breed to say, I am hands on this big girl...I love and miss working on her. I'm proud to be one of the few who got to build the most iconic airplanes in the world.
And they just had to show a A380 picture when their talking about a B747. People who work for the new might of just went on google and find some random pictures of B747 and knowing it is a different plane. Even though it was just one wrong picture~
+Karlen Bell Actually, the Air force and WH had a choice between the B748 and the A388. At the end they chose the B748 over the A388 to replace the current B742. Besides, it wouldn't make sense for the president to fly a plane made in France. Better keep the American jet.
simonhusky67 , You know that 747-8 or 747-400 and so on are part of the B747 family right? So me typing B747 is not wrong. In fact, you are half wrong because even though everyone knows that 747s are part of Boeing, you should still type "Boeing 747-8" to be completely correct.
Paul Wanders well the a380 cost more to fuel, and the 747-8 is one of the most fuel efficient aircraft on the market, and Boeing makes better aircraft.

Does CBS not know that we have a 44th President? All pics show the Installed One.
And they just had to show a A380 picture when their talking about a B747. People who work for the new might of just went on google and find some random pictures of B747 and knowing it is a different plane. Even though it was just one wrong picture~

The couldn't use the A380 anyway, Federal law requires the Presidential plane to be American.....so even if they wanted to, they couldn't
It's a 747-8 ..... google is your friend.....look it up and you will see the difference.

better off trump using his 757 with some anti missile tech added on.
Drump. Force one. Speed entry. Ok
damn Trump is lucky
Should Of Gone With The A380. The 380 Still Over All Is Bigger Than The New Ordered 747-8. Thats Sad.
Paul Wanders well the a380 cost more to fuel, and the 747-8 is one of the most fuel efficient aircraft on the market, and Boeing makes better aircraft.
Rockington TheThird Boeing use to make better aircraft not anymore
Willie Edwards actually Boeing is still the leading aircraft company
And to be fair the a380 and various other airbus planes have had broken windows loose doors and engine explosions
airbuses have a higher crash rate
I'm King Of The United States Of América Forever 24/7 🇺🇸
the 747 really do have the wrong number's we all love them commercial or federal everyone are a little bit scared of some change in the fuyure
