- Welcome back to another video. Today I am chatting about watches again, this time why I have decided to buy another Tudor watch - maybe even two. The first will be one of the precious metal releases for 2021. A surprising release from Tudor but very intriguing thats for sure. What do you think?

G'day Michael, Just picked up my 925 today here in Sydney! Its a phenomenal piece, came across your channel when actually researching the 925. I totally agree that a silver strap would be to overdone with the piece. I purchased mine with the leather strap but can't wait to put a Nato on it! I have ordered both the black bay chrono and black bay fifty eight 925 , AD didn’t give me a time frame as he said orders were flying in , you have made me now want the Black bay Harrods edition , I will call up tomorrow to see what they say , even if it’s a year it doesn’t matter as it’s a special watch ,

Hey Michael, still hangin in with my first gen bronze as well. The brown one. I know what you mean about the bronze and what Tudor is creating in general right now. I’m looking at buying the Pelagos FXD next, after buying the red bezel 58 in 2019. It’s a 41mm size and the FXD is 42mm, so that’s gonna be great too.

Just received confirmation that I will receive mine in June, chose the leather strap. I agree that the nato strap looks better, however, I don´t like how it covers up the display case back. I´ll probably buy a similar nato, though, one where it is possible to have a glance at the movement.
True, hiding the case back is a flaw in the nato style.
Just picked up one of these on the fabric strap. The strap looks good, color-wise, but seems unsubstantial. I'm looking to put it on a thick leather strap. Good vid. Keep at it!

The see-through caseback is the only flaw of this watch. Wish it was an option, or atleast the rotor was decorated.
I like the display back but yes you are right it’s not a beautiful movement. I wonder why Tudor decided in this? I like the silver more than I like the see- through case back. Cheers

I bought 3 of them. And I am going to buy a 4th one next week.
I ordered my 925 BB58 a week or so ago from my friendly AD here in France. I have bought both the blue and black versions from them so they give me very good service. I should get it next month (May) and am looking forward to it very much. They didn't ask me what strap I want so I assume it'll come on the leather one.

I ordered a BB58 (so excited) as well as the Black Dial Chrono :D BUT, the Silver BB58 is awesome indeed! Got to try one on! The Gold though is ridiculous - not in the spirit of Tudor IMO.

Really like the 925 BB58. My only concern would be how it may corrode over time, despite Tudor claim it won’t.

It a heavy watch at 90gs and that the case alone. im getting a custom bracelet made out of 925.
The fabric strap makes no sense to me - it covers the case back. If I get this I would get the leather for a spare and then buy a 2 piece nato style strap afterwards.
The leather strap tapers too much for me at the buckle ends. An aftermarket leather strap would work better. I have the Tudor fabric strap for my BBB and its a great strap.Cheers
Well I called harrods 3 times and i couldn’t get an answer from the Tudor stand each time , so customer services took my details and said they would email me to let me know I have been added to the wait list, I hear what your saying it’s just green bezel , but clever marketing makes me want one , and your right if it was orange it would be easyJet 🤣😂🤣 so true , I’m a sucker

I love the BB 58's, but I don't like seeing lower end tool watches with open case backs, decorated movements on higher caliber watches, yes.
I do like how its different. Never could decide on the original black or even the later blue BB 58. I really like the silver and the subtle style of the taupe /grey. But yes you are right about the display back.l

@@MichaelBath it definitely looks better in person , it was the leather strap good job as didn't want nato. Was matching with my light grey polo .....first 39mm watch I now own and it fits perfectly. Definitely something different & special
I rather get white gold over yellow gold, but I rather get silver over bronze
It's not too much silver on a silver bracelet. I would wear it everyday. Watches become jewelry with a purpose overtime.

Could have bought a white Chrono last week. Not a nice watch in my opinion. Harrods or 925 much nicer.

Michael - You’ve been duped by Tudor! Tudor is on par with Longines, Hamilton, and Sinn. That is no slam on those brands, they are very well made watches at their price-point. However, Rolex seems to think they can charge twice the price. Therefore, Rolex does us dirty! It’s a cash grab for them. There is really nothing Rolex about Tudor, unlike the old Tudor. There are no Rolex crowns, cases, and handsets anymore, just massed produced components at twice the price of a Hamilton. You’re money would have been better spent on a handmade case from Grand Seiko, or even a proper chronometer from Omega.
But hey - enjoy the watch, please take it diving on a proper holiday. Abuse it like it’s meant to be used.
You have some pretty nice Rolex watches. Why would you go slumming with an uglyTudor? It makes no sense.
Personal preferences? And for some Rolex are just a jewelry brand. I would suggest getting of the Rolex bandwagon and enjoy watches because you like them and not only Rolex and nothing else. What makes no sense is you
