Or how coaching doesn’t matter, I’ve seen so many casuals say that🙄 social media rots so many people’s brains. We’re not hoops experts though but we have more common sense😂
I love Mike Brown loved being with the Warriors he respects the players of that team even when he's coaching another team, which he has taken to heights too. Gotta love Coach Brown for that.
Doc Rivers, fresh off eating a bowl of cigarettes and sandpaper. Brilliant idea, NBA. Been watching the game for 30 years and I still miss out how much of it is a chess match between coaches and players.
Man, the nba should have more of these coaches talking about atos and set plays where we can see how a cutter or a shooter gets wide open for an easy shot, without these coaches, most of us and the players wouldn't know much about x and o's
You gotta give props to players improvising as well based on how they read the D. Coaches give the initial orders but when something changes, them playmakers know what or whom to pass the ball to when the right time comes.
Kings been killing it running those similar screens as the warriors now that we have the shooting ability and the penetration speed of Fox. Heurter been particularly deadly catch and shoot off the screen. Love that back screen the Heat ran too, super smart play.
During the game: I dunno, give it to Embiid. He will figure it out. During the interview: So there is this carefully constructed plan to this, lemme explain...

Dumb ass comment. Every single point in bball is scored off a play. Either the coach calls the play or the player does. it just all happens so fast you don't see it. Especially if you are a casual.
Man I love this ! This is so cool ! Also can we just shout the nba for the improvement they made in hiring black coaches. 14 black head coaches as of right now in the nba. That’s impressive and as a black man am very happy to see 👑

1:58 This whole section is just classic Doc. Okay bro, you got your 7 foot center an open turnaround 3 from an awkward angle I don't think I've ever seen him take a 3 from, you're a genius. Ain't about Embiid hitting a ridiculous shot, nah, it's you. You did it. (this is great content btw, hope to see more stuff like this)
Got a question though. On Cleveland's double stagger screen, what happens if Detroit switch on the 1st screen set by Evan Mobley? Now, the guy guarding Garland isn't behind anymore which doesn't create 2v1 with the 5
Hello everyone ! I found this video really interesting.. Did anybody know where i can find more informations about offensive and defensive schemes ? Thank you 🙏
Not to mention he has been involved in every mess possible the last 10 years or so lol...deandre jordan being locked in some house till midnight, clippers-houston locker room fight or whatever, the ben simmons saga recently just to name a few...He should take a break seriously
@@deanvejnovic8188 The Sixers are still a train wreck with Ben out of the picture too. He's just holding the team hostage with his stale brand of basketball. He chokes in the playoffs every year when his rosters are considered to be good enough to "contend." He also cost the Magic a chance at acquiring Tim Duncan because he had some arbitrary rule about not allowing family member's on the team plane. The guy has been an arsonist everywhere he's gone.
It’s a pretty simple breakdown - gaggle curl to get separation for Poole, enter and split with the 5 to create a 2 on 1 screening situation. What else would you want him to say?

Several NBA coaches break down the Xs and Os of some great play calls from past seasons:

love how you can tell how much Spo is enjoying re-living that play - what a great coach
Really appreciate this type of content, nice to see the coaches' insight!
I love this! It was an education for me to see what they mean by high IQ players, there's a lot of different talents that go into a great NBA player.
We should have more of these! Reminds me of _Detail_ back in the day with Kobe.
@EMILY HOTXXX no one lol
Kobe??
Makes me sad, I wonder if Kobe wanted to coach in the NBA one day. Would've been a monster coach

Ty Lue giving doc the credit for the play, love how they all just take plays from different coaches/teams.

David Bailey was Austin Rivers’ high school coach (Winter Park). I was coaching at Montverde. Ty Lue is right, that play works lol

Can you do a video on the Chicago Sky and Coach Tspoons offense in the WNBA?
ik its random but its crazy how garza went from the pistons to the twolves😂

You have Garland attacking a big off the switch and if he draws help from Allen's man the lob is still there.
They don’t want to switch with Mobley - but you do raise a way of taking away this initial action.
Love this
