Who would have thought an NBA referee would tell a story about someone knocking down his trash cans and he hid in a garage to find out who it was then.
This interview is a big reason why I don’t watch sports as much or enthusiastically as I use to do. Every league is scripted/fixed to a point. It’s definitely not a conspiracy at this point. So many times we all seen blow ref calls on clearly foul/penalty plays. It’s sad we all spend time money, energy rooting for our teams and behind the scenes. The league has a narrative they want. Not saying it’s completely 100% scripted/fixed. Some team’s definitely disrupt things. But this interview sheds tons of light on all professional sports. Honestly I would luv retired umpires/officials/refs to tell their inside stories. I bet they have plenty to say about league higher ups wanting certain calls or outcomes.
‘Fans’ these days don’t really care about the actual sport anyway, so who cares? It’s all about the entertainment aspect for many like the betting and narratives, so how can anyone blame the leagues. Capitalism corrupts the soul of everything
Another thing is now fans have access to so much data. We can see statistical anomalies and say that's odd and it benefitted the Lakers... that's odd and it benefitted the Celtics etc. A team with the fewest shot attempts in the paint leading the league in free throws for example. A team winning 23% of their games with x official compared to 58% the rest of their games. What about how often series going 6 or 7 games happens compared to past decades.
Tim is a professional and many of these questions would have made the average person angry and blow up, but Tim answers these questions with class and good manners. Credit to Tim for handling the situations in this interview, in the past and in real life with professionalism. Great guy. Best of luck to him. He didn’t do anything worse than what all the other fixers or point shavers did and/or are doing now. He wasn’t a “bad apple.” There were and are a million bad apples shaving points and cheating or worse. Tim just happened to get caught. Idiots that don’t get caught think they aren’t criminals just because they didn’t get caught. They think they’re good citizens and look down on people like Tim and others that got caught when in fact they’re just as guilty but haven’t gotten caught. I have respect for people like Tim who take responsibility for what they did and don’t see it on the chin. I have zero respect for people who do criminal activity but say they are not criminals simply because they didn’t get caught. That’s so stupid and arrogant. That’s like killing someone and saying you’re not a murderer and not a criminal because they didn’t get caught
Well if u don’t have an official record of being a criminal u aren’t a criminal by definition . That’s why it isn’t about what u know it’s about what u can prove .
@@RealReelsRightHere “official” doesn’t mean anything. If you rape someone, you’re a rapist. If you kill Someone you’re a murderer. It Doesn’t matter if you can prove it “officially” or not. Officially is just a term labeled by society.
Some of our community hate on Vlad because he just stays exposing shit, but interviews like these are honestly the best, because his interviewees answer so honestly and straightforwardly that it helps clarify so many events we all witnessed and that affected us. Sheed was my favorite player for a long time and I knew he hated this man lol. It's refreshing to hear his viewpoints expressed so plainly and coherently. I felt the same way about his interview with Don Kirk, which was also incredible. The Yummy Sandifer story always shook me, so to see the eloquence, brilliance and emotion of Don Kirk expressing everything he did was honestly the best. I love what Vlad does, man, I say keep going.
This story was huge when it broke. Go look at the Kings vs Lakers playoff game in 2000 i believe. The calls in that game raised alot of eyebrows and later was proven to be fixxed for Lakers.
The lakers took 27 free throws in the 4th quarter of game 6 of the 2002 western conference finals vs the Kings. 27 free throws in the 4th quarter!!! The kings were up 3-2 in that series and the NBA wanted to prolong the series for more money. Whoever won this series was going to win the championship. The Nets were the eastern conference champs and in was a consensus that they had no chance versus either team. They eventually got swept by the Lakers in the NBA finals.
Open your eyes, he lies through his teeth. Half his story is probably true. I suspect it's the half that already came out during the investigation. The NBA made an example out of him and now he's telling his side of the story for a profit. Nothing more, nothing less. He threw away a prominent career for pnuts. There's more refs just like him in every sport that you can almost guarantee.
Its not rigged. Its human nature you expect steph to hit a three and if its short you might unintentionally give him the benefit of the doubt and call a foul or kobe is super aggressive so he draws contact more often and after u see it for awhile he gets the benefit of the whistle
Do a interview with stevin smith “headache” next I think that would be a great story vlad he was a very prominent basketball player in college that was suppose to be a number 1 pick in the draft. But he didn’t get drafted because he was busted by the FBI for fixing games. Netflix did a documentary on him.
Vlad I'm from Chicago and I believe everything he saying. I was told by a veteran officials in chicago standing outside the Chicago pro-am l. My friend Chuck Turner was standing next to me. This official told me VERBATIM " The NBA don't cheat, but they assign officials to games when they want a certain team to win, that why the Lakers beat the blazers because the NBA Wanted the Lakers in the finals .
Yea, Evan Turner and Iguodala mentioned it in a podcast. Refs can’t really fix games 100% of the time but they do have control of the momentum to make the favorite team win the game that’s why players would need to go harder to win and not just rely getting calls from the refs especially if the opposing team are more favored.
I’m disappointed on how Vlad described the “ Malice in The Palace “ . He made Artest the aggressor , when he was laying on the score table and a FANatic threw a drink on him .. Vlad and Adam22 are becoming part of the problem ..Salute to @ALLTHESMOKE

He said all right like wrapping up the video around around an hour 12 minutes, the video should’ve ended there, not just him bashing the poor guy, stating how much he fucked himself. And not only that, but throughout the entire interview, he would just chuckle at random points, where it was very insensitive, or would ask a question made for him to not look the best. No shit he did bad things but you conducted him for an interview for now let him share his story.
As a mffl it hurts knowing he stole a ring from dirk. Watching the season head to head and the playoff run everybody knew Dallas was getting a ring, just to lose a finals they were ahead on against a team they swept the season series against. They didn’t even try to hide the bogus calls that made that possible 😤
Had no Idea it was that easy to cheat. The owners make billions off of advertising. Billions off of ticket sales and concessions. Hundreds of millions from player fines.
NFL n NBA both are heavily rigged, the refs will dictate the game to lean on a certain side the entirety of the game 🤫
Does this explain why the refs didn't call pass interference against the Rams in their playoff game against the Saints a few years ago?
Now this is why people say that the NBA and NFL are planned. Because of things like this...calls that are or aren't called make or break games!
I didn’t watch full interviews but had to for this one !!

getting out of prison was a "fresh of breathe air" 🤣
That's how shook he was about being locked up...... definitely PTSD
I’m so glad someone else noticed this 😂
You had a big miss on an important question, which is player props for all players big or small. Did the league or Vegas dictate that ?
good point! i know this is the tip of the iceberg. the corruption/rigging goes deep.
What do you mean by player props?
@@AnHebrewChild player props are bets on a players stats like "passing yards" or "rushing yards per game".

This was CRAZY. Bill Burr was right. Great interview.
this interview was a fresh of breath air lol..good stuff.
My uncle retired FBI Agent Philip Scala had his case and indicted him and then later went on to write the forward to Tim's book.
Tim is still lying and he can’t blow up because the NBA would probably have him locked up or killed and dropped in the Gulf of Mexico
Well if u don’t have an official record of being a criminal u aren’t a criminal by definition . That’s why it isn’t about what u know it’s about what u can prove .
@@RealReelsRightHere “official” doesn’t mean anything. If you rape someone, you’re a rapist. If you kill
Someone you’re a murderer. It Doesn’t matter if you can prove it “officially” or not. Officially is just a term labeled by society.
A professional ? You mean the same guy who rigged calls against AI cuz they got their feelings hurt
I mean, hes not sitting there for free
ESPN sports bet ad just came up with Stephen a smith lmao how ironic
Bill Burr called it he's not the only referee guilty
EXCELLENT Interview!!!
He was just one of the few that got caught. Plenty more out there even to this day it’s obvious
Yup let’s talk about the 2016 nba finals as well 🦓
@@lstruggylol not the same 🙄
To date, this is probably my favourite Vlad interview! The questions were fantastic!
I LOVE this guys Honesty🙏🏾 Alot of people wouldn't admit the things he has said.
He's the Keefe D of the nba
@@ZeeZeeFaa 😂😂
he’s still not being completely open but he is pretty telling
i always love when vlad just talks to himself while his guest watches
Open your eyes, he lies through his teeth. Half his story is probably true. I suspect it's the half that already came out during the investigation. The NBA made an example out of him and now he's telling his side of the story for a profit. Nothing more, nothing less. He threw away a prominent career for pnuts. There's more refs just like him in every sport that you can almost guarantee.
I still don't understand why people purposely do things that are illegal and can ruin your life.
Tim you could be a great consultant on this for referees on the college and pro sports level. Identifying information and putting a stop to it all.
Yall call a foul on webber in a playoff game that was a bad call it was a clean block that was a bad call
I watch a lot of nba games and it’s clear as hell that it’s rigged. Certain players get looked after and it’s clear as daylight.
Its not rigged. Its human nature you expect steph to hit a three and if its short you might unintentionally give him the benefit of the doubt and call a foul or kobe is super aggressive so he draws contact more often and after u see it for awhile he gets the benefit of the whistle
Dope interview ! And dude said “hammer” 😂 I wasn’t expecting that lol
Do a interview with stevin smith “headache” next I think that would be a great story vlad he was a very prominent basketball player in college that was suppose to be a number 1 pick in the draft. But he didn’t get drafted because he was busted by the FBI for fixing games. Netflix did a documentary on him.
What's it's called on Netflix

Vlad I'm from Chicago and I believe everything he saying. I was told by a veteran officials in chicago standing outside the Chicago pro-am l. My friend Chuck Turner was standing next to me. This official told me VERBATIM " The NBA don't cheat, but they assign officials to games when they want a certain team to win, that why the Lakers beat the blazers because the NBA Wanted the Lakers in the finals .
🤯🤯
Yea, Evan Turner and Iguodala mentioned it in a podcast. Refs can’t really fix games 100% of the time but they do have control of the momentum to make the favorite team win the game that’s why players would need to go harder to win and not just rely getting calls from the refs especially if the opposing team are more favored.
Sounds like Kobe Bryant got a lot of help from the NBA
I’m disappointed on how Vlad described the “ Malice in The Palace “ . He made Artest the aggressor , when he was laying on the score table and a FANatic threw a drink on him .. Vlad and Adam22 are becoming part of the problem ..Salute to @ALLTHESMOKE
They are the problem support black platforms
Can’t be surprised. Vlad told y’all he’s a vulture
Vlad don’t know everything .. he be knowing his shit about some things .. but some stuff he be totally ignorant on .. he just be loud and wrong 🤣😂🤣

@@yung_dice203 i been following Vlad for a while .. he definitely has his moments when he’s extremely emotional and ignorant…he doesn’t apologize because he know he doesn’t have to because people still will faithfully still come to his platform. I really didn’t care for how he handled the Kyrie Irving situation either. But just like the white Jewish people shut your money off when you say something they don’t like .. we actually had the power to do the same to Vlad.. and we didn’t .. so who’s the blame?
So people spend their lives working out literally sacrificing so much time only for the game not to be in their hands?
Take a shot everytime Vlad says "OK"
This man horrible he don’t know what impact he played on people cause his actions.I’m from Detroit Michigan born & raised I knew our 2004 Piston Team was suppose to win atleast 1 more but what’s more messed up he played Steve Nash an the PHX suns on multiple finals appearances!
I HATED this dude for that. Seemed so obvious what was going on
2007 suns got screwed of a championship. The suns spurs series was definitely rigged
wen he said he knew wat the league wanted to call says a lot wow …
People forget David stern was a lawyer before he was nba commissioner tho. David knew what he was doing the whole time , and also knew how to get away with it smh . 🗣️💯
A+ interview!!! Everyone deserves second even third chances! You’re never too old to change or learn lessons. Sounds like he turned his bad choices into a positive situation in life.
A+ idea. I love the fact he owns up to it and wants to rebuild his life. He acknowledged his mistakes and stated every one of them. However interview wise, whoever conducted this interview sucked.
And as the former scumbag ref seemed to suggest. Everyone involved knew who was going to win or lose night in and night out. The whole thing is rigged. So if a team were to go 82 and 0. The owner still pockets billions. What a racket.
Why does the podcast host sound like AI? The voice and pauses are so weird 💀
And the constant repetition of him saying“Okay”. I have never been a fan of Vlad.
Vlad be sounding like a 2k GM interviewing you before the draft
He’s known not to bet on games he officiates but he trampled his self when he betted on the iverson game and called the Palming calls so he lied
Look at the most recent Super Bowl. 9ers -2 to KC, over/under fluctuated from 46.5 to 47.5. The final score landed right on 47. KC wins in OT by 3pts. What a coincidence?

Why does Vlad sound mechanical and robotic? I'm new to this channel.
Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Is that how he starts every sentence with 😅
Vlad said early in the video “that’s why I never gambled bc it’s set up against you” then late in the video “everyone gambles I’ve gambled” 🧐🤨

One of the reason I gave up wasting 4 hours of my life on any organized sport is what we are coming to realize in this interview….it’s all bullshit meant to sedate the average citizen.

That Rasheed Wallace story had me fucking dying lmao
This wasn't the only ref betting on games bit David Stern kept the names quiet 🤫
I’d rather see a tough low scoring game that’s back n forth than just a high scoring game
Vlad said "when it comes to betting on sports games" and I thought it was finna be a draft kings ad! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m gambler so for me this interview hit diff I couldn’t imagine how many folks who bet at the time on games he fix either where ruined & those who caught the fix and rose his wave even if he fixed 150games a season for 5yrs because mind you each team has 82games on schedule meaning there’s can be at least 2-15 games on every daily not including playoffs & you times that by 5 and if you went lite and bet 2,000 each game your look at 1.5millon just imagine how much money his co-defendants made
