- 4 long months and $30. Thats all it took to raise our thanksgiving turkey. It butchered at 19 pounds. What a wonderful experience, We will make this a tradition in years to come. Happy Thanksgiving!
Love it that you two aren't afraid of taking on new challenges as you undergo this new journey in life. Keep it up guys it's been really interesting to see the property come to life.
Thank you for showing us.
Zac & Ashlyn "Have a Great & Blessed Thanksgiving Day"!!🦃 It was awesome to watch the turkey butchering process, those turkeys were huge! I spent $125.00 and got a 20lb turkey free, but it doesn't compare to home raised. I cringe when the giblets were throwed away, lots of nutrition value. Diced up gizzard browned in skillet then added to gravie, yum yum! I also save necks, heart, gizzard, liver boil clean meat off bones you have a great chunky stock for amazing turkey noodle soup!! Stay Safe and Enjoy!!!! Great video!!!!
Great job! Happy Thanksgiving to you & all of our American neighbours!
thanks for the lesson, always nice to learn something new, have a wonderful day tommorrow.
Well that was the first time for me to see the turkey process. You made it very interesting. Thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely wife!
Happy Thanksgiving! Really good video Thank you 😊
thank you for showing the whole process on how to process your turkeys it is very informative and i enjoyed learning and would one day like to have a homestead and be able to do this too
first year raising chickens and turkeys, raised only 3 turkeys, but did them waaaaaaayyyyyy to early lol,! the smallest was 22 pounds, then 34, and 51 pounds! NEVER seen a 51 pound bird dressed before, they seem a little easier to dress than chickens because the body cavity is larger, but will do probably 10 next year and have them smaller!
Nice! We liked our 15lb turkeys. They were a great size for us
Those are some heavy turkeys
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️ so much for being thankful for and too think 🤔 food going on the table with you knowing exactly where the food comes from. Amazing..........

You do a good job. That's the way I do it, but without the kill cone. I do ducks the same way after hunting

Loved the video. Went out and nail a Wild Turkey 23ibs 14ozs. Everyone one ate till There Bellies couldn't hold any more.
This video was interesting! I have never seen turkeys killed that way. It seems a very humane way. Well done on your turkeys!
Hope they taste great!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thanks for taking up along on Turkey processing journey. Are you going to sell the remaining 9 Turkeys you processed?
We sold a few to the neighbor but we will probably hang on to the others! Happy thanksgiving!
We’re hoping to raise turkey in the future. I’m. It sure if we should slowly add new animals each year or to just go all in next year with meat chickens, turkey, AND pigs. 😊 it’s intimidating to think about but I kinda wanna do all three but maybe do a smaller number of each 😊. I love seeing other younger couples on a similar journey. ❤. god Bless! 😊
nice video, I subscribe to people like you, Gold Shaw Farm, and Hidden Spring Farm. Hope to see more videos in the future. Thanks
We recently started on a similar journey, working to restore/remodel generational farmhouse property and slowly starting to learn and get into raising our food eventually. I also enjoy similar channels, whether vlog or educational. Ours is more vlog type at the moment bc we just got our first laying chickens this past summer. 😊
I watched Sheraton park farms video and they said that they take way less time to cook than a supermarket one and to cook it by temperature and not by weight. I thought that was interesting.
HAVE A HAPPY T-DAY
Interesting
will you be going offgrid in the fucher
so talk to me about how long it actually took to process them? Is it like when you hang mini blinds in that the first one takes 20 minutes and the last one you do takes 30 seconds or was it basically the same amount of time for each turkey?
About the same for each. Probably 10 minutes a turkey
Where are you getting your turkeys from? Is it from around here?
We get our turkeys and chickens from Hoovers hatchery. I believe they are out of Iowa.
How many kilograms is your turkey, thank you for sharing this😮
16 lbs? Nice
Our biggest was 19lbs
Just wondering why you didn't keep a tom and a couple hens so you don't have to buy poults?
Maybe we will someday. We don’t eat a whole lot of Turkey outside of holiday dinners.
Do you sell them or all for you?
Sold a few, the rest for us!
Was it $30 per turkey to raise? Thanks
Yes it was!
More accurately $27
@@ThePasturedHomestead Thanks and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
@@markbrown2296 you as well!
I would pay double your amount for such a fresh turkey. It is so hard to find good poultry. Blessed Thanksgiving to your family.
