This winter had its challenges but even more successes. We can’t wait for the spring and summer seasons as we really dial in on our garden this year. For all of you that have a homestead I hope this year is full of abundance and for those of you that don’t own a homestead, I hope you have a wonderful spring!

I’m 65. I remember butchering 2 pigs a year at my grandparents house and processing many chickens and turkeys. She always had us come visit at butchering time and it was fascinating watching you butcher exactly the same way. So happy to have found your channel. ❤️

Your dedication to knowing where your food comes from and growing those food sources equally as ethical is refreshing. Clearly you love your animals ❤️
You wouldn’t know me if you walked past me on the street but I can honestly say that I’m really proud of all the hard work you both are putting in on the homestead. In the thick of it you may not always see the successes but they are definitely there. Your work ethic is remarkable and the work of your hands is being blessed. Well done!

You two have done so much in such a short time. Yes a lot of hard work, but worth it. Watching you from the beginning I’m in awe. Hopefully I’ll be able to join your members only soon. Keep up the great work! Your editing is awesome too!!!!!

Rosie’s calf is darling! Beautiful coop, too, and I like the idea of attaching it to the bedding pile - so smart! ❤

Hey there. (Wes - over at Fall Line Ridge) He's left his homestead since. He used to feed corn to his pigs and livestock. He firstly bought from farm shops, and then he went to FB Market place and bought huge (whole corn) bags for the cheap. He had a Vevor (Corn grinder). Vevor was supplying all of his heavy machinery. He did buy minerals from shop, but he cut his corn and feed costs down. He went 2 rounds with the piggies, first with 2 then he went to 6.
He had a large coop like yours and many laying chickens. Once he got past the hawk issues, the coop prospered. His piggy operation became a huge hassle and the highest cost to keep and feed. But when he sent them off to processing the whole family came away with a lot of food. Just a few food for thought observation from other "steaders."

Yay a new video! Now to get caught up on the last few I missed while in the hospital and the wifi was too slow to watch anything. This brings me joy to see all the stuff from the farm and has been something to look forward to even before but now even more. Tomorrow is not promised so hope everyone will live their best today and tell those you love how much you love them 🥰❤🙏

Why did you decide not to butcher the cow yourself? It does seem more difficult than a pig.

Wonderful. Kind reminder, you may not want to turn your eyes on the exponentially perilous times ahead in geopolitics. Trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior so you may be saved b/c the Jacob's Trouble, 70th week of Daniel, 7-yr Tribulation aka God's Wrath. 😊
