      Would you cover this verse
      Luke 12:41-47
      King James Version
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
      45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

It’s so sad that most people hate the simple gospel message. They’re always attacking the “simplicity in Christ”. Getting saved is so easy, but unfortunately the pride of man is always looking to save themselves, rejecting the free gift of grace in the process. It causes them to mix salvation and spiritual growth. Context matters!
    Ono nailed it once again!

Another point, we all sin willfully, so that would imply nobody is saved. It is not possible to repent for every sin you commit. There is grace through Christ. God calls us to turn away from sins, but in saving us he also know his people would still sin. Christ sacrafice carries forward onto future sins. But thats is to say we shouldnt use that as excuse, I feel obligated to repent when I sin because of my convictions against my own sins.

Reminds me of the scripture that says "There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death." Lots of people believe... Hey, if im a good person ill make it to heaven or, Hey I found a loop hole in James that says we have to do good works to be saved. Thats when most will point out faith without works is dead and believe in a whole doctrine just based on that paragraph of James. Its crazy cause Paul talks a WHOLE LOT about not depending on your works to save you, but believe & trust the one who can give you eternal life (Jesus). The issue here is that scripture needs to be understood as it relates to itself. He used a scripture that discusses that the Galatians were failing to persevere in their belief in the grace by which they were saved. That's it. And since those saying salvation can be lost want to go to scripture and say "gotcha," they have to do something with the scriptures that make it exceedingly clear that salvation cannot be lost for those truly saved. John 10:27-29; Hebrews 10:10; John 5:24; Jude 1:1; Jude 1:24-25; Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 7:25; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 4:30.... And for those who walk away from the faith - 1 John 2:19.

Salvation cannot be "lost", but it can be rejected, if someone who once was saved renounces their faith and turns from God, of which there are many examples given within the Bible.
"They were never saved in the first place" is not an argument based on evidence, it's a judgement made to support the claim of eternal security. If any man becomes an apostate, the only argument that allows eternal security to continue being true is to say that the person was never saved to begin with. And the evidence used to prove the argument is the same evidence used for eternal security. It doesn't stand on it's own.

Jesus Christ said, [John 10:27-28 ESV] 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

As one who became born again in 1995, let myself be carried away by different kinds of teachings like you can lose salvation, lived in anxiety and depression until recently through the power of the Holy Spirit and answered prayer I finally believed the simplicity of the gospel John 6:40 And my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. ( What a relief to finally believe and know you have everlasting life, the Israelites were wandering around the desert for 49 years before reaching the promised land, Moses was a murderer, king David committed adultery and murder, the Apostle Paul etc, etc, etc In all things God works for the good of those who love him, never will I leave you nor forsake you, God is true to his promises. Many people that hold the belief of “Once saved, always saved” use verse 28 to solidify their belief, but applying that verse is void of context without quoting verse 27 as well. As you can see, Jesus is talking about believers who hear His voice and follow Him. Would you say that if we are living in sin(willfully sinning with no repentance) as believers of Jesus Christ that we are still following Him, or are we following the world and the works of our flesh?

  • @richardmunro7207

Unsaved, simple. The problem is that people fail to rightly divide. They will read a verse like "they will never perish" and the a verse like "impossible to renew them to repentance" and mix them up together and taint the work Jesus did for us. I have been through the mill regarding my faith and also believed I can lose my salvation, I was a rigid mess, always in tears and nobody wanted to be around me. I judged people by their sins to make myself feel better until I realized something isn't right. Then one day someone told me that I should just read Paul's epistles (the words of Christ through the Apostle to the Gentiles). All of a sudden BOOM, the lights came on and I was free in an instant. I realized God is dispensing His Grace to all who believe that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again. Period. The motivation changed. I'm free, I'm saved and know without a doubt where I am going when I die because of who promised it to me. I've come to the conclusion that anyone who believes they can lose their salvation, has not trusted in Christ, because if they did, they would never believe they could lose the free gift God promises us through His Son. Besides, Catholics aren't Christians by the way. A Christian is a person's who trusts 100% in the Gospel alone. 1 Corinthians 15 VS 1-4. Nothing more nothing less. So simple, yet missed by the majority of professing Christians.

Now I have zero fear, zero doubt etc because I've placed my trust in what God has promised, not man's faulty philosophies. Here's a tip...anything with an ism at the end, run and do it fast. Remember Jesus basically in layman's terms told us that most people will never find the truth, making it scary that so few people actually trust in Christ alone for their salvation and sanctification and redemption which God tells us all happens when the Gospel is preached and believed (1 Corinthians 15 VS 1-4)

Notice that he's not using the KJ, based on the Textus Receptus; he's using a translation based on different manuscripts -- the Vaticanus and the Sinaiticus, which are founded on Catholic doctrine? So we have different Bibles. Mine says, "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law". Can the law justify? No! Paul is saying don't put yourself back underneath this yoke which cannot make you perfect. His translation says "severed" though. Two radically different connotations that we have here. If you're 'severed' then there is no grace! Full stop. You're in a contingent pact rather. This is perverting the Good News and making it bad news. If our justification can be revoked then we have no security whatsoever, and it also reflects bad on the Holy Spirit because the implication is he is powerless then to keep you! 2 Corinthians 1:22 and Ephesians 4:30 smashes this though.

At 5:14-33 you clearly failed to demonstrate that falling from grace (Gal. 5:4) does not equal loss of salvation. You merely made a statement saying that falling from grace is not equal to loss of salvation, without any textual or logical support for your assertion, even when the text itself is so simple and clear on its own. You also did not address how in Gal. 5:4 Saint Paul mentions that “we wait for the hope of righteousness”. In other words, justification is not a permanent guarantee given to us from the moment of our first encounter being saved.
Second, the primary area (the linchpin of the eternal security doctrine) where most believers of eternal security go wrong is your idea that salvation/justification is a PAST, one time event.
Salvation is not just a past event (Eph. 2:8-9) but also PRESENT (Philippians 2:12) and FUTURE (Rom. 13:11 and 1 Cor. 3:15; 5:5).
Another major blind side of eternal security proponents is that your doctrine of eternal security stems not from exegetical argument but rather from theological premises for which you distort the Scriptural texts to fit your flawed premises.
For instance, advocates of eternal security often argue that God saves people to bring himself glory and say a person losing salvation would represent divine failure. When in fact, the salvation and loss of souls (unrepentant) BOTH bring God glory.
Another false premise is that if God is the perfect Savior, if he is omnipotent, then he should be able to save those he chooses, He cannot fail. However, this begs the question of whether God intends to bring everyone who experiences initial salvation to final salvation.
If God intends to allow people who experience initial salvation to freely choose to change their mind, to return to sin, and to fall from grace, then such people do not represent divine failure.
Further, the only time where “faith alone” is mentioned side by side in Scripture is from James 2:17, which actually warns against the false 'faith alone' doctrine.
Lastly, even if faith alone were the true doctrine, that still doesn’t mean we cannot lose our salvation because Our Blessed Jesus Himself warned us to remain obedient in faith and in His commands or else we, the branches (believers), would be broken off, and Christ Himself said He would deny us if we denied Him, and Christ Himself warned that those who believe in Him yet who were disobedient would NOT be saved (Matthew 7:21; 10:33; 18:35), and even we will not be forgiven if we fail to forgive others!
There are so many more logical gaps in your video and unbiblical doctrine.
Btw, I was a Bible Only (non-denominational) Christian from 2018 to 2022 Feb. I became a Catholic because it is the only Church which was established by Christ Jesus Himself. Read and learn from the Catholic Church how this is so. But here’s a brief explanation to aid your search: in John 20:23 Our Lord Jesus gave the Church (through His Apostles) the command to forgive sins of anybody. And only the Catholic Church continues this command to forgive sins because all of our priests and bishops are successors of the first priests and bishops the Apostles. And that power to forgive sins was passed into succeeding bishops and priests beginning with the Apostles who ordained new bishops and priests to continue forgiving sins after they (the Apostles) died. This is known as Apostolic succession, which Saint Paul talks about in the pastoral books of Timothy and Titus.
P.S. Oh yes, the Catholic Church is not a denomination of Christianity, it is pre-denominational.
    God bless.

We are saved by grace through faith. Grace draws us to God and we are all given a measure of faith so we can be saved. After salvation we inter into relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We maintain that relationship by being a new creature and repenting ( turning from sin). If we choose to sin then we are rejecting God. We are actually walking away from God when we choose sin over God. 2 Timothy 3:5. If we do not turn away from sin we are denying that God has the power to help us stop sinning. We are literally belittling God by our actions of choosing to sin while claiming to be a child of God.

In Galatians, Paul is echoing the thought presented in Hebrews 6 and 10 where, if they went back to the OT sacrificial system, there was no more sacrifice for sins. Here Paul is approaching the issue from the point of view of the law. The result is the same. Whether a believer goes back to trying to be saved by keeping the law or by going back to the OT sacrificial system, they are going down a path of hopelessness.
Hebrews tells us that Christ offered one sacrifice for sin forever. Roman tells us that we are justified freely by his grace and we receive the gift of Christ's righteousness (Halleluiah!). If I go any other way, I will frustrate the grace of God n my life. No matter how good I try to be, I will never know if it is good enough.

You have a free will choice to continue to walk / live in agreement in YAHWEH'S WORD with obedience. Its our responsibility on earth as Kingdom Citizens of the Most High. That is a better way of saying once saved always saved, because people are leaving out the requirement and no longer teaching the requirement of "Obedience"! 🔥🔥🔥🙏 Shalom.

John 3:7 "marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.".
I John 3:9 "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.".
The issue at hand is eternal security. One must know that one has been born again in the first place, by the grace of God. Ephesians 2:8&9. 8"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.".

John 1:13) “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
    Eph 1:7 / Acts 10:43 / Eph 1:13 & 4:30 /
Salvation is a free gift, no maintenance, no earning of favor, and once given it cannot be taken away. Ephesians 4:30) "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."- if we do grieve Him we just confess and we are cleansed. The Father doesn't disown the wayward child, but like the prodigal son the goodness of God leads us to repentance and cleansing - When did the prodigal son cease to be a son of the Father?
Salvation is NOT by works, NOT by righteous works, NOT by deeds of the law, and NOT by sight. But by Faith alone, through Grace alone, by Jesus Christ who is God alone -
    Titus 3:5 / Ephesians 2:8-9 / Galatians 2:16 / 2 Corinthians 5:7 / Romans 1:17 / Romans 6:14 / Hebrews 10:38.
Romans 10:9-10) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
After believing and repenting you are sealed/saved, then because of your love for Christ you want to follow Him. Ephesians 1:13 and Ephesians 4:30 - It's not because you have to but because you want to.
Any idea of self merit affecting salvation in earning to gain, maintaining to keep, or self atonement for sins is heresy and the person is not saved. The same goes for believing that Baptism saves, forgives, or seals with the Spirit - it's still a belief in a form of righteous works that affects salvation - this is heresy too. It's all through Christ's merit on the Cross and His Resurrection, or else through attempting in your own merit you earn Hell.
And this Salvation can never be lost or taken away - Romans 8:1 no condemnation unto those in Christ. Any sin after that brings chastisement, not disowning or a casting away. John 15:1-6 is paired with 1Cor 5:1-5 / Psalm 66:18 / Prov 28:9 / James 1:6-7 nowhere does it relate to losing salvation or having it being taken away.
James 2 is not talking about works to keep your salvation, but rather it's talking to Christians already saved, and it's talking about charity and Christian behavior for promotion of the faith, not maintenance of salvation. If James is talking about maintaining salvation then Apostle Paul is a liar.
Matthew 24 is speaking about the end of days and the trials and tribulations that will occur. "endure to the end" is in reference to the Great Tribulation, as it is a limited time and will soon be over and those under persecution will be saved from the oppression. It is not a salvationary passage, Christ is not talking about salvation but rather persecution. It's the same context as the other passage that says how a woman will be saved in child bearing - talking about the pains and troubles.
Hebrews 6:4-6 and 10:26 is speaking about the unsaved falling away (rejecting) enlightenment, the knowledge of , the taste of salvation - they had not yet taken hold. This does not relate to the saved giving up or losing salvation as many think. Losing Salvation, or it being taken away, given up - denotes a working to keep it. But it's not by works or righteous works, deeds of the law, or by sight. It's by Grace alone through Faith alone.
Matthew 7:21-23) "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
Nowhere do they say "have we not believed on thy name?". They were trusting in their works, righteous works, and law keeping. They were depending on religiosity and Christian behavior to earn their salvation like all the cults do.
    Salvation is purely by grace through faith by belief alone - Eph 2:8-9 / Titus 3:5 / Gal 2:16 / Romans 10:9-10 / Acts 16:30-31 / Eph 1:7&13 / 1 John 5:13 / John 3:16 / John 3:3 / Mark 1:15
Furthermore, what is “the will of my Father”? As we see in John 6 -
John 6:28-29) "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."
John 6:39-40) “And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Doing the will of the Father is not doing works, keeping commandments, or law keeping, but is believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation.
We are not called to the will of works, but are called to believing faith. Now true believing faith will produce fruit of works but it’s not the works that inherit salvation. The reason that Christ says “I never knew you” is because the people were focusing on the religion and not the faith. They thought the religion was the faith, but true believing faith will produce “pure religion undefiled”.
Misconstruing religiosity with faith by grace leads to damnation, and this is the ultimate work of Satan to cause a misfocus within the Churches - preaching from the pulpit to create multitudes of religious damned who think themselves to be the very children of God.

    Got it.
"Fall from grace" = "rendering grace ineffectual in sanctification"
Weren't these Galatians "saved / justified by faith"? But they want to give their faith in Christ up and replace it with the Law. So, do they no longer have faith in Christ? Did they "forfeit" their justification? Hmmm...

Are you maybe talking about Hebrews 10:26?
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth *no more sacrifice for sins,*
You can do a lot of crazy things with scripture if you cherrypick one verse without looking at context. If he thinks this verse is about you having and then losing eternal life, and not rather about Jesus making ONE sacrifice for sins forever (verse 12) so that *no more* sacrificing *needs to be done* to justify us...
      Then also ask him if he thinks verse 18 just a little further up is talking about salvation being lost then (pay attention to the almost identical wording in vs 18), because it's obviously not haha;
      16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, *there is no more offering for sin.*
      You see what I mean?

@@bryguy8203 I don't know if it is better. "If truly saved, always saved" leaves a confusing qualifier in "truly" saved. You're saved or you aren't. But more than that, it leaves things open for a silly Calvinist idea of "unconditional election", that a tiny few pre-chosen out of all humanity never at any time had any danger or chance of hell, just "always saved", (and the rest always unchangably damned) practically speaking. Maybe I'm being picky, but I want to be super clear with the gospel. ONCE you believe on Christ alone and are saved, you are from that point on always going to have that salvation.

Paul says their severed from Christ "if", they are back under the law. And that if you are under the Law to obtain righteousness, then you are not under grace. So, Pau "warns" the Galatians, to not go back to earning their salvation by the law, but to continue in grace. Less they fall completely away into hell. Now for what I know about Catholic dogma. They preach and teach to keep the law and commandments to be righteous. Am I wrong?

That is true, if you proclaim once saved forever, you better keep a close relationship with Jesus daily! That way you will be saved forever, affirming once you are saved you are saved forever might lead weak believers to sin voluntarily, I wonder if you sin voluntarily after having received the gospel and blessings of God, you would be saved forever, will you?

  • @Roger-r7s

Backsliding and reprobation of the saved believer is a possibility now when Paul talks about falling from grace and being cut off from Christ, it means that the vital life bearing fruitful relationship with Christ in the walk of faith in the Spirit has been broken temporarily but not permanently as God will heal and restore even a reprobate backslider. The thing that must be understood is that there is no sin so powerful and deadly that God cannot forgive and cleanse a true born of the Spirit child of God, however believers can and do sometimes through a pattern of sin habituation break off their vital life quickening relationship with Christ and can walk by the flesh and in spiritual darkness, in which case they will not be fruitful or well pleasing in their walk with God. It does not mean that they have lost eternal life salvation or are no longer God's begotten of the Spirit by faith children. The one possible exception is the unforgiveable sin but what must be understood is that the only sin that is unforgiveable which is the blasphemy against the holy Spirit is impossible for any saved believer even a reprobate one to commit. It is to be born of the seed of the serpent and to be a child of hell or perdition, to confess the devil as father and worship him as god. The seed of the serpent child of hell will blaspheme, speak evil of the holy and true God and also the true church of his house and family.
