Fun fact: This theme returns as the base for the percussion portion of In Amber Clad in Halo 2, if you search for "in amber clad percussion" you'll notice how familiar both themes sound (The Lost Muse has a slower tempo so it won't sound identical at first, if you run both themes in Audacity, delete the silence at the beginning and increase the tempo of Lost Muse by 2 then the whole beginning part fits)
No words. Thank you man I've been searching that track since 2001. The atmosphere... Never saw it again in any game. The specops, and the two corpse in a room with Hunters. MASTERPIECE.
Same like when you use the active camo and get to explore the room with the hunters and wonder what happened to those poor marines. The music gives off a sort of mystery and sorrow to the atmosphere when entering the room.
Blue SCP. Those marines... away from “home”.. entire colonies wiped out... Reach, glassed and wiped out... They escape and crashland on an unknown ring planet.. they set up base and fight a seemingly unstoppable alien force in the snow.. both of them out numbered, they retreat into one of the compounds, removed from their unit. Eventually never to be seen again. I can almost feel their fear of getting slaughtered by hunters. Just another bunch of dead greenhorns.
