The Ashen Hunter ODSTs are the most badass military units ever. I mean holy fuck, getting in a metal can so you can drop from space, through the atmosphere, and land in the middle of a firefight to kick some Innie and Covenant ass. Two times John-117 has killed ODST actually. First time was after augmentations, the ODST come in to the gym (Or something like that) and called him a freak. John kicks their asses. I think that's the UNSC Atlas story. Another time is after getting the MJOLNIR armor and Cortana, he is sent to a training course with mine-fields and all. The ODST were never supposed to be on the field at that time, they weren't sent in by Ackerson to kill the Chief. They also sent a Hornet which got fucked up.
What a dumb piece of dialogue. Halo 3 ODST literally starts with your squads original orders being changed right as you are dropping. And dare going on a secret mission to find Virgil without telling the rest of the squad. Wasn’t point and shoot at all
@@AustinH7 I think that was a special case since dare was there... I haven't played the game in a while, but I don't think Buck liked the whole "Secret mission" thing, and would rather just kill baddies... I I think that most of the missions are just point and shoot though... backup and stuff like that...
@@AustinH7What a dumb comment. What we saw happen in the ODST game was OBVIOUSLY NOT a typical standard mission. The entire time Buck was constantly complaining about the fact that this isn't how they normally operate. ODST's get better music than the Spartans. Seems like the Spartans don't need the adrenaline rush that the average human needs to dispatch an enemy... Buck is better in my book than John-117(even though he killed 3 ODST's and mortally wounded a fourth)
The reason why Halo music is awesome are these four reasons: 1. Dignified 2. Dipped in mysterious sounds 3. Has a familiar orchestral core 4. lightly uses modern sounds to balance it out.
Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST had this thing with music where they crammed in different parts of the soundtrack into one track, and I wasn't the biggest fan of it, much like the point in which More Than His Share (Become the Hunted) plays during Bucks fight with Hunters in Tayari Plaza, and the kickass theme The Menagerie (On The Prowl) that plays in the Uplift Reserve while attempting to escape the park into the breach of the city. Wish I would've known about the actual names sooner, cuz it would've saved me a lot of time.
@@Void_Wars I played all MCC games for the first time last month (except for CE, played that one as a kid) and imo ODST was the best one out of them all. Reach was second. No nostalgia attached, I actually thought CE was the worst one.

Although ODSTs are awesome, four of them got fucked by one spartan.
And anthony, ODSTs have the same augmentation as SP IIIs only that it's weaker but easier to manufacture.
