Now imagine that 'society', spread out so vast, that it's hardly possible to even meet one and another. It would take hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years before a 'safe' new 'colony' is established built within and upon and from the ruins of that former thriving world, of which tech is no longer understood, abandoned, and even forbidden perhaps, for it too to get destroyed for resources or for 'beliefs', and a belief, a religion starts. with a lifespan, perhaps genetically altered, to be 100 to 150 years, but the limited genetic diversity causing new 'sicknesses' and weaknesses to drop life expectancy significantly. For a game where you run around as a homicidal killing machine mowing down aliens, it's surprising to find such a chill and peaceful track in the OST.
Xenocidal killing machine, homicide is specifically the killing of a human.
it's proof of the caliber of game that Halo was, it's not a mindless rip and tear bloodfest, it's uniquely Halo. No other game has come close since.
