In a galaxy far, far away.. lies the WinterStrom nebula! 😂 I think that is so very cool, Jessica. You developed a number of air pockets that simply popped when torching it. The torch alone cannot produce bubbles. The effect is quite stunning, though. ❤
Sure. That’s what I was thinking. The big guys are obvious but the teeny tiny ones in the end made me think. You don’t even see them before you torch, they pop and hundreds new ones appear. That was new to me
A good way to warm up your paint without worry is to fill up a baking pan or some other type of container about an inch with warm water and then set the paints (capped, of course) in the water for a few minutes. This makes me want to show you the piece I did the other day; these two could be siblings, lol! Thank you so much for all of the information you give during your pours. It really helps those of us who AREN'T Jessica Winterstrom to figure out how to get the best outcomes.
RIP Beautiful Palette Knife. Having done all of ONE of these, now, I can definitely vouch for the bubble issue. If you need more practice, I need 43 more lifetimes. LOL. I love watching you do these though, and I'm trying to get back to watching people more again. Not to mention, I just miss ya. These colors are the Bomb Diggity!
Have a nice weekend, my Dear.
Das ist so lieb von dir. Manchmal ist es schwierig für mich es neutral zu betrachten und manchmal bin ich viel zu neutral. Naja… Hauptsache Spaß, nicht wahr?!
Oh yes, I learned early on how easy it is to burn pillow paint w a torch. I still hate bubbles! I think warming up paints helps. Of course, I still get bubbles in summer... Thanks J!
With this one the use of the torch works really well. I commented on your live video from last week that I thought the torch created the bubbles in my experience. It looks really cool in this one. If you go for the galaxy feel this is it. I don't know what mixing cups you use but I threw away the ones that are not completely smooth inside. Bubbles will appear more easily in the ones that has those tiny ridges inside.
Jess- I mix my primary element powders in a sm amt of polycrylic and then add GEL MEDIUM. A small amount... Slowly and make a thick slurry . The polycrylic and gel medium breakdown the primary elements best w a little water added to the above concoction. Some powders need more binder. The polycrylic works as such. The gel gloss medium really works well for me. Lmk .
So enjoyed watching this pour and it turned out so cool! Think maybe you are right about the torch, but wow! Thank you for all your inspiration. Would you mind telling me what you do to finish your paintings? Do you resin or varnish? If you varnish, what brand do you suggest? Thanks in advance.
I wanted to ask about the paint thickness. It’s very cold here as well and my paints get so dang thick. I add varnish but it doesn’t seem to work and I don’t want to add water. In fact I’ve used so much varnish, it’s dulled the colors. You had mentioned a heating pad - has that worked for you? Thanks for sharing your very beautiful art, Jessica.
I had success warming the paints up. Be careful though, warm them slow and not too hot. Just a few degrees does the difference. A water bath or just storing them in a warmer room helps too
Jess how long do you let the black coat and activator sit after u mix them? Add a little water and it will help pop your bubbles. Let them sit open to air. My theory is your paints are too bubbly. Bubbles!
I made a big mistake. I got a gallon of semi-gloss, deep base, and I had them put a little white in it. BIG MISTAKE. All the paint does is bleed all of my colors. Is there any hope for this gallon? Or do I need to buy another gallon with no white? It is Valspar Signature brand. Anyone??? help??!!!
I’m not familiar with valspar. You can use it for colors that have white in them. Use it for pastelly colors like baby blue or pink. You can mix it with a magenta to get a pink or a blue/green to make a teal color.
Just amazing after spinning. Love how those colors just pop. Recht herzlichen dank.
Still love how you balance intention and exploration, process and spontaneity ❤🎉
Love that you’re encouraging and embracing the bubbles . Fresh way to use an old problem.
This is SO gorgeous! Magic! And I love seeing your joy when you are in “discovery” mode. 🥰
Your art amazes. Yes I'm so addicted to all the work you do ! Always waiting 3the next.
As you explore your technique, we learn! Thanks for these great videos... much love
Thanks so much! ❤️
Jessica, Another beautiful painting! I love how it turned out. You nailed it 😊
Thats Astonishing xx
To me it looks nothing like stars, I see a figure wearing a lion's mask. Marvelous!
You have to admit it is amazingly beautiful and stunning. Thanks for sharing

Really cool Jessica 😍
Absolutely phenomenal outstanding hide&reveal pouring. The neon colors are definitely „the burner“. Great job Jessica👍🏻⭐️🙂
This is so cool! Love the stars. Thanks for always sharing. Now i have to use your spinner to try it. ❤
Haha! Have fun! Thank you

And yes the torch pops bubbles...actually draws them to the surface , where they pop.
Using fire to create besuty is magical! I started w Raku.
Live RAKU! I did it once and it was so fascinating.
@@WinterStromArt me too! I really am trying to do a raku inspired pour.

I really really like this one! Yes,the torch does make them litter like pin holes. I love it

Beautiful. I see a lions head and a little eye of something behind and up on the left from the lion head.
Cowabanga girl. Cellalicious. I think the touch pops more bubbles that become cells.
Love it, I see a profile of a lion w a crown. Love ur style. So patient and chill.
It looks like a dog with it's tongue out! Name it the Dog Star!
Hehe! Love that
I agree completely about the torch effect! ❤
Didn't you use white on black paint for your swipes on the one you were trying to recreate? The piece is still gorgeous!
I don’t think so.
Thanks for the reassurance 🩷
I Love it

Bubbles!
I let them sit for at least a night. No bubbles to be seen at all.
question i have 2 potters wheels, 💛👍👐🙌👏 But how do i get or make the wood arms you spin with please
Hmm, you have to built some kind of contraption that sits on uouff er wheel. I build by spinners myself. I could help you out. Just send me an email
Du bist einfach süß und du kannst Kunst.
Looks like a cat🤠

Pretty but too dark
