Hello my friend! I started painting a few years ago when I discovered acrylic pours on RUclips. I somehow sold all the ones I did (that blew me away!) and then started experimenting with painting regular subjects. Really fun to see you do this pour - I love the fire colours. I actually watched the painting that you turned this into before watching this, so glad to see how that got started! I love watching you work! Have a great week. Hugs from Canada!
@Lydia Broderick Art Agreed! HUGE mess. 🤦♀️ Which is why I haven't done any for a couple of years! But forva long time I had been wondering whether I could do something on top of an acrylic pour (nothing nearly so ambitious as yours) and watching yours has made me think about that possibility again. Won't happen anytime soon!
The original pour was beautiful. Then to turn that into the portrait is amazing. I'd be happy with the paint pour alone. That's enough problems as it is. Again, beautiful work.
I just found your channel. I love what you did with this pour and your thorough instructions. I also love the base coat. I'm quite new at pouring and beginning to better understand the importance of the basecoat. I like using it as my free space with colors such aa you used, anything but white for a basecoat for me! Thank you for your post - it's wonderful.
Nicely done. I too, love the purple mixed in with the black. Your finished painting with the woman is one of the most stunning works of art I've seen. She is so compelling and lovely.
This is so wonderful Lydia. I may become as addicted to your videos as I am to Karen (who kindly directed me to you) of Waterfall Acrylics. Thank you for your generous guidance.
Love this Lydia!! You control all of the elements so masterfully :) I like this style of video: going in-depth about pours, and how the process works in your art, is really fascinating! Love you Lydia
Omg. Had sooooo much fun. I buggared up a couple of things the main thing was I knocked the black mix over and on the floor and everything in between. I decided to use half of what you said because I was making a couple of small ones, thank God I did because I think my husband wouldn't have been impressed. That's the story I sold to him😂😂😂. I noticed you having big squirter bottles. Can you make them up and give a good shake when you are going to use them or do you make them up on the day. P
Hi Vicki! I'm glad you had fun! I make up the big squirt bottles ahead of time. As long as they have caps, you can shake them up as you need them and they last for a good while. You may need to add a little water if it's been a bit because they may thicken a little over time. I usually pre-mix the colors I use a lot.😊
That shit is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Amazing as usual. Love the tutorial, makes me think i could actually do that. Lol. Not even gonna try lol. Keep the awesome work and videos coming love it❤🥰
Must have Subscribed after this one...I had seen what you did with it later. Had you taken an anti-anxiety drug or something? 🤣🤩 Never have seen you so calm and reserved. It had to be killing you. I am glad I have seen you unleash the beast. The "beast" takes your genius to a magnificent place most artists can only dream of.
Why don't you use the paint consistency guage sheet so we can really see the consistency of your paint. No one can tell by looking at your paint !!! And which Floetrol Ausi, or American.
5 am just finished my coffee and you’ve got me ready to set up and start pouring. Damn!
Thanks for inspiring this 70 year old fella. Looks amazing.
BTW, I love how you talked us through the process. You are an amazing artist and I love learning the way you work! Thank you

Thanks Janina! Yeah! Acrylic pours are fun to do! I like the color play. The mess isn't always my favorite thing though. ❤

Could I blow through a straw instead of blow dryer. Even at low my blower seem too powerful. You probably have figured it out I am a beginner
