I had to keep reminding myself, trust the process.... Because halfway through it was not apparent it would reach the chameleon result. Then BOOM! Process works! Thank you so much for sharing & showing us the whole process. Inspiring and stunning!! I'm going to try one myself thanks to you and this video.
I tried working with this technique for a couple of years with so so results. You introduced me to a whole new technique that has made all the difference. It's fantastic and so creative. Thank you for your sharing your talent.
It is such a perfect representation of society. We are all one cell...each one different in our own way but all play a integral part in the bigger picture, some beautiful..some, not so much.
Thanks, George and Tatiana, for bringing up issues that affect us who like to mull our own colors - that the smallest particle size pigments are much more difficult to mull into paint, especially just using a glass muller and not a professional and very expensive three roller mill. It really is counterintuitive. The differences you are showing using Lead White, Velazquez Medium, and Titanium White are very instructive and quite amazing. I would never have thought to use Velazquez Medium as a white until seeing your video tonight!
So etwas habe ich noch nie zuvor gesehen! Es ist schwer, die richtigen Worte zu finden, aber ich versuche es: großartig, wunderschön, phänomenal! Danke, dass du deine Kunst mit uns teilst!❤
Oh Johnny, My Johnny! You are freakishly amazing! I love your art, and I oh so much love the way you talk to us! Ive been in a dark place for days, and you, my friend, have shone a light😂 Thank you!!! 🌺
I swear if a painting could've jumped out and literally grab my complete visual attention, this certainly did! Big time 😮, brilliant, magnificent and sensational 🏆👏👏👏👏🥰🇭🇲
5:27 it would be awesome if you had a paper lined table because that paint that came off of the canvas in the circle form is also very cool looking! You could sell those to us paper lovers!
I want to try this- please tell me what is FLO-TROL & what is PENETROL ⁉️😭 AND I AM GOING TO BUY ACRYLIC PAINT FROM THE STORE, DO I THIN THAT OUT WITH H²O AND THEN WHAT IS THE PERCENTAGE ??? - AND THEN WHERE DO YOU GET COCONUT OIL TO DIP THE TOOTH-PICKS IN ?? ⁉️⁉️⁉️ 👉 I've already bought the CANVAS + the TOOTH-PICKS, I JUST NEED WHAT'S LEFT, AND I DIDN'T HAVE A SPINNING THING YET EITHER. - THANK YOU VERY MUCH ‼️✅👍🙏
For years I thought of this as crafting, not true art. But I take it back now. It requires the same planning, reasoning, anticipation and decision making as when I paint. And the results are often stunning.
Johnny, I just did this on a 6x6 tile. Wanted to see if i could make it happen. I used some of my favorite colors and threw in a couple metallic colors. On top I used some dribbles of pearlized gold from Liqutex and a couple drops of 24K from DecoArt. So far, it's amazing. Each cell is surrounded by gold lines. I just squirted the paint on the tile. I didn't have a toothpick so being a woodcarving too, I carved one from a popsicle stick.. I also used silicone oil as my oil. I'm really excited about how it is going dry.
Thanks! Not sure how I happened upon this, but it gave me a sweet memory of my godmother Sweetie. She always had a dish on her coffee table filled with assorted ribbon candy. It reminds me of the "old lady candy".🍬❣
Yes, this is so beautiful. I am an inspiring artis, love pouring art and other creative art painting. I am having a hard time applying my talent. Hope to have more faith and courage to be that art person like you. Thank you for all your beautiful paintings.
This looks like so much fun. Can I come over and play? I don’t wanna mess up my house of course lol no I’m really gonna try this not that I have an artistic bone in my body.
love how the implications are that physics has built in attributes that lead to hex shapes here, perhaps part of why beehive cavities are hex shaped...
I had the same question about whether JMo used the hair serum or penetrol in this video. I checked that section of the transcript, and it says he used only penetrol. Guess I'll have to get some. Such a unique technique.
This is absolutely amazing ! I was introduced to paint pouring when covid started and I tried it once and have been doing it ever since .. but I never knew you could use coconut oil . I definitely am going to try this . Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of art .
@@JMoPainting thank you ! I went to walmart to see of I could find that brand but I had no luck . did not check target yet so definitely will check there next..
Hi my Rae from Queenland Australia. I love your chameleon pours, I have a bunch of them myself. I love check-in and seeing what your doing. Your a inspiration.
How long have you been doing paint pours?... and what was your inspiration? They are beautiful!.. Doing pours and spending time being creative are the best ways that I've found where I can release and are actually very therapeutic for me, personally.. I absolutely love art!..
Been thinking about you for a couple days. I believe you should get a dog or bird. I hope you have faith. You have given me lots of smiles. I have learned so much from you. Hugs from Northern Michigan.
beautiful! You mentioned Penetrol in the video, then your screen said Coconut hair serum, which did you use? I tried the exact technique with Coconut hair serum with almost zero cell action, can't figure out why.
What brand of penetrol do you use, and where do you get it? Your stuff is amazing and you have such a soothing voice when you teach and describe what you're doing!
This looks so cool. It's not my favourite style when it comes to fluid art but it is very beautiful. I just found you on Instagram, and I swear I lost like an hour just staring at all your beautiful paintings the other day! 😂 I have just started learning this stuff, so I am soaking up all the inspiration I can! Lots of love from the UK x 😊
Dear Friend, what a wonderful expression, your conversation with colors, and this "droplets" technique, fascinating!!! We can see several stories within each one of them, I loved it, I am impacted by all your work, but this piece enchanted me and I fell in love, my sincere congratulations. Looks like the cross section of hundreds of Jawbreakers. Absolutely stunning!!!
It does! Thank you so much!!
@@JMoPaintingif I’m being honest, I liked it before you put the dots. It looked so beautiful!!! Good job though!!!
I can't believe all of the colors that came through in the cells, this is beautiful.

WOW!!! Gorgeous piece of art. I'm a color person & the more color diversity the better.

What a great technique I’ve not seen this created before but I have seen artists do it , just didn’t know how
The mosaic cells are mesmerizing!💜
For years I thought of this as crafting, not true art. But I take it back now. It requires the same planning, reasoning, anticipation and decision making as when I paint. And the results are often stunning.
crafting is a form of art
The outside of the area table spills are amazing and would make an awesome canvas!!!
I may have said this before but…. You are like the Bob Ross of pour painting for me 😊
It's really beautiful. I love watching you. Very relaxing and informative.
I was scrolling on utube and saw this painting. And I knew it was you how cool is that.! Thank you
Another gorgeous piece, JMo! Great cells! Have an amazing weekend!
So rad, I love it!
You should put canvas fabric under the wheel and create art with excess paint. That circle looks really cool too!
It looks beautiful!!
It reminds me of a bunch of opal rocks on display.
Very stunning!!!

At 1:20 he said Penetrol.
Right. Then the printed words said the hair serum. So I was wondering the same thing. It’s so beautiful!

What is Penetrol? Don’t see it on your supply list but LOVE the results!!’
Wondered the same thing.
It is the same thing as floetrol except it is intended for oil based paint.
I could use this piece for meditation! I could just stare at one cell at a time for a single meditation. Very nice art. Beautiful result.
Super cool! Love making controlled, more interesting 🌈 cells!
Wow it’s absolutely gorgeous such amazing colours underneath the cells when it’s open wider
This is beautiful. I am excited to try this
