    I'm a painter with a degree in coatings and paint. I had been laid off because of the COVID. I took up acrylic paint pour because I love to paint even though it was quite different from painting an airplane. I watched some good artists how they mix the paint and just didn't get the same results even when following their instructions to the very last detail. I've done several experiments and I'm getting better. Your explanation of the color theory and consistency is spot on and I can understand now layering my paint. You are the first I've came across that explains things correctly and isn't making up stuff because they don't know and there stuff turns out amazing anyway. I will subscribe to your channel.

      Red + yellow=orange
      Yellow+blue=green
      Blue + Red= purple
      Mixing adjacent primary colors gives us the secondary colors.
      If you create a wheel with three primary colors equidistance apart you can see where the secondary colors are on the lwheel. Colors directly opposite from each other you are looking at complimentary colors which create gray (true primary colors to start) .
      .millions of colors can be created using just these primary colors.
      But remember, the rules are totally different for digital color changes.

    This tutorial has been very informative about how to the separate color wheel colors by adding white in between the warm colors and black in the darker values paint. Thank you very much. I have a question. Was the quite great amount of floetrol into the blue color responsible for the many cells in your panting?

    • @zlatarabinovich
      @zlatarabinovich  9 месяцев назад

      It easily could be the factor. Just be careful, if you will put too much of Floetrol it may mess up all painting. The best is when all colors are the same consistency.
      Thank you! Good luck with the painting.

    Thank you very much for the tutorial. For me consistency and amount of paint are the challenges. But I appreciate your teaching basic primary colors and the result when mixed together. That part is easy enough but I like metallic colors and find mixing copper, Zinc , gold, etc. The rules aren't so easy or straightforward. I'd love to hear. you explain how to use Metallics with brights.

    I love your dynamic end result. I like a bit more shine in my artwork and to get it I add the Gac 800 from Golden and that also allows me to leave paint thicker without cracks. I make up a mixture of Gac 800 and Floetrol works very well. I really appreciate that you don't add water to your mixtures. I really love the patterns you get and the color separation seems good even when you make green, it's a nice green . I appreciate seeing another artist on RUclips, not sure how I missed you before this. I am subscribed now . Thanks for the inspiration.

    Awesome video! I am a mixed media artist, I work with torn paper and glue to create collages. I really wanted to do paint pouring but I didn’t understand how mixing all the colors worked. I have watched numerous videos, and most seem to want you to buy their art or products - with little clarity on technique.
