    You might already know this technique but if not have you tried doing your writing on large tissue type paper or deli paper? I keep a supply of different abstract shapes and symbols and I’m able to float them around the painting to find the right place. And you can rest assured that the paper will disappear! Only I’ve never tried using wax as a finished touch. I create with acrylic paint but I would love to do oil!
    This is a beautiful creation!

    Funny story about when people say something doesn’t look like art. I was exhibiting my flow art painting at a show this past weekend and a guy came into my booth. He saw one of my paintings from afar and shared with me that my painting looking just like paint splattered on a canvas yet he came into my booth and got up real close to the painting almost pressing his cheek to it to see how I added the dimensions and layers to it. He was drawn in by the paintings energy but his logical mind didn’t understand why. Several people offered an insulting comment and said my paintings were beautiful almost in the same breath.

    Hi Gwen! You are my favourite RUclipsr at the moment! Here is a question. I have been trying to collage rice paper on to paper with Wax Medium (Dorlands and Gamblins) but when I have checked how well it adheres leaving it a few weeks to dry - the collaged bits come off a bit easier than I would like to see. Is this a matter of leaving it longer to dry? Or will it always be possible to pull of fragments?

    Dear Gwen , in another video (can’t remember which one ) you talked about only using not more then five colours. My question is , can they be darkened and be made lighter ? And what if there gonna be mixed (blend ) on the canvas ?

    So was this rice paper? And also, at what point in an oil painting’s drying time do you do something like this? Is it after the underlying layers have fully cured, or is it okay to when they’re touch dry?

  • @Michelle-s8c8p
    @Michelle-s8c8p 2 месяца назад

    asemic what means in french ? very interesant. Je crois que c'est le mot sans le sens, écriture spontanée un peu comme le jazz ou la peinture abstraite. Merci pour votre démonstration et votre enthousiasme.

  • @HiThereHeyThere

    I saw another artist use tissue paper and it became transparent when put on the art piece. So that's another way , possibly with oil. I know hers was mix media. And adding like you did kinda makes it mix media vs just an oil painting.

    Asemic writing isn’t art? What the heck is wrong with people?! I find that people who says things like that should just really be saying ‘“I don’t like that,” which is really what they’re saying.
