Thanks. Now I understand why you never liked anything I ever did. Totally different wavelengths. You made me feel that I was not an artist so I gave up trying years ago. Now, in my old age, I want to try again. Flowers, forests, landscapes were my inspirations. Check out Richard McKinley, Albert Handell and Elizabeth Mowry. Mowry is the one who inspired me to try again. So kind and encouraging.

Never in all my years of teaching have I discouraged anyone from being the artist they want to be.

Gwen thank you once again for simplifying the procedure of finding a composition from a design and how to bring it together by using your own feelings of composing shapes and vol or making it into your own. Bless you for another great exercise.❤

This was very helpful. I use a viewfinder on my larger play paintings to find smaller ones I can cut out. But I haven’t tried to use it to find composition ideas in magazines. And…lol…when as you moved it over to the stool legs I said, “Oooooo!” out loud to myself, and then you did the same thing :) Thanks for the lesson!
