Tip for drying clothes in off weather... peg a shower curtain over the top.
I noticed you had a normal towel drying, I can highly recommend micro towels and or a micro swim beach changing smock. Packs small, drys easily and is lightweight. If using lightweight material clothing washing these is easy in camp or service station showers/bathrooms. You mention before about drying out wet weather gear, I wondered if you thought about or have utilised your pop up toilet tent for this? Again utilising a shower curtain in certain conditions could work. What are your thoughts on an air fryers for when on electric hook ups?
Loving your no nonsense info Vids.
Thank you. I have micro fibre towels for myself but I use normal towels on Winston (my dog) because the micro fibre ones don’t seem to dry him as good.
Great tip about the pop up tent though 👍🏼
I’ve just bought a small air fryer for the pod, it great 👍🏼
Thanks so much for watching our videos 🙌🏼
Terrific video, very well explained !
Many thanks!
Thanks for sharing. I’m from West Wales so to justify fuel expenditure I too tour for several weeks. I use a 7metre long motorhome so fuel cost are different but most of your costs seem quite similar. Food as you mentioned can vary hugely, particularly like me eating out occasionally. Some costs are there immaterial whether touring or at home so perhaps not an issue to consider. Thanks for sharing; I’m really enjoying your channel, keep up the good work!!!
That’s true; you got to eat regardless of if you’re travelling or at home. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌🏼
This is all great information, thank you.
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for sharing your experience Roseanna, I'll make sure coins are at hand when needed & also try those pies, personally I'm fortunate to live about an hour from Glencoe, so the NC500 is on the list early next year, especially as I am now retired and bought a campervan, thanks again, Trevor
Glad I could help, Trevor! You're going to have an amazing time! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Really enjoying your channel, Roseanna, lots of useful information. 👍🏻 👏🏻
Thank you very much!
Thanks for informative video.
In regards to washing, we've a small caravan with usual wetroom/bathroom. Discovered its very effect drying room with ducted heating, free to operate if on powered site, a good alternative to clothes lines or racks on wet days. On my todo list for next trip is to use drybag for washing small lots of clothes eg underwear, socks, tshirts. Will still need to use commercial washing machines but hopefully lot less frequently while still only carrying a few days of clothes.
There are youtube videos on washing clothes in drybags, worth a view.
Thanks for the tips. Sadly, I don't have a wetroom in my mini caravan, but I'll check out the drybags. 👍

Great tips, Roseanna. I would love to go on a a trip around Scotland with my caravan, and definitely NC500 is on my list - stunning views and lovely winding roads.
It was a brilliant trip. I definitely recommend you go. It had been on my list for a while, and even though I spent 6-weeks in Scotland, I still want to go back. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Roseanna,
Scrubba Bag (Amazon) is half your laundry answer.
Regards.
TD.
@@todddoran3203 Just checked it out. Looks great. Thanks for sharing.
The costs all seem very reasonable (as long as you don’t get carried away in the pie shop).
My main takeaway from this is that you should take as long as you can and see as much as you can.
That's exactly what I would recommend.
Overall, I was happy with the cost. And the pies were worth the spurge! 😅
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video Roseanna. I found this really interesting and useful. 🙂
Thank you so much for watching and commenting :)
@@Roz.S Hi, with reference to your comment on the length of time to do the NC500. Personally I would recommend a minimum of TWO WEEKS as there is so MUCH to see&do.🏴🏴🏴👍😎🏴
@@neilanderson841 Two weeks is a good amount of time 👍🏼 The NC500 was designed to be done over 5 days, but like you say, there is so much to do!! I took 6-weeks and still didn’t see everything!
@@Roz.S designed by whom??!. This summer I spent 6 weeks on the west coast and from Bettyhill to Durness. Not to much traffic maybe the 'must see' route is calming down.
@@neilanderson841 sounds awesome 👍🏼 The NC500 was created by the tourism board within North Highland Initiative to bring economic growth to the highlands.
I did the NC 500 in October , the worst biblical weather ever!!!! As a fully self contained camper van, you do need to visit a campsite to empty cassette, grey tank, and refill with water, every 3 to 4 days, cost varies 5 pounds, to 15 pounds, . I recommend the site at scourie , spar shop , revolution wash pod, and a bar attached!
Thanks so much for the tips. I had just left Scotland at the end of the September and then heard about all the October rain. Glad to hear you made it through.

what is it you do for a living to allow you this extended journey? Useful video and content I am planning next year to try and tick this off my list! Thank you
I'm a self-employed digital marketer. I set my own working hours and can work from anywhere with a laptop and wifi 👍🏼 I'm currently away in my Pod now 😀
Thanks for watching. Best of luck on your trip.
sounds brilliant, the modern world affords so much greater flexibility and your journey seems to be a great example of that.....well done you.
That’s why you go for a caravan it gives the freedom to tour .
Always keep your change
I love that I can just pitch the caravan and then I have my van to venture around in. :) Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very interesting. I've got a small Gobur folding caravan and I'm thinking about a Nemo diesel to pull it. How does yours perform as a towcar? Is it powerful enough or are you often forced into the lower gears?
My Nemo has a max towing capacity of 1000kg (braked), and my Go Pod has an MTPLM of 750kg (but I don't put much in it so it probably only weights 650kg), so the Nemo pulls it fine. I'm not sure what the max weight of your Gobur folding caravan is, but you just need to check the weight plate of the van you want to buy to make sure that it is within the limit. Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
My Gobur's MTPLM is 900kg but I'm always way below that so it looks like the Nemo could fit the bill.
Great help, thanks.

Did you stop over at Bettyhill 🤩
I was planning to, but I ran out of time, so I only got to drive through it. I stopped at Sango Sands instead for 4-nights, which is in Durness a few miles west of Bettyhill.
Yes but....... did you eat all those pies?? 😂
I most certainly did! And I enjoyed every single bite!! 😋
Wow what an attractive young lady and so independent too. Someone lucky will snap her up soon. Thats if she wants them to.
Thank you very much.

not at all creepy😅
And, being “a lady” commands greater respect !
Those skintflints whom park up on sides of roads clearly have never seen the 'hills have eyes'
😂😂 I have not seen The Hills Have Eyes....and after Googling it, I have no intensions of seeing it 😱😱🙈😂😂
@@Roz.S yeah well let that be a lesson to you rs especially in those welsh valleys. Theres a reason why the sheep keep sentry duty at night.

Put your soap straight in the wash machines on your dirty clothes. It made my clothes cleaner.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that next time 👍
