Great Vid ....Very entertaining to me. The last two minutes were especially interesting. I would have been very nervous on the flight if I saw that wing wiggling like that. Thank you for the good original stuff!
jaja que buen video se ve el old trafford y todo jaja excelente siempre hago viajes a Japon pero nunca hice escala en europa, en el proximo viaje si que voy a pasar por ahi... see you in London jajajajaja demaciado cheto
i really love their livery ....alot.....amazing airlines i've flew with them lotta times heathrow to jfk routes and now since they come home at chicago o hare .....now thts my route ....way to go VIRGIN ATLANTIC!!!!!!
woahh, lot o wing flex towards the end there. when i landed at jfk on a 747 it was dark, and after watching this 1'm glad, because that would have freaked me out!
Landing on 27R or 27L much more impressive. Great views of central london. This looked like 09R to me. Interesting to hear how the pilot plays with the trottles to keep on the glide slope.
I suppose you are right -when the plane is going in a direction from left to right, i am assuming that it is travelling west to east so it is travelling over Windsor etc- I live in Kew -a bit cinfused a
Sammy the wings flexing is a good thing they are designed to flex if they did'nt they could fail easier dont worry. Just for your information the wings of a B52 at the tips can flex plus/minus 15 feet during normal flight.
The wing weighs around 30000 pounds empty with around 10000 pounds of fuel in each one. each engine weighs around 9000 pounds alot of force on the wing plus carrying the load of the whole aircraft and the thrust loads amazing feat of engineering.
Stadium at 4:16 is the Twickenham Stadium. The largest Rugby Union Arena. Wembley is bigger, and has that arch on the top. But I honestly thought it was the Craven Cottage.
No No No!!! Im not thick! The title does day that! Every plane has its own registraton (just like cars) You wouldnt say that your car number plate was a "ford focus" would u!!!!
@drvrosco if you close your eyes, you wont even know the plane is moving, and this is coming from a pilot :P (dont worry i keep my eyes open when i fly :P)
At the end of the vid, they look like two hairdryers bouncing around on a scaffolding plank. I've only flown with virgin 4 times, and everytime its a dodgy landing. In the unfortunate event we have to make a forced landing, remove any obsticals from your pocket like: RED HOT PIECES OF ENGINE CASING!
dont be scared make the most of it soon in like 15 20 years the prices will go up and u wont even be able to fly unless ur wealthy.. LOL so just make the most of it
Enjoy these vids boys and girls, there's gonna b less and less of em' since the whole scare here in the states. NTSB is saying that its now gonna be enforced that during the final hour of flight you gotta keep your hands on your knees like your a damn 2nd grader.
You can see more of my videos over at Flightlevel350 dot com (although this is probably my best one). Just do a search for 'Georgio' and you'll find them.
One of the best landing videos I've seen on here. Nice and long, good view. Cool when the flaps were set to full, how the wing flexed.

Excellent clear video--the stadium dsc talks about is not Twickenham-- the stadium is somewhere near Slough-has anyone got any ideas

You can clearly make out Richmond riverside-and the stadium is Twickenham Rugby Stadium (I grew up in Putney, about 10 miles east of Heathrow)

I used a Sony DCR-PC8E PAL - it's a few years old now but has good picture quality and seems to pick up sound really well too. Hope that helps :)

Do you know what plane that is???
Where did you come from?
yea awesome camerea dude
4:40 --look at those 747 wings flapping--some turbulence there!
fram wear do you fly.
actually all virgin 400's currently run the general electric CF6
at 4.16 it is probaly twickenham rugby grond if im right! wembley would be the other way!
wing flex magic!
Its like you had a tripod or something...a human tripod?
No - the crew had done all their pre-landing duties so were seated, giving me the chance to film without getting told off.
No- i meant the name or registration??
hhmm aren't those CF engines?...I believe so!
just watching it makes my ears pop rofl
No No No!!!
Im not thick! The title does day that!
Every plane has its own registraton (just like cars)
You wouldnt say that your car number plate was a "ford focus" would u!!!!
2:30 - You can see Tibbet's Corner.
look lyk u had some torbulence during final...
Feroze0, you're dead right. I'm wrong. Looked again and it sure is 27L. I normally sit on the other side to get a view of central london.
4:31 you can hear the engines cuz they turned off the auto pilot (auto throttle)
@mattyb2111 unless you hit turbulence ;)
you can see the corveture of the planet a little bit lol.
was this sarcasm??? cause most anymore have tv's for everyone
