Isn't the voice of the flight attendant so lovely.. Really sweet. "And to all Singaporeans and residents of Singapore, a warm welcome home." She couldn't have said it any better... Singapore Airlines is definitely one if not the best airline in the world!
i take plane insanely just because of my job needs and mileages......:) Never noticed before that aeroplane is one of the ultimate attainment invention of mankind, thanks Hacki.
The wet conditions really make you appreciate the air brakes! At 3:36, after the thrust reversers had been deployed, you see the air and moisture being propelled forward. Amazing! I previously thought the brake produced by the engines is much more passive than that.
Just awsome video. Macnificient view. From ther best airline in the world. I think video must be taken from the bussiness class seats. Smooth landing i must say...
Yup. The air in that case has a lot of moisture already. As the air flows over the curved shape of the wing, the pressure drops enough that and lifts it into the air. That pressure drop also cools the air a lot. When the air cools below the dewpoint temp, it condenses into a cloud over the wing!
i think you might be confusing the spoilers with the flaps. The flaps are what are used to gain lift during low speed conditions and are also used during takeoff as well as landing (to increase drag). The spoilers however just cause air to flow over the wing which forces the plane to stay on the ground during landing.
quality didnt suck, yeah wasnt as good as this one. BUT still pretty decent. you captured the noises of an aircraft in the lading/taxi process pretty good
your lucky to get on an SIA's 747. i think i've only ever been on it once, out of the 5-6 times or so I've travelled with them. i always keep getting the 777's ! Damn, lol. but to watch a plane land ... is watching one of mankind's greatest feats.
Last time I flew on a 747 was in August 14, 2006. Back then, I didnt know that RUclips even existed, and only a few months before, I knew Yahoo videos and Google Videos were a thing, so didnt get the idea of even filming a flight video.
@sidhanthmelvani The pilot doesn't do that. That is the on-board computer retracting the leading edge Krueger-flaps to prevent them from getting destroyed by the reverse thrust. When reverse thrust is cancelled, they extend again, in case the pilot wants to go-around.
The slats stop the plane from lifting off the ground when it lands. It provides a downforce on the wing which holds the plane down on the runway. Try it for urself. When ur driving, stick ur hand out of the window and point it down like the slats. It'll tend to go down!
It is to provide a clearance for the reverse thrust airflow from being obsructed by the leading edge of the wing and to protect the slats from debries(FOD).
I always wondered how an airplane slowed down so quickly upon touchdown. I always hear the engines reverse thrust but never knew how they did it; now I got to see it!
That is a logical explanation. But the thing is, the airlines requires the electronic devices to be switched off. Not kept away. Some people don't exactly keep their devices even though its switched off.
@Techno04335 Yes, unfortunately so. :( They might be gone by the end of this year. SIN-NRT-LAX will become an A380 from March, which leaves only SIN-FRA-JFK as the sole B747-400 flight, with occasional services to Melbourne and such.
@@Hacki22 Thank You So presumably The Video is of SQ25 which actually originates from New York JFK via Frankfurt then on home to Singapore where you transfered onto a flight to Hong Kong?
Ultra-high humidity ... you can see they must have had pretty good rainfall just previous from the spray kicked up when the engines go to reverse thrust ...
meh, the feeling on a 747 just feels better... also, the seating arrangement of 2-5-2 (or 3-5-3, i think?) means my whole family can get the middle seats ... haha..
@EasternMerchant ohh and you forgot boeing also builds way more then airbus( I don't mean planes I mean stuff like satilites, missles, bombs, military vehicles, rockets, space shuttle.) soooo yeah.
I sat and watched that same view as a boy flying back and forth to LHR. Very sad it’s gone. The most iconic livery for the 400 for me
Isn't the voice of the flight attendant so lovely.. Really sweet. "And to all Singaporeans and residents of Singapore, a warm welcome home." She couldn't have said it any better... Singapore Airlines is definitely one if not the best airline in the world!
Super video...very clear, good shot of wings, engines, loved it!!! Good job!!!!
oh man.. the annoucement is mesmerizing... :)
Watched this video first time 6 years ago. Watched it countless times already. 👍🏻
A very nice one done.. Love the arrival announcement too.. :) Indeed. Singapore Airlines IS a Great way to fly
i take plane insanely just because of my job needs and mileages......:)
Never noticed before that aeroplane is one of the ultimate attainment invention of mankind, thanks Hacki.
Great Video. Singapore and Qantas are my favourite airlines. Good work with this video.
It's surprising to see something so calming on RUclips.
That was exquisite. I just flew the monsoon approach to Singapore on FSX and it was hard!!! I love the reverse thrust spray on this vid!!!
Great video! It's always awesome to see just how much the wings actually flex up and down during flight.
Nice video!! which camera did you use to film it?
hey hacki22, what do you use that makes your videos as smooth as it gets?
as long as camera is fixed, i like all kind of internal aircraft videos!
great job
Nice Vid again in "Hacki quality"...Love the power of the thrust reversers...
i love every aspect of the
747-100/200/300/400/SP. Every single sound engine of the 747 i like
Great video.. thanks for uploading!
That’s perfect filming on the wing eye view
Wow ! What a great video ! The 747 is an awesome machine-incredible power. Those planes are incredible. Thanks for sharing video.
Wow ... awesome video there, especially upon landing with the thrust reversers deploying and throwing up a huge spray! A very wet day at Changi, eh?
Sweet announcement! Welcoming home all Singaporeans and resdidents... I wanna go back!
Hello!Nice landning to Singapore Airport!
Nice landning near water!=)
I give you 5 star for this film!=)
Greeting TheCARRE74=)

great wing eye view, well done
SINGAPORE AIRLINS ROCKS!!! good vid btw

I'll miss the Singapore Airlines B747s for sure. :(

You did a great job filming landing
Great recording, very stable!
i agre, if i may ask, whihc camera was being used. quality was spot on
The 747-400 with those huge Pratt&Whitney engines are a marvel to watch from the perfect window seat. Do you remember your seat assignment? Nice work-
Nice wing flex and vortex
Pratt and Whitney sounds good
It relives memories of my trip to Singapore 1n 1995
Wow!!! It's soo pretty!!
May seem like a silly Question... WHat's that "cloud" on the wing? Is it some sort of condensation? Coz of the moist weather?
i think you might be confusing the spoilers with the flaps. The flaps are what are used to gain lift during low speed conditions and are also used during takeoff as well as landing (to increase drag). The spoilers however just cause air to flow over the wing which forces the plane to stay on the ground during landing.
Great shot!

Beautiful, robust beast ... thanks for the vid.

very nice video, looked like it took forever for the plane to actually get on the ground at the very end of the approach
3:35 - Nice shot of the reverse thrusters at work, especially with the rain water on the runway.
Very nice footage, thanks for sharing.
Great landing !add in my fav too!
Was The Flight Coming From LHR,FRA,JFK,CDG?
damn that reverse thrust is so cool :D

i'm guesting you took a flight from hong kong or tokyo?
great vid!
nice video thanks
awesome, i wanna be a pilot when im older!
Awesome!!!

clear and precise landing

Good Video. :)
VERY BEAUTIFULL,
AWESOME !!!!! 500 stars!!!

Some people don't exactly keep their devices even though its switched off.
@Plane747 are they getting rid of them?
Nice wing flex and vortex
@LadyAshe12 did you see the wing move like a bouncing ball?
actually, water does seep in, the engine bleed air takes some of the air and pumps it into the cabin, to keep it pressurized
Nice!
fuck, this movie makes me very happy and mood! Especially when it hit the ground.
100000000000 Stars!
Man! That was a whole lot of condensation above the wing there. Almost looked like the wing was on fire.
awesome...soooooo fu***ing amazing..
What a beautiful machine

Always loved and will always love the 747-400. Too bad SIA is phasing them out slowly :(
Amazing
sonic booms can be made with a bull whip... the tip actually flys faster than sound
great!
nc vid and nc seat ~
that is the air condensation. the speed of the plane make if form.
Is This a flight from Heathrow?
F R A - H K G
@@Hacki22 Thank You So presumably The Video is of SQ25 which actually originates from New York JFK via Frankfurt then on home to Singapore where you transfered onto a flight to Hong Kong?
I think this is the complement to his vid of the SI 744 taking off from Zurich.
nice filming
Ultra-high humidity ... you can see they must have had pretty good rainfall just previous from the spray kicked up when the engines go to reverse thrust ...
You are correct. :)
Why did the tech crew retract the slats forward of the wing immediately after touchdown (before reverse thrust). Is this normal? -- Yes it is normal
long live the 747!! :)and yes of course SQ!! :)
HACKI22 u are US MARSHALL?, you fly some times a month lol
what's the model of those engines?
sounded like a really solid landing lol
wow the wing it pretty shaking!,airbus planes doesnt shake that much or the plane it old
meh, the feeling on a 747 just feels better... also, the seating arrangement of 2-5-2 (or 3-5-3, i think?) means my whole family can get the middle seats ... haha..
ya your right. can i have the proper definition of a charter flight. noone ever told me it
What happened with engines at 3.30? Reverse?
killahertz1981 yep.
me too. i want to fly the 777s. my fav aircraft
it is indeed sad that these beauties are leaving SIA's fleet. Almost all of the B747 routes are now replaced by the 777W and soon A380.
was that actually sonic boom at 2.50
what seat is this?
@EasternMerchant ohh and you forgot boeing also builds way more then airbus( I don't mean planes I mean stuff like satilites, missles, bombs, military vehicles, rockets, space shuttle.) soooo yeah.
Yeah. i wonder why. It doesn't pop when its taking off, but it pops only when its descending.
Best window seat
SQ were 10 years head of every other airlines in the 90's
